Chapter 80 Ah Jin Falls From the Sky

Mu Jin took out the bamboo slip, opened it and looked at it for a while, then slowly rolled it up and put it back in the box.

The box deformed again, and soon returned to its square shape.

Stretching her legs out and placing her hands behind her head, Mu Jin closed her eyes, seemingly to rest.

Suddenly, his phone vibrated.

It was a call from Madam Mu.

Mu Jin picked it up and looked at it. In the past period of time, whenever the old lady called him, she would mention Jiu Maomao. Today, he didn't know what to say.

"Hello." Mu Jin answered the phone.

Madam Mu said, "Young Master Jin, your phone is finally fixed?"

Mu Jin hummed in agreement.

But Old Madam Mu gave a light snort, "You still have the nerve to talk to me like that... You should be back by now, shouldn't you?"

Mu Jin: "Mm."

Madam Mu said, "Remember to bring me some incense back. Go to that old shop. As you get older, you become sentimental about things and won't be used to using other people's products."

Mu Jin: "Mm."

Madam Mu said, "You brat, what's wrong with saying something?"

Mu Jin asked, "Isn't it still dark in China? Did you stay up or did you get up early?"

Madam Mu paused, "You brat, it's a wonder you still remember to care about me. You got up early today, but you slept quite well."

Mu Jin said, "Take your medicine on time."

Having said that, and seemingly having nothing else to say, Mu Jin hung up the phone.

On the other side, Old Madam Mu shook her head and smiled.

-------------------------------------

The city at night is very charming, with golden lights rising along the long and wide riverbanks, and the sprawling old palaces seem to remain unchanged from hundreds of years ago, yet they come alive at this time.

During the day, on the clean streets, many wooden houses are set up, selling all sorts of trinkets.

Joseph parked the car outside, and they came in.

The cat was indeed very curious about those little gadgets, picking them up one after another to play with, and eventually bought quite a few.

“Girls really do love these little cute things,” Joseph said, while helping the cat pick out some.

The cat said confidently, "You must have used this trick to fool a lot of girls."

Joseph smiled brightly and said, "No, no, I mean it all!"

The cat thought for a moment and said, "Then you're a Casanova!"

Joseph said, "That's a great title! But if you let me lie, then I'm not going to be a Casanova!"

Cat said, "Go be a Casanova! Cat has Ah Jin."

Joseph said, "Oh! Ah Jin, Ah Jin, what a name that makes me feel so defeated! My dear kitty, you practically glow when you mention him!"

The cat smiled. She happened to pick up a copper bell and remembered the bell that Ah Jin had given her...

She immediately swung her toes, and the bell, being a magical artifact, was sealed away along with her power.

She bought two.

Just then, Joseph received a phone call. He said to the cat, "Cat, stay here and don't wander off. I'll be right back!"

The cat nodded.

However, she waited for a long time, but Joseph did not return.

She didn't foolishly continue waiting; instead, she walked ahead on her own and enjoyed shopping.

After walking down the street until all the little wooden houses disappeared, she looked around and thought she should call Lanfeng to pick her up. She couldn't count on Joseph.

But just as she took out her phone, she saw a glass door across the street open, and Mu Jin walked out wearing a trench coat and carrying a bag.

The wind ruffled his hair, and beneath the stray strands, his eyes were serene. When he was quiet, it was as if he wanted to remain silent along with the ancient atmosphere of the city.

The cat was stunned for a moment, then immediately ran over!

"Ah Jin!" Cat jumped up and hugged him, saying happily, "Ah Jin! Did you come to pick me up?"

Mu Jin was bumped by her, and the car keys she had just taken out fell to the ground. Someone was hanging lightly in her arms, and Mu Jin was stunned for a moment.

He lowered his eyes slightly, looking at the cat's face beaming with undisguised joy and delight, and forgot that he should get rid of the charm immediately.

He asked, "What are you doing here?"

Cat let go of Mu Jin herself, showing him her bags full of purchases. "I bought things!"

Mu Jin looked around. Of course he knew that he was asking where Joseph had gone, but he was too lazy to ask again.

“Joseph went on a date and left me here. Ah Jin, you are truly my angel. You have fallen from the sky again,” the cat said with a smile.

Mu Jin glanced at her and said, "Stop grinning like an idiot and come with me."

The cat nodded happily.

She crouched down to pick up Mu Jin's car keys, but the flimsy paper bag in her hand suddenly fell apart, scattering the small items all over the ground.

Mu Jin looked down, then went back into the shop, took out two bags, and handed them to Maomao. Maomao squatted down to help pick them up.

Finally, after picking up all the cats, she looked up and saw Mu Jin holding a bell in her hand.

Suddenly, the cat said, "This is for you."

"What would I do with it?" Mu Jin asked.

The cat said, "Listen to the sound, ring ring ring, ring ring ring. When it shakes, you'll think of the cat!"

So this is a constraint...

Mu Jin, of course, dared not accept it and threw it back into the bag.

The cat looked at him, pouted unhappily, and picked up her things.

In the car, Mu Jin focused on driving, while Maomao watched him intently.

Even if Mu Jin wanted to ignore that strong presence, he couldn't. He frowned and said, "Stop looking."

Cat was stunned for a moment, then realized what he was talking about. She shook her head and said, "You don't answer my calls or reply to my messages. I don't know when I'll be able to see you again after I go back to China. I should take advantage of the present moment to see you as much as possible."

Mu Jin recalled the endless stream of meaningless and harassing messages.

I stepped on the gas, and the car sped up.

Mu Jin only felt a little relieved after returning to the hotel, opening the door and getting out of the car.

Cat wanted to catch up with Mu Jin, but suddenly received a call from Joseph.

"My dear kitty, where are you?" Joseph asked anxiously.

The cat said, "I'm back at the hotel."

Joseph breathed a sigh of relief, then said apologetically, "I really regret that I didn't give you a proper send-off. Well, let's leave that for next time! When you come to Y country again, I'll take you for a drive!"

The cat nodded, even though the other person couldn't see it, "Okay!"

After she hung up the phone, she found that Mu Jin had already gone upstairs.

She returned to her room, and Chen Doudou, seeing all the trinkets she had brought back, exclaimed enviously, "Ahhh, I want to go shopping too! I've come all this way to Y country, how can I go back empty-handed?"

But the thought of her terrible foreign language skills, which she might never be able to recover once she left home, made Chen Doudou feel discouraged.

She stared at the cat, deeply moved, "Boss! I want to learn from you, I need to study hard too!"
