Chapter 101 The Five-Man Adventurer

The group caught up with Mu Jin.

Mu Jin stopped at the edge of a cliff and threw the rope down the bushy slope, tying one end to a thick tree.

The cat also went over.

It was pitch black. Even with a strong flashlight, the bushes and weeds blocked the view, making it impossible to see how deep the cliff was or what the situation was like.

The cat turned around and asked, "Why are you here in the middle of the night? Can't you come during the day?"

Ye Mingshi said, "It's cool at night."

Cat: "I don't believe you."

Since the others obviously wouldn't tell, Maomao didn't press the issue. Just like last time, Maomao knew that if she asked too many questions, they wouldn't be able to play together anymore.

However, they were definitely not here for the first time; they had already scouted the location. So, after Mu Jin laid out the rope, he went down without hesitation.

"Kitty, are you really going down? Or, you can wait for us here?" Ye Mingshi said, ultimately unable to bear seeing the delicate girl climbing up and down with several grown men.

The cat shook its head. "No, that would be so boring. Besides, it's so dark, I'd be scared to be alone."

Upon hearing this, the others' expressions became somewhat unusual. "You dared to go down a cliff, what's there to be afraid of in the dark?"

Without saying a word, the cat had already tightened the rope and was walking down the cliff.

Ye Mingshi and the other two, who were lagging behind, quickly followed.

The cliff was very deep, and this was a desolate place where no one usually came. About half an hour later, the group finally reached the bottom of the cliff. There was water in the ravine, and the sound of flowing water could be heard in the silence.

And you know what? It's actually quite cool here during the hottest days of summer!

There was no path below, just piles of large stones. You had to wade through water to get across. Even in broad daylight, this kind of path would be difficult to walk on, but none of them had fallen behind.

Ye Mingshi said in surprise, "Kitty, you have great stamina."

The cat snorted, "Of course, I can last even longer."

Ye Mingshi was stunned by these words and muttered, "Hey, saying that is really... a bit too wild."

Cat: "I'm going to stand by Ah Jin's side, and of course I'll overcome all obstacles to be the best."

Ye Mingshi looked at the cat in surprise, "You're really insightful, and you're so well-prepared..."

Ye Mingshi thought to herself, "Cat Cat even knows that Jin Er's fangirls are all incredibly powerful fighters? Isn't this strategy a bit too good...?"

Cat Cat, however, was thinking that since Ah Jin, who was once a second-generation fairy, had so many fairy sisters who coveted him, she should naturally be the one who lasted the longest.

At this moment, Mu Jin suddenly stopped.

The others naturally stopped as well.

The cat poked its head out, puzzled. "Have we arrived at our destination?"

Mu Jin said, "No."

As he spoke, he bent down, rolled up his trouser legs, and jumped down, using the boulder beneath his feet as leverage.

Almost half of his body was submerged in the water!

The cat then realized that there was a low-lying area ahead, a deep pond with water more than a meter deep, and there was no way to detour; it could only cross the water.

Ye Mingshi jumped down after him and asked, "What about the cat?"

As Tan Zheng jumped down, she said, "When you brought her here, you didn't think about how we would get through this place."

This guy, he's definitely not going to take responsibility. After saying that, he took the lead and walked away.

Cat looked at Ah Jin and blinked sincerely. "Ah Jin, I can swim across. I'm pretty good at swimming. If I catch a cold and have a fever and fall into a coma tomorrow, I believe you and Ye Mingshi won't leave me to die."

Ye Mingshi nodded: "...That's right, I will definitely not stand by and watch you die."

Gu Zeyi glanced at the two clowns, then shone a light on Mu Jin to illuminate the way. "Jin Er, hurry up. You have to take responsibility for the people you brought."

Mu Jin turned around and extended her hand, "Come on up."

The cat beamed and instantly climbed onto Mu Jin's back, quite skillfully.

"You want to strangle me?" Mu Jin said.

Cat immediately loosened her grip and said with a smile, "Ah Jin, you're really fierce!"

Mu Jin slipped, causing violent ripples on the water's surface. She gritted her teeth and said, "If you can't speak properly, then don't speak at all!"

The cat shut up...

After wading through the puddle and walking through the pile of stones, we finally arrived at our destination!

There's a small waterfall ahead, and the whole way is completely wild. But here, a small stone bridge suddenly appears, connecting to the other side of the stream.

The group walked over and entered a cave along a narrow path.

At first glance, there seemed to be nothing special in the cave, but after a few people cleared away the weeds, an oval-shaped stone bed came into view.

I wonder how long ago, people probably lived here.

Ye Mingshi suddenly said, "Why can't I see anything? Wasn't it supposed to appear at midnight?"

Tan Zheng said, "It's not midnight yet."

Ye Mingshi couldn't help but say, "Does it really have to wait until midnight? That would be another two hours."

Mu Jin and Gu Zeyi were studying the stone bed.

Cat was completely confused. She said, "What do you mean by midnight? What are you waiting for?"

Ye Mingshi turned around, put the flashlight on her chin, and said fiercely, "Wait... Sister Ghost!"

"Um?"

The cat's eyes suddenly darted around, and in the empty space around her, her gaze seemed to find its place, as if she was really looking at something!

She sniffed lightly, then looked at Ye Mingshi and said, "Hehe, these are all ghost grandmas! There are no older sisters here!"

Looking at the cat's innocent and cheerful smiling face, Ye Mingshi suddenly shivered violently, feeling a chill run down her spine.
