Chapter 704 Poor Relationship with the Shu Family
Shu Yu paused slightly with his chopsticks, then looked up and said, "The Hou family begged you, sir, to go to the post station on purpose in order to avoid the Shu family."
Wang Changdong was surprised, "You don't get along well with the rest of the Shu family?"
Although he knew about Shu Yu, he only knew about her background; he really didn't know anything about her relationship and grievances with the Shu family.

Fang Xiyue was touched and said, "Okay." She wouldn't accept it for nothing; it was for her father's medicine.
Although Dr. Lu said that the herbs were all picked by himself and were common herbs that didn't cost much, they still had to pay the due fees, but they were short of money at the moment.
Fortunately, she had taken advantage of her free time these past two days to go to town and buy needles and thread. She would do some needlework and sell it, and soon she would be able to save up some money.
As they were talking, Ma Lu and the others came over.
After resting for two days, they went to visit the prefectural city. The group was full of energy and walked with a brisk pace.
Upon seeing Shu Yu, the others came over to greet her. However, Wang Changdong was also present, and out of consideration for Shu Yu's status, they didn't exchange many pleasantries.
Wang Changdong, however, inquired about their trip to the prefectural city. Shu Yu then learned that after arriving in the prefectural city, they had rescued a young master who had fallen into the water. The young master, seeing that they were tall and strong but dressed shabbily, even considered arranging work for them.
When he learned that they were exiled prisoners, the young master's expression changed drastically. But since they had saved him, he couldn't be ruthless, so he simply gave them fifty taels of silver to split among themselves.
Fifty taels, ten taels per person, truly touched the hearts of Ma Lu and his companions.
As they talked, they burst into laughter, and amidst their chatter, two more groups slowly approached.
Shu Yu then decided to get to work. "I'll go get paper and pen and register you all first."
However, before she could leave, Wang Changdong stood up and said, "No rush. I have something to say after the whole team has arrived. It's not too late to register after we finish speaking."
Shu Yu stopped and simply stood aside with Fang Xiyue to wait.
A little while later, Aunt Fang came over and cleared away the dishes.
Soon after, the hunting party arrived.
