at night.
The cat took a nap, but when she thought back to the car she saw on her way back, she still couldn't shake the feeling of unease.
Suddenly, she jumped out of bed, quickly changed her clothes, and then called Joseph.
That guy gave me his phone number, which I didn't save, but my memory is so good that I remembered it even though I didn't save it. I never expected to use it.
"Wow! Kitty, it's so late, and you actually remembered me!" Joseph exclaimed dramatically.
Heavy metal rock music was blaring from the receiver, pounding against the cat's eardrums.
She held her phone further away and said, "Take me for a drive!"
“Okay! Wait for me!” Joseph said with delight, agreeing instantly.
Cat couldn't wait any longer and went downstairs first. After waiting at the door for a while, a sports car suddenly stopped in front of her. The car door opened, and Joseph appeared in front of Cat in a cool shirt and shorts.
"Cat, look! I drove an even better car for the ride!" Joseph wanted to give the cat a warm hug.
But the cat patted him on the chest and pushed him away, saying, "Cats don't have such manners."
Joseph said in distress, “Don’t you have a saying, ‘When in Rome, do as the Romans do’? Why don’t you do it?”
The cat didn't answer, got in the car, sat down, and fastened its seatbelt.
The sports car had excellent performance; it shot off as soon as you stepped on the gas. If the streets allowed it, they could have gone even faster.
Before Joseph could speak, Cat first gave a license plate number, "This kind of license plate number has one less digit than a normal license plate number, so it should be easy to find, right?"
Upon hearing this, Joseph, with an air of expertise, said, "Yes! This is a license plate specifically for classic cars, and judging from the number, this car is extremely rare."
The cat then asked, "Can you find out its owner and where it is now?"
Joseph said, "It depends on who makes the request. If it's a cat, of course I can! I'm capable of anything!"
With that, Joseph, quick to act, made three or four phone calls in a row, then put down his phone. "OK, what we need now is a short wait."
Sure enough, his phone rang not long after.
After he finished the call, he asked, "Kitty, so, where are we going next?"
The cat nodded, "Yes!"
Joseph looked heartbroken. "I really thought you wanted to go on a date with me, to go for a romantic drive on the beach! Turns out you just needed a driver."
Looking out the car window, the cat saw that they had left the city and were now on the seaside road.
“Hehe, aren’t we going for a drive now?” the cat said.
Joseph's enthusiasm was reignited. He took out a pair of sunglasses and handed them to the cat. "Yes, put these on. We can still go for a drive!"
He opened the sports car's roof, and there was rock music playing.
The cat asked, "Did you sing this?"
Joseph nodded frantically, "Yes! Isn't it great!"
The cat nodded.
Joseph said, "My dream is to become a rock star!"
The cat said, "I want to be a superstar too!"
Joseph said, "I want to sell my castle and sing in every corner of the world!"
The cat said, "Sell it to me! I want to keep Ah Jin there!"
"I'll give it to you!"
"Hahaha……"
The sports car sped along the coast and finally stopped at a dock.
Many boats, large and small, are moored here, all brightly lit.
Joseph said, "You'd better take my arm before you go in."
Without hesitation, Cat took Joseph's arm and glanced at every hidden corner of the cabin. There were muscular bodyguards in black everywhere on all three levels.
"It smells awful here, it doesn't feel like a good place," the cat said.
Joseph laughed and said, "That's right, this isn't a place for a good girl like Kitty."
The cat smiled, her eyes crinkling, "I'm not a good girl."
Joseph said, “Okay, bad girl, let’s go find your boy.”
The cat asked, "How did you know I was looking for my boy?"
Joseph said, “Oh, I’m sad again. It’s just a boy’s instinct. You’re standing next to me, but you’re thinking about another man. I have to send you to him.”
The cat said, "You're so funny!"
As they were talking, the two had already entered the cabin. The reason for this smooth progress seemed to be due to Joseph's identity and the large sums of money he threw out.
"This is an underground auction house. Auctions of all sizes are held every day, selling all sorts of things. What interesting things will they have today? There are so many people."
Joseph explained it to the cat briefly. It seems that besides playing rock and roll, he also knows a bit about unorthodox things.
Cat didn't care what was being auctioned; she only cared whether Ah Jin was here.
So she opened her eyes wide and searched the dimly lit cabin.
"Huh?"
"Huh?"
Cat and Joseph both asked in surprise, and then they both headed in the same direction!
Quietly sitting in the row behind her target seat, the cat patted the person in front of her, "Ye Mingshi! Sister Tan!"
Ye Mingshi turned around instantly, and when he saw the cat, he exaggeratedly rubbed his eyes, "Holy crap, am I seeing things? Cat, what are you doing here?!"
Tan Zheng also turned around, his beautiful brows furrowed tightly. This was the first time he had shown a facial reaction since he began to adopt non-violent non-cooperation with the cat.
He was clearly very surprised too!
“Ring!” And over there, Joseph saw a familiar face – Nan Jue!
