Chapter 29 See Your Fate for Yourself

After finding out what happened to the cat last night, Jiu Yebai remained silent for a long time.

He felt guilty, but he still couldn't understand why Maomao had to be with Mujin. Wouldn't it have been better to just go with the old ways, hitting one target and then moving on to another?

Given the situation last night, she didn't even think about her younger brother before running off to find Mu Jin.

Cat couldn't keep anything in her mind. She naturally didn't tell anyone about the car accident that had happened, but she didn't let it bother her either. Maintaining her good mood, she went to the study.

Strangely, the study was unlocked today.

She tilted her head and thought for a moment. It was Jiu Yunchi who picked her up yesterday. The study was very tidy. Even so late, Jiu Yunchi still tidied up the place.

"What a strange little brother," the cat murmured.

The cat was reading a book, and no one knew what Jiu Yebai had been up to. At lunchtime, he came over mysteriously and called the cat downstairs.

"Huh, why are there so many dishes?" the cat asked curiously.

There were so many! They filled a large dining table to the brim, and every dish was exquisitely prepared. At a glance, there were at least fifty or sixty dishes.

Jiu Yebai snorted, "I had someone make these. Try them all. If none of these are to your liking, I'll keep looking for more tomorrow."

These dishes are prepared by more than a dozen professional chefs, including both Western and Chinese cuisine.

Jiu Yebai made a round of phone calls and asked many people. His brothers all thought he was going to get involved in the catering industry.

The cat still looked at him with confusion.

Jiu Yebai finally said, "Don't look at me like that. I'm determined to find you a cook! I feel ashamed just hearing about someone going to another person's house in the middle of the night because they're so hungry."

The cat said, "Why does your face hurt?"

You must have hit it!

Jiu Yebai only said these words to himself.

The cat patted Jiu Yebai's head with practiced ease, saying, "Good little brother."

Jiu Yebai's temper was completely neutralized by those three words.

Cat really did taste all the dishes, but in her opinion, they were all the same, not much different from the original chef of the Jiu family.

"It's alright, there are so many chefs, I refuse to believe we can't find one that suits your taste," Jiu Yebai reassured her.

He used to avoid Jiu Xintian whenever he saw her, but now he goes to great lengths to find her a cook. He seems to have never imagined how he ended up like this.

The cat tilted its head and thought for a moment.

Actually, whether she eats or not has nothing to do with the cook; it's human food that she can't accept.

The contradiction is that if she doesn't eat, her body can't take it.

So she still didn't say anything, but maybe there really is a chef who can solve the problem.

In the afternoon, Maomao was drawing talismans again, drawing all the talismans she could think of. When night fell, she held a stack of papers with satisfaction, a smile creeping into her eyes.

"Mission accomplished!" said the cat.

She found a stapler and did a simple binding.

After thinking about it, I left a note before leaving.

-------------------------------------

the next day.

Both Maomao and Jiuyebai got up very early because today was the last time Maomao would receive acupuncture on her leg, and it was also the day her cast could be removed.

Dr. Ye's movements were as skillful as ever. When he finished the injection, he said, "You are recovering very well, but you should not do any strenuous exercise for the time being."

After seeing Dr. Ye off, Jiu Yebai drove the cat to the hospital.

After the cast was removed, the cat seemed to have forgotten Dr. Ye's instructions and happily danced on the ground, lifting her skirt.

Her giggles were clear and crisp like silver bells, and her ponytail swayed gently with her movements.

Jiu Yebai was originally leaning against the door waiting, but when he turned his head and saw this scene, he stared blankly for a long time.

He was still a little dazed when the cat patted him on the shoulder.

"Silly little brother, hurry up! My legs are free now, I can go wherever I want!" the cat said excitedly.

Jiu Yebai followed behind her, weaving through the crowd; she was like a happy elf.

"This world has truly gone mad," Jiu Yebai said from the bottom of his heart.

It transformed Jiu Xintian, that hopeless good-for-nothing, into a shining gem.

Jiu Yebai suddenly felt an unprecedented sense of panic. Should he do something? Otherwise, he would soon be unworthy of this gem.

"The exit isn't there." Jiu Yebai called out to Maomao in time, because he noticed she was heading towards the inpatient department.

"No, Cat Cat wants to go to the inpatient ward," Cat Cat said.

"Whom do you want to visit?" Jiu Yebai asked, puzzled.

“Sister Jin,” Cat said.

Jiu Yebai thought for a while before he remembered who this person was! Wasn't that Cat's manager?

He only learned all of this after cramming on his knowledge of the entertainment industry a few days ago.

"Why are you looking at her? She's never been nice to you." Jiu Yebai frowned.

He might not know the details, but while Honey Five Points was so overshadowed by the manager's downfall, she's far from being forgotten. She's managing another girl group that just debuted this year and is currently gaining momentum.

This agent is clearly very capable, which can only mean that she gave up on the sweetness of honey.

"Silly little brother."

The cat smiled.

Her smile was so pure that Jiu Yebai couldn't help but worry. Maomao was determined to continue working hard in the entertainment industry. Putting aside the past, who knows how she would be bullied in the future.

Tang Yuan had already posted photos of Sister Jin's hospital room.

As soon as I got closer, I heard groans and moans of pain coming from inside the tightly closed door.
