Shu Yu took out three bowls, putting two steamed buns in each bowl, before calling out to the old lady who was still listening to Lu Sanzhu gesticulating and spouting nonsense.
The old lady already knew the gist of what had happened. Now, as she entered the kitchen, she grasped Shuyu's hand, her face filled with lingering fear. "Thank goodness for you, Er Ya, thank goodness you came back, otherwise..."
Her eyes welled up with tears, and she choked out, "Otherwise, this family would truly be destroyed."
She had no idea that the old woman from the Ruan family had also set her sights on Da Hu and San Ya. Her family was almost finished.
