Chapter 34 Lu Laosan's Little Thoughts
Lu Dasong didn't go to see the villagers. He released Lu Sanzhu and warned him, "Your second sister-in-law and the others have just reunited. Don't disturb them if you have nothing to do, understand? Go back to your home."
He had things to do in the fields, so he didn't stay any longer. He glared at Lu Sanzhu and left.
However, this time his steps were much lighter. After all, finding Er Ya was a great joy, and Lu Dasong was very happy.
Seeing that he could no longer be seen, Lu Sanzhu snorted and spat at his back, "Big brother is really cunning. It's one thing to leave on your own, but to block my path to wealth."
Madam Liang winked at him, "Don't worry, we did help Second Sister-in-law just now, standing on her side and exposing Granny Ruan's scheme. Er Ya should remember this favor, right?"
"I have to remember, even if she doesn't, I'll remind her." Lu Sanzhu snorted twice, glanced at the gate of Lu Er's courtyard, and waved his hand. "Forget it, let's go home first and give them some time to catch up. We'll visit them later and show our faces in front of Er Ya more often. Luckily, the real Er Ya is that Miss Shu. She seems to be a wealthy person. It wouldn't hurt to help out our poor uncles and aunts who helped her."
Mrs. Liang nodded, and the couple, their hearts filled with joy, chuckled as they entered the house.
Meanwhile, Shu Yu, whom they were worried about, was being pulled into the house by Madam Ruan.
As soon as she entered, Madam Ruan couldn't help but cry again, gripping her tightly with one hand. "Er Ya, have you been doing well all these years? Did the people who bought you mistreat you? How did you find your way here? Where are your adoptive parents? They..."
She asked questions quickly and urgently, but Shu Yu didn't interrupt. After she had asked enough, she said, "I'm fine. You don't think I've suffered, right? The family that bought me originally wanted a boy, but since I was a girl, they just gave me away. My adoptive parents treated me very well; I was their only daughter. They passed away in an accident a couple of years ago, and that's when they told me about my background and asked me to come and find my family."
Shu Yu naturally couldn't tell them about the Shu family, so she could only make up an excuse, "I only found out where you were a few days ago, so I wanted to come and see you. I'm sorry I didn't acknowledge you at first; I wasn't sure if you'd welcome me..."
"Welcome, of course you're welcome."
"Yes, I know."
After hearing that she was doing well, Madam Ruan finally breathed a long sigh of relief, patted her hand and said, "Thanks to your adoptive parents, once we've settled down, I'll go with you to visit them."
Shu Yu: "..." Where can I watch it?
She could only nod vaguely, avoiding Ruan's gaze.
Then she saw Sanya and Dahu standing to the side, intently observing her.
Seeing their identical expressions, Shu Yu couldn't help but feel better. She smiled and waved to them, "What's wrong? I'm your second sister, aren't you happy?"
"I'm not unhappy at all, I'm so happy, it's like, like I'm dreaming." Sanya said softly, carefully stepping forward, and then reaching out her little hand to gently touch her.
Da Hu nodded vigorously beside him, as if afraid that Shu Yu would misunderstand and leave in displeasure.
As Mrs. Ruan watched the three siblings get along with a sense of satisfaction and joy, a knock came from outside the courtyard gate.
