"Hey, you've been having a lot of romantic entanglements lately? It's been the school beauty from back then, and now it's some obscure celebrity. Your natural high-pressure aura isn't working at all." In the car, Gu Ze glanced to the side with a teasing look on his face.
"When have I ever lacked suitors?" Mu Jin stretched out her legs arrogantly and sat down, then looked down and opened the game interface.
Stray hairs fell in front of her eyes, their subtle shadows blurring a face that stirred the imagination.
"Damn it." Gu Ze laughed and cursed. "I shouldn't have brought this up."
"However, just because you said you liked flying fighter jets back then, the school beauty immediately went to Bayer. Now that she's returned after completing her studies, you're using me as a shield and completely swindling her," Gu Zeyi added.
Mu Jin adjusted her posture, crossed one leg like a lord, and said in a nonchalant tone, "She can drive in front of me?"
"You're just stirring up trouble." Gu Zeyi was convinced.
Suddenly he chuckled again, "I couldn't see any fighter jets, but someone flew a hot air balloon for you! You were just holding me so tightly, so warm and soft, it was quite a sight. I guess my trip wasn't in vain. The little girl was crying, it broke my heart..."
"Stop the car." The hoarse voice crackled with icy coldness. "Leave the car here, and you can still get back to the hospital now."
"Don't mind, you're unusually irritable today. I haven't forgotten, I'm here to be your driver." Gu Zeyi laughed nonchalantly.
Mu Jin scoffed, "I didn't ask you to drive such a flashy car. Besides, this isn't the way to my residence."
Gu Ze touched his nose, finally feeling a little guilty. "As expected of Second Master, you can still get distracted while playing games. This wasn't my idea. Your eldest brother called me and asked me to send you back. That's his order. How could I disobey?"
Mu Jin finally lifted her eyelids, revealing her dark pupils, which sent chills down one's spine. "You think I can't handle you?"
Gu Zeyi inwardly groaned, but outwardly complained, "I can't afford to offend either of you, okay? You two are both my ancestors. I'll be in trouble if I offend either of you. Why did the Mu family have to have two sons? Why did they have to have both Zhou Yu and Zhuge Liang? I'm Lu Su, and I deserve to be the grandson between you two."
"Playing the victim won't work. Turn around up ahead," Mu Jin said in a flat tone.
Gu Zeyi tried to persuade him, "It's the old lady's 80th birthday, it's a big event, you can just show your face and leave."
Mu Jin slammed her phone down, turned to look at Gu Zeyi, and an invisible pressure surged towards him. The same nonchalant attitude still made Gu Zeyi feel extremely uncomfortable.
Gu Zeyi persevered for a while, but when the car reached the turn, he gritted his teeth and jerked the steering wheel, but couldn't hold on...
Even if the eldest brother of the Mu family wanted to skin him alive, that would be in the future. If he didn't turn back now, he would be finished immediately.
"Alright, let's go to your place. I'll also call the rest of us over. The documents have come down, and there's actually been some progress on that matter." Gu Ze drove onto the outer ring road and sped up.
Seeing that Mu Jin remained silent, Gu Ze glanced at him and said, "Jin Er, this might not be a smokescreen. You might actually be interested."
That's just how this guy is; when he's flattering someone, he's called "Second Master," otherwise he's called "Jin Er."
"The document." Mu Jin held out her hand.
"It's right next to you, feel it yourself." Gu Zeyi said, then suddenly added, "I remember that little starlet's name was... Jiu Xintian?"
"What are you talking about?" Mu Jin had already found a brown paper bag and was looking at the thick stack of documents.
Gu Ze frowned. "I didn't make this up. Just wait and see, this matter has something to do with the Jiu family..."

After returning to the Jiu family villa, the cat locked herself in her room.
Jiu Yebai stood at her door for a long time until the wound on his back tore open, and he realized that he was actually worried about Jiu Xintian, a girl he looked down on and who had beaten him up just a few hours ago.
The world isn't crazy, he is!
He went back to his room looking unwell.
The cat sat in front of the dressing table, her shoulders drooping, lost in thought for a long time, while the black cat quietly lay down at her feet.
After a long while, the cat turned its eyes and looked at the black cat at its feet. "I saw Ah Jin, and you saw her too, right?"
"Meow~" The black cat stirred slightly.
“But this time, I can’t be impulsive. I don’t want to wait so many years again…” Her voice was a little lonely, but it quickly became lively again. “Ah Jin still smells so good! It’s making me hungry.”
She touched her belly, then suddenly hopped out the door on one leg.
Jiu Yebai's room was right next to hers, so she simply pushed the door open.
Jiu Yebai, with most of his body naked, was applying medicine to his back in a very contorted position when he heard the sound and jumped up instantly.
"Don't you know how to knock?" Jiu Yebai roared, unable to contain himself any longer.
"I don't like your catchphrase," the cat warned first, then bent down to pick up the medicine bottle that had fallen to the ground and asked him, "What are you going to do with this?"
She never seemed to take his words seriously! Jiu Yebai was incredibly frustrated to find that his punches had landed on nothing again. "Are you blind? Medicine!"
The cat's eyes swept over him. "Applying this won't help. I didn't even bleed when I hit you. You'll be fine after a couple of days of pain."
Jiu Yebai glared at the cat, his phoenix eyes almost bloodshot, "How dare you say that!"
It really infuriated him. He originally thought he might have been beaten up badly, covered in blood, but when he took off his clothes and looked in the mirror, he found that he was completely naked, without even a bruise. Yet, he was in pain all over his body!
It's a ghost!
