Chapter 4 Everyone Dislikes

Two people arrived. The cat sized them up; one was wearing a simple white dress, and the other a red cropped dress. Both had pretty faces and decent looks...

She soon learned that the girl in the white dress was named Tang Yuan, and the girl in the red dress was named Millie. Both of them were members of the same group as her, and Tang Yuan was the leader.

"Are you satisfied now? You confessed your love at the hospital, it was trending on social media for five minutes, and then it was quickly taken down. But at least it was only for five minutes! Even though it was met with widespread criticism and condemnation online."

Millie suddenly said sarcastically.

Tang Yuan tugged at Millie's arm, "Let's not talk about this anymore, Tian Tian is the victim."

Millie scoffed, "She brought it on herself! She enjoys it, she's not ashamed at all, she's proud of it! Don't you know what kind of person she is? If she's a victim, what about those people she harasses every day? What about us who are dragged into this and cursed like dogs? She only broke a leg, she got off easy!"

Tang Yuan stood awkwardly between the two of them. "Sweetie, don't be angry. That's just how Millie is. She's just saying it. We just came back from Haishi. We didn't even go to the company. We came straight to see you. She still cares about you."

"Don't give me that crap, you're the one who dragged me here!" Millie retorted immediately.

"You should say less."

After they both finished speaking, Cat looked at Millie and said, "You're insulting me too."

I'm insulting you—

Just as Millie was about to speak, Tang Yuan stopped her.

"Come here." The cat beckoned to Millie.

Millie, unsuspecting, took two steps forward with her chest out and head held high.

"Smack!"

The cat slapped Millie's exquisitely made-up face, the crisp sound startling both of them as if they'd lost their souls.

However, immediately afterward, another slap landed on his backhand, "Smack!"

Millie, realizing the stinging pain on both sides of her face, stared at the cat in horror, "How dare you hit me!"

As soon as the cat raised its hand, Tang Yuan reacted extremely quickly this time, pulling Millie away in a flash.

Cat pulled out a tissue and wiped her hands, as if she had slapped Millie's face and gotten something dirty on them. At the same time, she chuckled and looked at Tang Yuan, "Let me answer your first question. Before you came, I did hit someone. I hung him up and whipped him with a belt because he also cursed at me."

Faced with the cat's smile, the two of them shivered simultaneously!

The two looked at each other. In the past, no matter what Jiu Xintian did, she always acted as if she had nothing to lose and was carefree. She was like a high-quality counterfeit designer bag. At first glance, it looked quite real, but in reality, it reeked of cheapness and inferiority from the inside out.

But in that instant, they suddenly felt that the high-quality replica in front of them... had become the real thing!

It feels completely different, inside and out!

“If you’ve come to see me, sit down. If you’ve come to insult me, get out,” Cat said, completely unconcerned about the immense emotional turmoil the two of them had gone through.

Millie covered her face, her mind still blank.

Tang Yuan wanted to say something, but the atmosphere was too...

Just then, with a "click," the door opened.

Jiu Yebai walked in, his tall figure stopping directly in front of Maomao. He took the items out of the shopping bag and said, "I've already put the SIM card in for you. There aren't any decent shopping malls nearby, so you'll have to make do with these clothes for now."

After saying that, Jiu Yebai took back his phone, put both hands in his pockets, and hung his head in annoyance. "Is there anything else? If not, I'm leaving."

The cat fiddled with its new phone for a moment, then said, "You can't leave. Go and process my discharge paperwork. I want to be discharged."

Jiu Yebai endured the pain, which reminded him not to provoke Jiu Xintian, whose fighting power had suddenly exploded. He glanced at her legs and said, "Your legs are still not up to par."

The cat's soft, sweet voice seemed to carry a hint of willfulness: "If I say it's okay, then it's okay."

"Then why are you dragging me along?" Jiu Yebai asked, feeling frustrated.

The cat simply looked up at him and said, "Because I'm your older sister."

"..." This matter-of-fact tone left Jiu Yebai speechless. Staring into those bright, watery eyes, for the first time in five years, he felt that the person in front of him was his sister.

After running his fingers through his hair, Jiu Yebai sat down with a flourish, staring directly at the cat. "You really want to be discharged, right?"

"How could it be fake?" Cat looked down at her phone and typed a few words into the search bar—hot air balloon confession.

"Aren't you afraid that your leg will become damaged and you won't be able to dance anymore?" Jiu Yebai said. He didn't know Jiu Xintian well, but he knew one thing: Jiu Xintian cherished her body very much, and she would avoid anything that might harm her singing and dancing.

Jiu Yebai said this because he wanted her to stay in the hospital with peace of mind. If she went back to the Jiu family, who knows what trouble she might cause him.

But... what he didn't know at all was that Jiu Xintian's core was now a cat!

so……

"You're so annoying! Like an old man, Jiu Yebai, you're so long-winded. I already said I want to be discharged." Maomao frowned as her phone screen was filled with insults directed at her, which instantly made her feel bad. She wanted to find them all and beat them up.

"..." This was the first time Jiu Yebai had been spoken to like this. He was always the one who looked down on others. When had he ever been looked down on?

Ironically, after the beating he received earlier, he actually thought Jiu Xintian was just being affectionate? Did he develop Stockholm syndrome from just one beating?

"You're good." After a while, Jiu Yebai stood up abruptly.

"Hiss..." He got up too suddenly, tearing at several of the whip marks. Jiu Yebai walked away with a strange expression.
