"Get away from me."
The maid lowered her head even further and became even more cautious. "Miss, the master has given instructions. Just tell us what you want to do. Please take good care of yourself."
"Is this what Song Sifan ordered? If I told you to die, would you rather die?"
The maid was so frightened that she immediately knelt on the ground, pressed her hands to the ground, and bowed her head deeply, pleading, "Miss, spare my life."
Cat was getting impatient. Song Sifan didn't know how she trained the servants to be so obedient. If she pushed her any further, Cat might really die.
"Tell me, where is this place?"
The maid immediately replied, "It's from the master's house."
"Where in Beijing is it located?"
"To be honest, Miss, I have a bad sense of direction and don't know where I am."
"You get out of here too. Don't stand guard at my door. If you don't leave, you'll die right now."
Screw your bad sense of direction.
The maid immediately stood up, bending backward as she said, "There's a bell by the bed in Miss's room. Just press it and we'll be there right away."
Cat looked at the long corridor, and even though she wanted to go down and take a look, she was too tired to walk any further.
Back in the room, the cat carefully observed the room and only felt slightly relieved after confirming that there were no surveillance cameras or anything like that.
She picked a fairy peach from the space of life and ate it quickly.
But she was still hungry.
Oh no, she really wants to eat people.
She hadn't been this disheveled in a long time; it must be because of this injury that she couldn't control her true nature.
She rolled around in bed feeling unwell, but a sharp pain in her shoulder brought her back to her senses a little.
Remembering her injuries, the cat immediately lifted the gauze to take a look. There were three hideous marks there, as if they had been scratched by a wild animal. The wounds had been stitched up and looked very ugly.
Cat took out her ointment and applied it, thinking that she must take good care of the wound and not leave a scar.
Then she lay on the bed and took out the syringe. She had thrown the syringe into the life space before she lost consciousness that day... After carefully recalling Zeng Bo, Maomao's brows gradually furrowed.
Zeng Bo looked very strange that day. She knew he wasn't human, but he wasn't a wild beast either. So... the most likely explanation was that he had transformed into a beast!
While this may sound like science fiction, the fact that it doesn't exist in the general world doesn't mean it does.
Moreover, she did see scales appear on Zeng Bo's body that day.
After an unknown amount of time, Song Sifan returned.
The cat immediately threw the syringe back into the life space.
When he came in, two maids followed him. They put a table next to the cat's bed, and then Song Sifan set out the groceries he had bought.
"Let me help you up."
"No need," the cat said. "You're too slow. I'm not ready to eat anymore."
Song Sifan looked at the cat, "Are you teasing me?"
The cat nodded slightly and said matter-of-factly, "Yes."
Song Sifan held chopsticks in his hand. He looked at the cat for a while, then moved a chair over and sat down. Then... he ate by himself. "I won't be angry. I know you love to play, and I want to make you happy. So, even if I guessed you wouldn't eat it after I bought it, I still went."
Song Sifan also eats with great refinement. She always finishes a bite of food before picking up another.
"It just so happens that I didn't eat lunch either."
He really did start eating slowly and deliberately. He ate quietly and didn't speak again.
The cat lay there with its eyes closed for a while before finally asking, "Song Sifan, why did you lock me up here?"
Song Sifan put down his chopsticks, wiped his mouth with a handkerchief, and said, "I told you, I didn't shut you up. I let you stay here to recover from your injuries."
"Stop talking nonsense, Song Sifan. Don't test my patience."
Song Sifan seemed to ponder for a moment, then finally sighed, "Alright, then I'll compromise."
“As I said, I have had the best doctors diagnose you, but your current condition is still worrying. I have taken a blood sample and had my lab scientists test it. It will take some time, and there are no results yet.”
The cat immediately opened its eyes and looked at Song Sifan.
Song Sifan's laboratory was inherited from his grandfather and father. The old man of the Song family was engaged in biological research. If it were to treat ordinary people, it would be too much of a fuss to ask researchers to test their blood!
"The doctor you hired couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, which means he's incompetent. Who told you to draw my blood?"
Song Sifan smiled gently, "To be honest, I asked you when I drew your blood, and you didn't say anything, so I took that as a yes."
The cat raised its paw and swept all the food off the table!
Song Sifan stood up instantly. Although he dodged quickly, the soup still splashed onto his clean clothes. He looked at the cat; she was expressionless, but her eyes were gloomy.
Song Sifan looked down at the mess on the ground.
"What are you doing? You've made such a mess, the smell in the house won't go away anytime soon."
"I'm going to change my clothes."
After Song Sifan left, Maomao became even more annoyed. Why wasn't he angry? This only made her more unhappy.
After a while, Song Sifan returned. He went straight to the bedside and picked up the cat!
"Song Sifan, what are you doing?" the cat struggled.
As Song Sifan walked out, she said, "Don't move around too much. Your body can't handle this. This room is too dirty. I'll take you to another one."
"Put me down," Cat said, as a dagger suddenly appeared in her hand and was pressed against Song Sifan's neck.
