3 a.m.
Jiu Yebai rushed out of the rose-colored bar and ran for his life.
He hailed a taxi and returned to the Golden Tower Hotel, heading straight for the bathroom.
He stood under the shower, his skin reddened from the scalding water, but he remained motionless, as if he couldn't feel the heat.
After a long while, as if he had come to his senses, he clenched his fists, his arm veins bulging, his whole body tense, like an enraged lion.
Suddenly, he kicked the toilet seat, instantly destroying the lid.
However, still not satisfied, Jiu Yebai grabbed bottles and jars and smashed them around the bathroom. His gaze suddenly fell on the mirror. The mirror was foggy, but you could still see the red marks on his chest and arms from his fingernails.
Jiu Yebai paused, then slammed his fist into the mirror!
Spiderwebs appeared on the mirror's surface, and Jiu Yebai, panting heavily, still harbored a burning anger.
He, Jiu Yebai, was actually raped by a woman!
Utter disgrace!
After turning off the water, Jiu Yebai grabbed a towel, roughly dried himself off, and went outside.
He grabbed the clothes he had thrown on the bed, and a check suddenly fell out of his pocket.
He picked it up, and his anger, which had just subsided a little, exploded again!
He tore the check to shreds, remembering what the woman had said to him while she was lying on the bed.
"I will take responsibility for you."
You'll never take responsibility!
What's the deal with this check? Is it being sold?!
Jiu Yebai slumped into bed, covered his head, and tossed and turned all night, but he couldn't sleep at all. His mind kept turning over and over, thinking about how to get revenge on Yun Que.
-------------------------------------
The cat woke up very early.
He lay on Mu Jin's chest, looking at him listlessly.
"Ah Jin, if you let me keep eating, I won't eat the little devil anymore," the cat whispered.
"Hmm." Mu Jin actually responded, but he didn't open his eyes.
"whee."
After a while, the cat got up by itself and put on its clothes.
Mu Jin opened her eyes.
"Ah Jin, if you want to sleep in, then keep sleeping," the cat said.
She doesn't have the habit of sleeping in late, but Ah Jin is a person who enjoys life. Even if he doesn't sleep, he's happy to spend time in bed.
Mu Jin lifted the blanket and stepped off the bed with her long legs.
"I'm not going to sleep anymore, the lark is coming soon."
The cat couldn't help but ask, "Has she found any clues yet?"
"It should be, otherwise she wouldn't have shown up."
Qihe Breakfast is not open, only in the evening and at noon, so they ate breakfast at other restaurants.
Cat saw Jiu Zhongsheng and Ziying, but not Jiu Yebai, which was a bit strange. Jiu Yebai had stopped sleeping in a long time ago and was training at home every day, getting up earlier than anyone else.
It's already nine o'clock, and we still haven't seen anyone.
A moment later, a woman walked over.
She wore a black halter-neck dress, was tall and slender, with short hair that reached her ears. She looked both heroic and aloof, but her eyes were indifferent and her expression was monotonous.
She went straight up to Mu Jin and the cat.
"Boss, boss's wife."
This was considered a prior notice. Yun Que then added, "Most of the museum's collection has been transported to the Flying Scorpion mercenary base, with only a small number sold on the black market to mislead you."
"Is the information accurate?" Mu Jin asked.
Lark: "That's accurate. I went to the ship yesterday and saw both containers with my own eyes."
Mu Jin tapped her fingers lightly on the table. The Flying Scorpion mercenaries had actually set their sights on Old Master Jiu's museum...
"You've overreached." Mu Jin's eyes turned slightly cold.
Lark asked, "Should we arrange an attack on the Flying Scorpion next?"
The Flying Scorpion mercenaries' base was impenetrable. The museum's items, packed into two containers, couldn't possibly be moved out quietly; a direct confrontation was the only option.
They always avoid such direct attacks, but if it's the boss's wife's business, the boss will definitely go to any lengths to help.
The lark is waiting for orders.
Cat looked at Lark, who was clearly a girl. Why was Ah Jin using such an uncertain tone?
"Kitty," Mu Jin suddenly called out.
The cat looked at him. "Hmm? What's wrong?"
Mu Jin was a little exasperated. Why was she daydreaming? "The museum's items have been found, aren't you worried about that?"
The cat nodded, "Of course I care! Now that we've found it, let's go get it!"
Yun Que couldn't help but look at Maomao, "Boss lady, Flying Scorpions are more difficult to deal with than the ragtag army of armed groups."
She seemed to be reminding the cat that it wasn't a place it could just go to.
"Oh." The cat nodded, saying indifferently, "Pretty much."
lark:"……"
"Don't call me 'boss lady,' I don't like that title."
Lark: "Then what should I be called?"
"Call her Second Sister-in-law."
Lark: "Second Sister-in-law."
She acted as if she didn't think at all.
Although she was two years older than the boss, and shouldn't call the boss's wife "Second Sister-in-law," she felt that a title wasn't important.
The cat is comfortable now.
Mu Jin took the phone and went outside, making a call to someone.
The lark hadn't received any orders yet, so it stood there waiting.
Suddenly, the cat stretched out its paw and attacked the lark's... chest.
Lark instinctively grabbed Cat's wrist; she was very strong, like an iron clamp, but she couldn't stop Cat, who still reached her destination.
She even pinched it, exclaiming, "It's real!"
