The woman turned around abruptly and realized that two young women were standing behind her. She had been so engrossed in her conversation that she hadn't noticed them at all.
Zhou Qiao's expression also changed. She had been standing behind the counter, and her second aunt had blocked her view, so she hadn't noticed that a customer had arrived.
I wonder how much this girl heard; I hope she doesn't misunderstand.
She quickly came out from behind the counter and said to Shu Yu and the other girl, "Are you two ladies here to buy clothes? Come in and take a look. Our shop has the newest clothes and the prices are fair. You two are pretty, so I'm sure any clothes will suit you."
Shu Yu and Daya stepped inside, but instead of following Zhou Qiao's lead, they looked at the woman beside them and chuckled, "You've got quite the clever plan."
The woman was taken aback, then realized that the other person had overheard her words. She immediately became angry and said, "Who are you? You have the nerve to eavesdrop on me? Standing there like a ghost, I don't know what kind of wicked thing you're up to."
Zhou Qiao's expression changed, "Second Aunt!"
The woman scoffed, "What? Did I say something wrong? We're family, why should others meddle?"
"Family?" Shu Yu scoffed. "You're meddling in the Lu family's affairs, but I'm a member of the Lu family. How can it not concern me?"
Both the woman and Zhou Qiao were startled. "You, you say you're from the Lu family? Which member of the Lu family are you? I've never seen you before."
"Unfortunately enough, I am the second daughter of Lu Erbai's family, the one you mentioned who committed a crime and was exiled thousands of miles away. You've been gossiping about me behind my back quite enthusiastically, haven't you? You have the nerve to say that?"
The woman stared at her wide-eyed in disbelief. "Who do you think you are?"
“This is my sister, Ayu. I am Daya. My father is Lu Erbai, and my cousin is Lu Daniu. Is that clear?” Daya stepped forward and glared at the woman as she spoke.
The woman looked astonished. "You, you..." She pointed a finger at him. "Weren't you exiled?"
