Xiao narrowed his eyes. He had personally come out to pick up the person, yet he had been defeated by a lion!
Shen Yue hadn't expected such a dramatic turn of events, but she was quick-witted and said, "Mr. Xiao, thank you so much for coming out. Otherwise, I really wouldn't know what to do. Shall we go in too?"
The steps were offered to him, so Xiao naturally followed them down.
“Chen Yue, your new partner is quite interesting.”
Shen Yue nodded. "Mr. Xiao, she is Mu Jin's girlfriend."
"Mu Jin? Not bad. Although he is a playboy, Mu Ye is the wealthiest person in your country... He can be of use."
Shen Yue smiled and said, "The Dawn Alliance is the greatest business alliance in the world. I will do my best for the future of the alliance."
Xiao looked at Shen Yue with satisfaction. "I admire ambitious women like you. Well then, you'd better take good care of your new partner."
Shen Yue: "I will."
Cat stood in the center of the venue, waiting for Shen Yue. She watched as Xiao left Shen Yue and went into a private room with several men in suits.
This is a leisure venue, but it's not limited to just one type of leisure. Instead, it offers a wide variety of leisure activities, with several themed areas and many private rooms, making it a gathering place for all sorts of big shots.
Shen Yue approached the cat and asked, "Cat, how do you feel about here?"
The cat smiled and said sincerely, "Not bad."
Shen Yue explained to Maomao, "See that gambling table? It doesn't limit the type of gambling; the customers 'order' what they want. There are no chips because each round starts at ten million. Once you're at the table, your personal account is linked, and regardless of winning or losing, the money goes directly into and out of your account."
The cat's eyes lit up, "The dealer doesn't pump water?"
Shen Yue laughed, "This isn't a casino, it's just a leisure place. There's no dealer here."
No middlemen taking a cut, that's fantastic!
Making a profit from the price difference is just a small business. What's truly impressive about this place is that it can gather big shots from all over the world. Establishing long-term cooperative relationships is the real intention of the boss behind the scenes.
"If you want to strike up a conversation with these people quickly, the best way is to play some games," Shen Yue said.
Cat looked at Shen Yue. She actually called this a "mini-game"?
A game with ten million in stakes, you sit there and can easily go on for more than ten rounds without realizing it. Losing hundreds of millions in the blink of an eye, can you call that a small game?
So, the cat said, "I'm afraid of losing everything."
Shen Yue replied, "If you want to play, I'll play with you. If you keep losing, I'll pull you down. Don't worry, in a place like this, playing anything is entirely voluntary."
She's lying to her.
The cat knows.
But what's good about her is... "Chen Yue, you seem very familiar with this place. Do you come here often? Have you ever been to that gambling table? Have you ever lost?"
Shen Yue: "I've only been here a few times and gambled before. We're all at an average level. If we were gambling kings, we wouldn't be here to make money. After all, if you make too much, you'll offend people. I've won and I've lost."
What she said was quite reasonable.
"It's understandable that you're hesitant to gamble since this is your first time here. Let's not gamble, and I'll take you to see something else."
With that, Shen Yue pulled the cat away.
Cat looked back at the gambling table and frowned. She was just being polite, so why did Shen Yue give up?
The cat seemed to see a lot of money slipping away from it.
Shen Yue pulled the cat into a private room.
Although it's called a private room, it's actually a completely different world inside.
The long floor-to-ceiling windows offered a view of complete darkness outside. Only through the clouds could one vaguely see patches of lights in the city of Bayer.
The long, narrow room stretched into the distance.
The lighting here is a bit dim, and all the aisles are separated by wine cabinets, which display fine wines that are free.
Because everyone who comes here is a member.
Shen Yue: "This is a lounge. As long as you can drink or chat, you can strike up a conversation with anyone without spending any money."
The cat understands.
It turned out that Shen Yue had found her a way to invest with low costs and high returns.
But actually, the cat still wants to play the paid features...
Shen Yue gently patted the cat's shoulder, "Cat, you play by yourself, I'm going to wander around too."
Since the girl wanted to walk around, the cat couldn't stop her, so the cat nodded and said, "Okay."
Shen Yue left, she went far away, but still maintained a distance from which she could observe the cat.
Cat walked up to the wine cabinet, looked around but couldn't choose, so she just grabbed a bottle at random.
She sat down by the window, poured herself a glass of wine, and then slowly observed the people around her.
The lighting here is poor, probably to create a better atmosphere; it's easier to talk things out in a darker environment.
However, it wasn't dark at all for the cat... She could even easily see the patterns on a woman's clothes far away.
The cat saw many people striking up conversations with each other, but what puzzled it was that they would pass notes to each other as soon as they met. What was the meaning of this?
The cat looked down and saw a simple notepad and a pen in the standard crystal box on the table.
Just then, someone sat down opposite her.
He wore a sharp, handcrafted suit, exuding an air of nobility. With his brown hair and melancholic, deep green eyes, he unabashedly radiated charm as he gazed affectionately at the cat.
Then, he took a note from the crystal box and handed it to the cat.
The cat caught it and looked at the person opposite her—Xi Yuan.
