Despite saying that, Xiyuan didn't seem worried at all.
He watched as the cat linked her personal account, then said, "Cat, do you need me to help you cheat?"
"Get lost," the cat said. "Can't I do it myself?"
Xi Yuan immediately smiled, already looking forward to it. "So, if you win money, will you treat me to dinner?"
"Are you short of that meal?"
Xiyuan was speechless; to say anything more would be tantamount to self-torture.
With each round costing ten million, Cat easily won two rounds. At this point, the others hadn't realized the seriousness of the situation. It wasn't until Cat won five rounds in a row that her opponent frowned slightly and left the gambling table.
Another person took his place and continued playing; however, after five rounds, he also left because he had already lost fifty million.
Although the losses were small, it was frustrating that the opponent kept winning.
The third person sat down confidently and lost ten rounds in a row without even blinking. However, he paused for a moment and looked at the cat: "You're lucky. What's your name?"
"If you want to play, then continue. If you don't want to play, then move aside. I'm not here to make friends."
Cat's words seemed to offend many people instantly, especially the two who had just lost money.
If you don't make friends here, do you think this is a casino? In a place like this, the most taboo thing is someone who's stingy.
The man opposite her chuckled. "Miss, your idea is quite novel; it's the first time I've heard it. I can't beat you, but this kind of little game is just for passing the time. I wonder if you'd be interested in playing something else?"
The cat raised an eyebrow: "For example?"
The man said, "For example, betting everything you have."
Those around him looked at the man with interest upon hearing this, but he seemed unwilling to reveal the truth.
The cat looked at him with a knowing gaze, "How much is all you have in total?"
The man laughed, seemingly at the cat's confidence, because her words implied that she was certain she could win all of her wealth.
However, the man still replied, "At least, it's enough for you to play at this gambling table non-stop for three days and three nights."
Cat stood up decisively and disconnected the account from the gambling table. "I'm very interested."
The people around them looked at the two of them strangely. They could vaguely hear that none of them recognized the cat or the man, and they didn't know where these big shots came from or what they were doing so mysteriously.
The man led the way in a gentlemanly manner.
"Xiyuan, do you know him?" the cat asked softly.
Xi Yuan shook her head. "I don't know him."
"How can you be so useless?"
Xi Yuan was speechless. "I've only been here for a short time. How could I possibly recognize them all at once? Can you please stop picking on my weaknesses?"
They left the bustling area and went to the private rooms, where only guests and waiters occasionally passed by.
The man led them into the innermost private room. After the door opened, he stood in the doorway and said, "Please, gentlemen."
Before going in, the cat carefully examined the man. He had an Asian face and was very tall. He wasn't the type to be considered a beauty at first glance, but he had a good temperament, and he was calm and reserved.
They had been speaking Y language, but at this moment, the cat asked again in Mandarin: "Are you Chinese?"
The man understood, and replied in Mandarin, "Miss, to be precise, I am of Chinese descent."
Cat nodded. She found that the Chinese were very advanced in their thinking. At least so far, the opponents she had encountered were coincidentally all Chinese or of Chinese descent.
Upon entering, the private room was surprisingly spacious, resembling a palace.
Putting everything else aside, the first thing the cat saw was the majestic lion lying there, with the black cat perched on its head.
Then, the cat looked at the person directly in front of it. He was sitting in a golden chair with a two-meter-high back, which looked very impressive.
He was dressed in luxurious local clothing and wore a headscarf.
Meow~
The black cat meowed, and seeing its owner arrive, it jumped down from the lion's head and ran towards the cat.
The cat caught the black cat, and the lion stood up and paced back and forth hesitantly. It looked at the black cat as if it had fallen out of favor, and was very puzzled.
At this moment, the man on the golden chair spoke, "Jiu Maomao, is this your pet?"
Cat raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised that this person had called her name so naturally.
The cat nodded. "It's my cat, so you are the esteemed king?"
The majestic lion lay at his feet; clearly, he was the esteemed king of the Emirate of Bayer.
The man nodded. He was nearly sixty years old, and his words were firm and authoritative, carrying the seriousness of someone in a position of authority. He didn't seem to be joking at all.
He got straight to the point: "I have a request for you. If you complete it, I can give you anything you want, as long as I have it."
Money, power, territory, people—take your pick. But if you fail, you get nothing, possibly including your life.
Cat glanced at the man who had brought her in. She wasn't in a hurry, nor was she curious about the king's direct opening remarks. She simply asked:
"Let me ask you first, who is he?"
The king looked at the man. "Mr. Law, you should introduce yourself."
The man smiled. "Yes, I haven't had a chance to introduce myself yet. Jiu Maomao, perhaps we should get to know each other. After all, you have a close relationship with Pluto."
