Chapter 35 Egg and Shredded Pork Noodles

Chapter 35 Egg and Shredded Pork Noodles

At first, Ruan thought it was Lu Laosan and his wife, but then she heard Da Niu's voice outside, "Second Aunt, it's me, Da Niu."

Da Hu hurriedly turned around and ran over to open the courtyard gate.

Da Niu walked in with a happy look on his face, carrying the rice, flour, and cooking oil that Shu Yu had bought.

Shu Yu and Ruan Shi also came over. Da Niu looked at Shu Yu, his eyes sparkling, "You, you really are Er Ya?"

"It's me."

Da Niu laughed and said in a simple and honest way, "Okay, that's good. It's good that you're back."

When he drove the oxcart to take Shuyu to the village entrance, Shuyu ran back first. Da Niu had originally come along, but he had to drive the oxcart, and the village roads were narrow, so he was moving slowly.

Halfway there, they happened to run into Lu Dasong, who was rushing back from the fields. Lu Dasong told him not to go, that Granny Ruan was not easy to deal with, and that Da Niu was honest and a junior, so he would only suffer losses if he faced her directly.

He can go and take a look himself.

So Lu Dasong told Da Niu to return the oxcart to the village chief's house first, and then go home to call his wife over. Some things are easier for women to resolve with each other.

When Da Niu returned the oxcart to his home and asked his mother to come and help, she was unwilling, saying she didn't want to get involved in Granny Ruan's affairs. She even nearly snatched the rice, flour, and cooking oil away from him when she saw him returning.

Just as Da Niu was arguing with his mother, Lu Dasong returned.

Da Niu then learned about Shu Yu's identity and quickly carried his things to Lu Lao Er's house.

He told Madam Ruan, "These were all bought by Shu... Er Ya. She heard that you had encountered trouble here, so she ran back. She didn't have time to pick them up, so I brought them to you."

Ruan looked at the things Da Niu was carrying in astonishment. "This, this, Er Ya, why did you buy all this?"

Shu Yu just smiled and said to Da Niu, "Thank you. It's getting late, why don't you stay for dinner?"

"No, no, I have dinner at home, so I'll head back now."

Da Niu waved his hand, finished speaking, and left.

The courtyard gate closed again, leaving only Shu Yu and a few others in the courtyard.

Ruan looked at the rice and flour on the ground and remained silent for a long time.

Shu Yu simply handed the oil to San Ya, put the meat in Da Hu's hands, and picked up the rice, noodles, and bowls and plates herself, saying, "Come on, help me take them to the kitchen."

Sanya and Dahu exchanged a glance, and seeing that Shuyu had already walked towards the kitchen without looking back, the two of them quickly followed.

Ruan was stunned for a moment, then hurriedly followed.

"Er Ya, why did you buy so much food? What are you doing? You finally came back, we should be the ones taking care of you, not you spending money."

Shu Yu placed the rice and noodles on the table, turned her head to meet Ruan Shi's flustered expression, and said with a slightly downcast tone, "If you continue to say such things and be so polite to me, then you are treating me like an outsider."

"No, no, how could I treat you like an outsider? You are my Er Ya, Mother won't stand on ceremony with you anymore, no more formalities."

Shu Yu immediately waved to Da Hu and San Ya, "Okay, let's make noodles tonight, that'll save us the trouble. How about egg and shredded pork noodles? We should have eggs at home, right?"

Egg and shredded pork noodles?

Sanya and Dahu swallowed hard, their eyes shining as they looked at Shuyu.

Shu Yu asked them to help her get a basin, saying, "Today I'll show you what I'm capable of, but you'll have to help me start the fire."
