Chapter 36 Delicious Stomping Feet
Shu Yu is a pretty good cook; in her past life, she put a lot of effort into her food in order to climb to the side of her enemy.
Sanya immediately raised her hand, "I'll do the fire, I'm really good at starting fires."
Big Tiger refused to be outdone, saying, "I... I'm even better."
"Nonsense, my fire burns brighter than yours."
Watching the three siblings getting along so intimately, Madam Ruan felt a mix of bittersweet emotions, yet also immense joy. She wiped her eyes and stepped forward, saying, "You all rest, I can manage."
Shu Yu would absolutely not let Ruan Shi cook noodles, otherwise there would be absolutely no oil or flavor. She wasn't a fan of heavy oil and salt, but she refused to have just two drops of oil in a bowl of vegetables.
Shu Yu pushed Ruan Shi out and took out the bowls and plates he had bought in the county town for her to wash.
Madam Ruan had no choice. Er Ya was filial, so she couldn't be too polite to her, otherwise Er Ya would overthink it and think that she didn't treat her like a daughter anymore.
However, when Madam Ruan came in after washing up, she saw Shu Yu preparing to stir-fry shredded pork. The oil was poured out in a thick layer, and Madam Ruan almost covered her chest and screamed in surprise.
She wanted to say that they shouldn't pour so much oil; it would be too wasteful.
She opened her mouth, then quickly closed it again, and then, with a heavy heart, placed the dishes one by one into the cupboard, though her eyes kept glancing at the stove.
Shu Yu put the sliced meat down, and heard a 'sizzling' sound as the aroma wafted up.
Sanya and Dahu stood by the stove, puffing out their chests and taking deep breaths, their eyes narrowed in ecstasy.
"It smells so good, it smells amazing."
Ruan thought to herself, "Isn't it fragrant? There's so much oil in it."
The meat is cut into thin strips, so it cooks quickly.
Shu Yu used chopsticks to pick up two pieces and gave them to the two little ones. As soon as they put them in their mouths, the two looked up in surprise and said, "Delicious!"
This was the best meat they had ever eaten in their lives.
Sanya stomped her feet in delight, and Da Hu... Da Hu went out and ran around the yard.
Ruan couldn't help but smile slightly; she had rarely smiled since Er Ya disappeared.
The noodles cooked quickly. Shu Yu took a bowl, scooped up the cooked noodles, and placed them on the table.
At first, Mrs. Ruan was standing far away and didn't notice, but now she realized that the amount of noodles was unusually large.
My mother-in-law and husband aren't here, so they probably can't eat all of this, right? But if we leave it until tomorrow, the noodles will get soggy.
She glanced at Shu Yu, but ultimately said nothing, and told the two children to wash their hands.
Who knew that Da Hu would run in halfway through his shower, saying, "Mom, Second Sister, Third Uncle is knocking on the door."
Upon hearing this, Madam Ruan exclaimed inwardly, "Oh no, they must have come here by the scent."
With her mother-in-law gone, she's no match for her third brother and sister-in-law; she might not be able to protect this side.
Da Hu hurriedly said, "I'll take the basin to the room and hide it."
Sanya shook her head, "No, Grandma said Uncle San has a dog's nose."
The three of them were in a panic. There wasn't much good food at home, and with the old lady keeping an eye on things, Lu Sanzhu rarely came over.
Shu Yu remained calm, even taking out a large bowl and picking out a portion of the noodles.
He then said to Da Hu, "Go open the door and let him in."
"Huh?" Da Hu was taken aback for a moment, then quickly explained to her, "Second Sister, you don't know Third Uncle's temperament, he will..."
"I know," Shu Yu said with a smile. "I made extra noodles on purpose, because I knew he would come."
The three people present were dumbfounded. What did the second sister mean?
