Chapter 34 He has a language impairment

Cat entered the elevator unhurriedly, while Jiu Yunchi released his hand from the elevator door opening button and then put it into the pocket of his suit pants.

He faced the elevator door, his back like a cedar tree, exuding an aura that made him difficult to approach.

The cat leaned back and sized him up, but the elevator was going too fast and stopped in no time.

Jiu Yunchi led the cat straight to his office. He simply stood at the door and said, "Wait for me here."

Then he turned and left.

Let's go!

Couldn't he say a few more words? The cat needs to see him today! Does this little brother have a speech impediment?

"Jiuyunchi!" the cat called out, its voice echoing through the quiet building.

It wasn't that there was no one on this floor, but rather that everyone was engrossed in their work. Cat Cat was certain that everyone had given a strange shudder.

Cat chased after him and went to the room where Jiu Yunchi had gone. The wooden door was tightly closed, and she couldn't see what was inside. So she pushed the door open and peeked inside.

One glance was enough to draw a lot of attention! Everyone was dressed in suits, young and old, and they were sitting in a huge conference room, where a serious meeting seemed to be taking place.

Jiu Yunchi is now presenting a PowerPoint presentation.

Cat didn't care that people were watching her. She just looked at Jiu Yunchi with some curiosity. It turned out that he didn't have a speech disorder. At least for now, every word he spoke was resounding, his thinking was rigorous, and his speaking speed was unhurried, attracting everyone's attention.

So soon, those people forgot about the cat who was openly eavesdropping at the door.

Cat pouted, left, and returned to Jiu Yunchi's office.

His office... was surprisingly messy.

The table was piled high with folders, and the dozen or so widescreen computers were constantly flashing stock market trading information.

Cat sat in the president's chair, glanced around, and thought to herself, this shouldn't be a mess, but rather, these are all documents that Jiu Yunchi would use at any time, all placed in his usual place.

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

Assistant Lin came in, and while bringing the cat a cup of coffee, he also put down a few folders.

Before he left, the cat said, "I don't want coffee, I want juice."

Assistant Lin replied meticulously, "I'm sorry, Miss Jiu, we only have coffee here."

The cat tilted its head, not blaming him, and simply asked, "Where is the tea room?"

"Please follow me," said Assistant Lin.

The cat followed him out, and once they reached the break room, it said, "Go do your thing, don't worry about me."

Assistant Lin really did leave.

Cat leaned against the door of the tea room and observed from afar. Everyone was busy with their work, and the occasional movement was just to exchange necessary work information.

This surprised the cat.

This was the first time she realized that the world's humans operated in a rapidly developing, modern way, and that these people were completely different from those in the entertainment industry. They didn't need to excessively manage their appearance; they only needed to keep a close eye on the overall situation.

I don't know if it's because of the leader, but these people have a very similar style to the CEO. They are taciturn and their eyes don't wander.

Hmm... this is fine.

I turned around and went into the tea room. There was indeed only coffee there, and many kinds of coffee, such as Blue Mountain, Kona, and Golden Mandheling... There were even several kinds of coffee machines.

However, the cat still found the juicer, but it seemed that almost no one was using it.

She took out some fruit from her spatial storage. These were ordinary fruits, food that the cat had prepared in case she got too hungry. She made apple juice, but there were too many apples, so she filled two glasses with the juice.

Back in the meeting room, Cat glanced at the numbers jumping on the computer screen, but wasn't very interested, and instead started playing on her phone.

Elimination games, these boring games, can be played endlessly without any brainpower. I have no idea how they ended up on my cat's phone.

I don't know how much time has passed.

The office door opened, and Jiu Yunchi and Assistant Lin entered together.

"Follow up on the situation in Munich; we can't afford to make mistakes at a time like this."

"After the market closes tonight, I'll schedule a meeting with Chairman Jiu."

"Take these documents out."

Jiu Yunchi's instructions were concise and powerful, and Assistant Lin's execution seemed extremely strong. In the end, he left with a stack of documents, all within a minute.

Jiu Yunchi stood beside the cat and said, "Get up."

Cat politely stepped aside. Normally, she would have ignored such a commanding tone, but for her brother with speech impairment, she gave in.

Jiu Yunchi sat in his chair, processing a large number of documents.

Then I just stared at those computers.

The cat sat on the sofa not far away, having completed the puzzle game in its hand!

Gold coins rained down on the screen. Cat put down her phone, bored. She looked at Jiu Yunchi and realized that it had been more than an hour and Jiu Yunchi hadn't moved or made a sound.

She got up and walked to his side. There was a glass of apple juice on the table, filled with clear glass. She picked it up, shook it, and handed it to Jiu Yunchi, saying, "Here, have some."

Jiu Yunchi didn't even glance at the glass of juice, and asked, "What is it?"

The cat tilted its head and said, "You drink your juice first."

Jiu Yunchi didn't speak. After two seconds, he explained, as if he was being reluctant, "I never drink."

Does that mean he never drinks juice?

No wonder he has a speech disorder; his younger brother, who should be fine, is like a machine.
