Chapter 708 Big Tiger and Sanya Are Not Here

Chapter 708 Big Tiger and Sanya Are Not Here

After finally completing the registration, Shu Yu breathed a sigh of relief.

After tidying up, she prepared to go home and get some sleep. Actually, besides the land reclamation team and the hunting team, there were other people doing other things, such as the people at the music and dance school.

However, their return time is unpredictable; they went to perform somewhere yesterday and didn't come back. Therefore, they have a dedicated old woman to take care of them, so they don't need to report to the village regularly.

Shu Yu put the booklet away and locked it. Then she said goodbye to Wang Changdong, "Brother Wang, I'm going back now. If you need any help, just have someone call me."

"Okay, you can go back now." Wang Changdong yawned again; he was also very sleepy and planned to take a nap.

Shu Yu washed his hands and then left the manor.

Aunt Fang also went out with them. Aunt Fang now has much more free time. After she finishes making breakfast every day, she basically has nothing to do. There are dedicated servants to clean up the dishes and stove.

She could go home to take care of her father, do laundry, and tidy up the house, which would give her about an hour of her own time. Then, around 9 AM, she could return to the estate to prepare the food.

She even said to Shu Yu, "Once things are settled here, I'll catch a few chickens to raise. They can lay eggs and give Xi Yue some good nutrition. By the way, where did you catch your chickens?"

The chickens at home were raised by the old lady. She originally wanted to raise a pig, but Shuyu didn't agree, fearing it would tire her out, so she had to give up the idea.

"My brother caught our chickens in the county town. They're four months old and can't lay eggs yet. If Aunt Fang wants to buy some that can lay eggs now, I'll take her to the county town next time Fang Xiyue has a day off."

"Okay, thank you then."

The two talked for a while, then parted ways when they were almost home.

When Shu Yu entered the house, the old lady and the other two had already finished eating. She didn't say exactly when she would be back, so the old lady kept her food warm in the pot.

Shu Yu peeled an egg and ate it, leaving the rest warm.

"Grandma, from now on I'll eat breakfast at the farm, so you don't have to get up so early."

The old lady was quite pleased to hear her explanation. It was certainly good that there was breakfast on the estate; otherwise, she would be starving by the time she returned after finishing her chores.

She quickly pushed Shu Yu back to her room, saying, "Okay, I've remembered everything you said. Go to sleep now."

Shu Yu was indeed a little sleepy, probably because she had been waking up late in the past few days and had gotten used to it. Waking up early made her feel like she hadn't had enough sleep.

Shu Yu smiled, greeted her younger siblings, and went back inside.

However, she had gotten enough sleep, and woke up half an hour later.

After lying in bed for a while, Shu Yu sat up and washed her face. She then realized that only the old lady was home; San Ya and Da Hu were not there.

At this time of day, Da Hu should be in his room reading and teaching San Ya to read, but now, there's no one there.

The old lady couldn't possibly let them go out. They had just arrived in Zhengdao Village and didn't know many families. They were unfamiliar with the place and the people, and it was a place full of prisoners. How could the old lady feel at ease letting such young children go out alone?

When Zhao Xi was around, he would take them out to collect firewood and catch fish, and they would play for a while before coming back.

Shu Yu walked up behind the old lady who was feeding the chickens in the yard and asked, "Grandma, where are Da Hu and San Ya? I haven't seen them."
