Chapter 282 Master and Prey

The person, who had been sitting perfectly still, turned around and looked at the cat.

He smiled.

"Miss Cat, how do you know you weren't the prey?"

The cat chuckled, "Because no one can force me to do things I don't want to do."

Just then, a beam of light suddenly shone on the stage directly in front of the venue, and a thirty-second countdown appeared on the giant screen.

The man glanced at it and then said, "Miss Cat, if I refuse you now..."

Cat: "Then let's go hunting together, hee hee."

Once the 30-second countdown ends, the self-pairing time is over.

The consequences of being the prey of the public are obviously serious. The lone person started to panic. One person ran up to the cat and said directly to the person sitting down, "I am willing to be your prey."

The roles of hunter and prey must be clear, and this must be determined during the pairing process, as it affects the entire game afterwards.

This person ran over and said he wanted to be the prey, which obviously made him a better match, because in all games, the hunter is in a dominant position.

Before the man could speak, the cat pushed him away, saying, "Sorry, he's already my prey."

For some reason, the people who came later looked at the cat in surprise, but he still stood not far away staring at the man sitting there, as if he still held a sliver of hope.

However, the person turned the ring on their hand without saying a word.

Suddenly, the stage lights went out! The countdown disappeared too!

"Oh, ladies and gentlemen, the game is about to begin!" said the playful voice, the surround sound echoing throughout the venue.

The person who had just run over to say he was going to be the prey let out a small gasp, conveying a hint of fear.

The cat sat down next to her prey. "Hehe, poor prey, from now on you have to call me master."

Since he didn't refuse, the roles of those two people were now set.

“Miss Cat, you saw it yourself, I saved you. If I had promised someone else, you would be like them now.” the person said.

Meanwhile, the stage lights came on again, but this time the spotlight shone on the stage, illuminating the few people who were left out.

A host in a tuxedo walked onto the stage, and was then pushed up by men in black into a row of transparent glass cages. The few people who were left out were locked inside one by one.

Here, regardless of one's status or identity behind the mask, everyone must abide by the rules of the game.

Not everyone is afraid of these public prey that are kept in captivity; some even tremble with excitement as they lie comfortably in their cages, displaying themselves.

Even though the cage has a water inlet device at the top, water is constantly being poured down from the heads of the communal prey and accumulating at the bottom of the cage. It looks like the cage will be completely filled with water in less than an hour.

Some people are naturally inclined to dominate, while others are naturally inclined to be dominated.

The cat merely glanced at the stage and said, "You're still a naive prey. The farmer saved the snake, but did the snake thank him? Hehe."

The person chuckled along with the cat, "Hehe, yes, then, Master."

He looked at the cat, not expecting it to change its mind so quickly.

The cat glanced at the mask he was wearing; it was shaped like a bat. He sat there, seemingly motionless, and never actively sought out his prey, as if he didn't care how the game would end.

Cat was looking for someone, and she had been paying attention to everyone, so she naturally didn't miss this person.

Since we're going to have fun, we should find someone fun to play with, and that's him.

At this point, the host said, "Let me tell you the role requirements for tonight. The master can sit, but the prey must stand. The master can give orders, and the prey must obey."

This is the basic rule of the game between master and prey; anyone who knows this game understands it.

However, the players still got excited when they heard the host say it!

The cat's bat prey chuckled and asked her, "Master, should I stand up now?"

While he was asking the cat, the other prey had already stood up.

The cat said, "Isn't this the rule?"

The man replied, “If you use your second privilege, grant me a seat.”

Then he can sit there openly and legitimately.

The cat turned its head, looked at its prey who seemed to know the rules of the game very well, and laughed, "Hehe, naive prey, please stand up."

The bat prey looked at the cat and slowly stood up.

Once he stood up straight, Maomao could see his whole body clearly. He was very tall, and his aura immediately rose. His hands were naturally clasped together, with his left hand pinching the ring on his right middle finger.

That ring was quite unique; the face of the ring was a dzi bead, resembling a slender eye.

At this point, the master added, "During the game, the prey has one chance to devour its master. If the prey succeeds, the roles of master and prey will immediately switch."

This is also the second most crucial rule in this game.

The cat asked its bat prey, "Will you devour your master?"

The man smiled and said, "I wouldn't dare, Master."

The cat retorted, "No, you seem to dare to do anything, hehe... Tell me, what if I command you not to devour your master?"

The person said, "Master, this is a game bug. I must obey you, but if I still devour you, I will not have done anything wrong."

The cat asked, "So, are you going to listen or not?"

The man seemed to have completely assumed the role of prey, saying, "Master, I will obey your will unconditionally."

The cat raised an eyebrow. "However, I won't ask you to do that, but I'm warning you, you can't defy me."

At this moment, the host finally began to talk about today's game: "Today, there are a total of thirty-six pairs of characters. However, the resources in the venue are limited, and only one pair of characters can survive. So, you will compete against each other, and the final winner will have the right to dominate the entire venue."

These words immediately caused a stir among everyone in the room!

Thirty-six pairs, only one can survive! Such fierce competition naturally gets everyone's blood pumping! As a result, everyone is surrounded by competitors!

"Tsk tsk." The cat shook its head slightly. This was truly a cruel set of rules.

"Master, are we the final winners?" the bat prey suddenly asked, speaking in a light, even laughing tone, as if it had no fear of the outcome of the competition.

The cat replied lightly, "Yes."

The man said, "Master, do you trust me that much?"

The cat said, "How about I choose you as my prey?"

The host's announcement of "Party Time" immediately drew everyone into the game segment!

Two huge spotlights fell from the stage, and two round tables rose in the center of the venue. All the characters left their seats and moved closer to the two round tables.
