Chapter 750 Reunion

Mu Xi had a dream.

She dreamt of the Mu family's old house. She ran home with her schoolbag on her back and, sure enough, saw Mu Jin, who had already skipped class and returned home. She couldn't help but complain.

"Second brother, why are you back early again? I've been waiting for you at the school gate for a long time!"

Mu Jin was playing with a small carving knife in his hand. He had carved a lifelike grasshopper, about the size of a thumb, with the feathers of its wings clearly visible and the patterns very distinct.

He casually tossed it to her, saying, "Didn't I tell you not to wait?"

Mu Xi was instantly won over by the little cricket, and for a moment forgot what she had been arguing about.

Mu Jin added, "Besides, you've had too many friends lately. Do you think I'm some kind of monkey?"

Mu Xi glanced at Mu Jin quickly, then hesitated a bit. "Ha...they're just my classmates...never mind, anyway, you're good at your studies, so it's okay if you don't attend class."

The dream shifted, and I returned to the sea, to that dream that had appeared countless times before.

She was swept into a bottomless abyss and kept falling. She watched helplessly as the blue sky disappeared from above her and her original world was swept away from her.

She refused to leave that vortex, only wanting to go back, and she struggled desperately.

At this moment, the cat sat on the bed, hugging a blanket, and grabbed Mu Xi's hand, which was scratching around everywhere.

Mu Xi suddenly opened his eyes!

She was panting heavily when she suddenly sat up. She stared at the cat, unable to come to her senses for a long time.

"Did you have a nightmare?" the cat asked.

Mu Xi was covered in cold sweat, but gradually regained her senses.

She nodded, but felt an indescribable joy. For a moment, she almost thought she had been pulled up.

The cat stepped over her, got off the bed, stood on the floor, and stretched out a big yawn.

"Why do you have nightmares? When I have nightmares, it's always Ah Jin who's going to leave me. When you have nightmares, who's going to leave you?"

Mu Xi looked at the cat and couldn't help but tell the truth, "I dreamed that I was swept into the eye of the sea. I couldn't resist. It's been ten years, and it feels like I've been in that eye of the sea all this time."

"Ah." The cat thought for a moment, "So, you still miss that world, hehe, get up! General!"

Mu Xi's expression immediately turned serious.

Then she saw the cat smiling at her with a mischievous look on its face.

Mu Xi's lips twitched. "You are a really special girl. I believe my second brother must love you."

Because she couldn't help but like her.

They had known each other for less than a day in total, yet she could no longer pretend to be a great general in front of her.

Mu Xi jumped out of bed and put on her coat.

Cat leaned against the side and suddenly peeked into her wardrobe. Several sets of clothes were neatly folded inside, all like the ones Mu Xi was wearing, mainly black and red, but the red was a darker shade, not bright.

There are no clothes for girls.

The cat asked, "Is this what you usually wear?"

Mu Xi nodded, and she even explained to the cat, "I'm rarely at home, I'm mostly in the military camp, and it's inconvenient to wear women's clothing."

"oh."

Mu Xi went out, and as soon as she opened the door, she saw General Chen standing outside, as if he had been waiting there all along.

"Good morning, General!"

Mu Xi simply nodded.

Cat looked at General Chen and asked, "Why have you been guarding this place all this time?"

Lieutenant General Chen paused. Could he say it was because he was worried...?

Then the cat said, "Are you afraid I'll kidnap your general?"

General Chen was even more speechless, because that was exactly it!

A short while later, they went to the front hall, where Lan Yan, who had gotten up early and was already waiting, immediately stood up and said, "Good morning, did you sleep well last night?"

"Okay," said the cat.

Mu Xi nodded. "In a bit, shall I show you around the city? This place is different from the world you're familiar with."

Lan Yan nodded repeatedly. No matter what they did, as long as he could be with Mu Xi, that was fine.

"Okay," the cat replied casually.

After the meal, when the three of them went out, General Chen brought many people with him!

Mu Xi finally became somewhat displeased, "I was just strolling around, why did you bring so many people with me?"

Lieutenant General Chen: "General, I..."

"Go back! Don't follow me!" Mu Xi's stern tone was quite intimidating.

General Chen then took the man back.

The three of them wandered around the streets for a long time. Maomao was really in the mood to shop. She saw some novel snacks and desserts, asked about them, and bought them all. But she didn't eat them herself and handed them to Muxi instead.

"You don't eat these, so why did you buy them?" Mu Xi couldn't help but ask.

"Can you taste it for me and tell me if it's good?" the cat said. "If it's good, I'll take it back and have my company make it."

Lan Yan vaguely remembered that Yao Men was doing very well in the catering industry, so she said, "Second Sister-in-law's catering company is very big."

Mu Xi then looked at Lan Yan and said, "Why are you calling her that so often? She's my future sister-in-law, not yours."

She hadn't even called out to him much, yet Lan Yan was already calling out to him so naturally.

Lan Yan chuckled, "Everyone calls me that, it's not just me..."

Mu Xi opened the box, carefully tasted everything the cat had bought, and picked out a few delicious items for her.

Unfortunately, the cat bought far too much, and she couldn't taste any more.

Around noon, Mu Xi led them into a restaurant and said, "The food here is quite authentic. Let's have lunch here."
