Chapter 256 Return to Dragon Valley, Irene's Promise

Chapter 256 Return to Dragon Valley, Irene's Promise

Relying on their identities as hunter masters, Wang Feng and the other two successfully boarded a special plane heading directly to London.

After several hours of flight, the plane slowly landed on the private runway at Heathrow Airport.

In front of the Victoria family's manor, all kinds of luxury cars were parked throughout the front yard.

Passing through the iron gate, you can see dozens of famous hunter master teams gathered in the courtyard - there are well-equipped "Blood Wolf Mercenary Group", solitary hunter masters, and even several veteran strongmen who have lived in seclusion for many years.

They gathered in groups of three or four to talk, but there was a layer of gloom between everyone's brows, and the air was filled with a sense of oppression.

"Wang Feng?!"

A gentle voice, filled with surprise, suddenly rang out. Irene walked over quickly, her skirt lifted. Her furrowed brow relaxed the moment she saw Wang Feng, and her golden eyes sparkled with ripples.

Two years have made the heir of the Victoria family more mature and charming.

She tied her long golden hair up elegantly, and adorned it with several silver hair accessories inlaid with moonstones, which made her look aristocratic yet not exaggerated.

A champagne gold fishtail dress perfectly outlines her graceful figure, and the lace tulle at the chest is faintly visible, shining like pearls in the sunlight as she walks.

"I heard you're in some trouble." Wang Feng looked at the radiant woman in front of him, his voice unconsciously softening a bit, "Do you need help?"

"Are you willing to help me?" Irene was slightly startled, and ripples appeared in her gilded eyes.

"Of course," Wang Feng said with a gentle smile, "Aren't we good friends?"

Apas muttered softly from behind: "You're pretending to be a gentleman, but you're clearly just after Miss Victoria's body."

A vein jumped on Wang Feng's forehead, and he secretly decided that after this matter was over, he would give this outspoken little Medusa a good "education".

"So, what exactly is the situation? I heard it's related to Dragon Valley?" he asked seriously.

Irene pursed her lips and nodded. "Dragon Valley suddenly closed a month ago. Since it reopened the day before yesterday, all the reconnaissance teams we sent out have disappeared without a trace."

Her slender fingers unconsciously tightened the hem of her skirt. "The last super-class team we sent out only sent back one message."

"All the dragon beasts have mutated and are indiscriminately attacking any living creature." She lowered her voice. "I'm worried that something has happened to the Overlord."

Wang Feng said without hesitation: "Leave it to me."

"But..." Irene anxiously grasped his sleeve. "Even the six-man super-class team has lost more than half, and the three survivors are still receiving psychiatric treatment."

Wang Feng looked around at the hesitant hunter masters in the courtyard, a calm smile on his face.

"Don't worry, leave this matter to our Qingtian Hunting Station." He turned to look at Irene, a sly look in his eyes. "However, I heard that if the changes in Dragon Valley can be resolved, the Victoria family will agree to a request?"

Ai Lin looked at Wang Feng's confident expression and nodded slightly: "Yes, as long as it is within our ability."

"Very good." Wang Feng nodded with satisfaction, and then said seriously: "Then please take us to Dragon Valley."

At the entrance to Dragon's Nest, members of the British Royal Mage Corps were guarding it tightly as if they were facing a great enemy.

They wore dark blue robes, the royal emblems on their chests gleaming in the sunlight. Each mage's eyes were as sharp as a hawk's, constantly alert to any disturbances within the valley.

Seeing Irene coming, the mages performed the standard British wizard salute in unison.

Irene nodded gracefully in return and personally escorted Wang Feng and the other two to the valley entrance.

Her gaze lingered on Lingling and Apas for a moment, a hint of doubt flashing in her golden eyes: "Are these two going in too?"

As a high-level mage, she could clearly sense that there was no magical fluctuation in the two of them.

"Of course!" Lingling raised her little face proudly. "I'm his hunting partner. What if he gets lost in there without me watching?"

Apas curled her lips and nodded reluctantly - if it weren't for Wang Feng's "tyrannical power", she would rather go back to sleep.

Irene pulled out a slightly wrinkled parchment map from her bosom and solemnly handed it to Lingling: "This is the route map that the Super Class team spent two days drawing. It may be able to help you.

A trace of worry flashed across her golden eyes, but she still bowed gracefully: "May our ancestors bless you with a safe return."

"Don't worry. If I can't accomplish it, then no one in this world can."

Wang Feng raised his lips with a confident arc, held Lingling's slender wrist with his left hand, and clasped Apas's fair wrist with his right hand. Before the two of them could react, he led them into the dark entrance of Dragon Valley.

Before Apas could even scream, she was swallowed up by the distorted space at the valley entrance.

After a dizzying feeling of weightlessness, the three people were taken aback by the scene before them.

The originally clear blue sky now looked as if it were soaked in blood, taking on an unsettling dark red hue, and the thick clouds hung so low that they seemed to be within reach.

The air was filled with the pungent smell of sulfur, mixed with the stench of corruption. In the distance, several purple-black lightning bolts danced silently through the clouds, illuminating the dead land.

The once lush forest is now reduced to twisted, dead trees, their trunks covered in strange black scales that glow metallically in the dim light.

All the vegetation on the ground has withered, replaced by a layer of sticky dark green moss, which will ooze out disgusting pus-like juice when stepped on.

"Is this really the Dragon Valley?" Lingling unconsciously clenched the map in her hand, the desolate scene reflected in her watery eyes.

Her small nostrils twitched slightly, as if she was trying to distinguish something from the foul air.

Wang Feng closed his eyes and felt the chaotic spatial fluctuations around him.

He could clearly sense that the spatial structure of this area was like a crumpled piece of paper, covered with unnatural folds and cracks.

"It doesn't look like a naturally occurring mutation," he said in a deep voice, "but rather like it was forcibly eroded by some alien dimension."

Apas suddenly wrinkled her small nose: "There is a rotten smell that is a bit familiar."

At this moment, a heart-wrenching howl came from the distance, followed by a series of horrifying sounds of bones breaking.

Lingling quickly unfolded the map, her slender fingers moving swiftly across the parchment. "The markings show," her fingertips paused on a twisted image of a dead forest, "that's where the strongest abnormal energy reaction is."

Wang Feng sneered, "Since we're here, how can we not find out the truth?"

He raised his right hand, and his slender fingers drew a graceful arc in the air.

The moon-white star tracks gathered at his fingertips like flowing water.

A flash of silver light appeared, and a giant snow-white wolf gracefully leaped out from the star array, its silver hair shining under the dark red sky.

"Awoo--!" Shana roared towards the sky, his voice full of excitement.

(Finally it’s my turn to show off my skills!)
