Chapter 690 I Want to Hide You

Pei Wu asked doubtfully, "This can't be, can it? It's your movie, after all. Why are you being so aggrieved?"

The director retorted, "The point is, this movie isn't mine either..."

Pei Wu narrowed his eyes: "What did you just say?"

The director suddenly sobered up, realizing he had said something he shouldn't have, and quickly laughed it off, "Nothing, nothing, I didn't say anything, I was just drunk and talking nonsense..."

Pei Wu wasn't so easily fooled. He just said that if the movie wasn't his, then whose was it?

Why is Song Sifan so good to Jiu Maomao? The money he spends on her seems to go unnoticed.

Song Sifan is the kind of person who appears kind on the surface but is actually ruthless in his actions. When has he ever been so patient with someone?

Moreover, Jiu Maomao is already with Mu Jin.

With so many people protecting him, he really couldn't bring himself to harm Jiu Maomao...

The cat didn't bother to clean the oil stains on its clothes; instead, it went straight downstairs and prepared to leave.

She didn't want to see Pei Wu, nor did she want to see Ai Fenfen, so she simply went back.

She looked into the distance and saw an inconspicuous black sedan, and sure enough, she found Gu Xiaoliu sitting inside.

Gu Xiaoliu had been keeping a close eye on Pei Wu's movements, but after more than two months, he had gained nothing and was almost driven to despair.

She got into her car and had just fastened her seatbelt when someone suddenly walked over and gently knocked on the window.

Cat lowered the car window and looked at the person outside, Song Sifan.

His suit was impeccably tailored, and despite his hasty arrival, his voice remained steady, "You're leaving already?"

Cat nodded, "Yeah...did you know the crew had a get-together today?"

Song Sifan: "Well, the filming has wrapped up, so of course I had to come and see. But it's a bit of a coincidence, would you like to come down and sit for a while?"

"No," the cat refused outright. "There are annoying people inside."

Song Sifan looked at the cat and actually smiled.

Her words sounded like an explanation: it's rare that the person she dislikes today isn't him.

"Congratulations on wrapping up filming. This will be a great movie," Song Sifan said.

The cat expressed doubt: "It's good to be optimistic, after all, you're the one who paid for it, so you should always think positively."

Song Sifan invested too much money in this movie, and it's uncertain whether he can recoup the costs. The actors' appeal is only a small part; the most crucial factor is the script.

Although the cat has finished filming the movie, it has no confidence in it.

"I'll take it as you trying to comfort me."

"Is there anything else?" the cat asked.

Song Sifan: "It's alright now."

The cat immediately drove away.

Song Sifan also turned and left, got into his car, and didn't even go into the restaurant.

He came specifically to see the cats, and now that everyone else has left, he has no interest in the party or anything like that.

After Song Sifan left, Gu Xiaoliu took a bite of bread and tossed her phone aside.

What? He almost called out to Mu Jin.

Is Song Sifan out of his mind? He came and said a couple of words to the cat and then left?

-------------------------------------

The cat went to find Mu Jin.

She drove up the mountain, knowing the way like the back of her hand.

She parked the car on the side of the road, in the pitch black, and jumped out, walking into the mountains covered with rocks and weeds.

She tossed out a wooden origami crane to lead the way.

This is a little gadget made by Mu Jin. It doesn't need much spiritual energy; it can find people by following their scent.

After a while, the cat found Mu Jin, who was digging up a spiritual herb.

The cat trotted over and squatted down in front of him, "Ah Jin."

Mu Jin looked at her. "Why are you back so soon?"

When he arrived, the cat even called him and vowed that she would wait until the party was over before coming back, to prove that her patience was getting better and better.

But it's only ten o'clock at most now, which seems very early.

Cat pouted, "Pei Wu went too, I don't want to see him."

Mu Jin understood.

"Your new movie has wrapped filming, how do you plan to celebrate?"

The cat immediately laughed, "Ah Jin, are you going to celebrate for me?"

Mu Jin nodded. "Your party was interrupted, but I can make it up to you."

The cat went to the party without any complicated purpose. She just wanted to spend time with ordinary people. She felt that the old man called the Crane Hermit Venerable made some sense. She needed to learn to be a human being so that she could handle things in a human way.

She became very patient.

However, she encountered Pei Wu along the way and couldn't resist. She was afraid that if she stayed any longer, she would do something even more outrageous and scare others.

Upon seeing Mu Jin, the cat's mood immediately brightened.

"Ah Jin, you go about your business." Cat suddenly stood up.

Mu Jin looked at the cat and saw that she had taken out a tent and a low table on a flat surface, spread a picnic blanket on the ground, and lit many red candles one by one.

Take out two bottles of wine...

"What are you going to do?" Mu Jin had a slight headache. This cat's speed was simply extraordinary, always catching him off guard.

Cat laughed: "Didn't we say we were going to celebrate? Look how great the atmosphere is! Or, I'll go down the mountain and buy some steaks."

She was a little annoyed; why hadn't she thought of that sooner?

Mu Jin: "You should just order takeout."

So he didn't understand why he agreed to the cat's absurd idea, lighting a candle... and having a midnight snack in this desolate place.
