Chapter 220: Making a Snowman

"Mom, what are you looking at?"

When Zhuangzhuang woke up from his lunch break, he saw Xiaoguo standing by the window with a cup of hot water in his hand. No one knew what he was thinking.

When Xiaoguo heard the voice and turned around, she saw Zhuangzhuang rubbing his eyes in a daze. Her motherly love instantly overflowed, "Zhuangzhuang is so cute."

"Hmm~" Zhuangzhuang was really shy when he heard Xiaoguo praising him like that when he woke up, "Mom~"

Looking at Zhuangzhuang who was shy and blushing, Xiaoguo shook his head. He was thick-skinned outside, but when I praised him at home, he became shy like a little girl. There was nothing I could do. He was such a shy little man.

"mother?"

"Huh?" Xiaoguo turned around and looked at him, asking him what was wrong.

Zhuangzhuang got out of bed and ran to her side. He stood with her by the window and looked out through the gap. There was nothing there. It was blindingly white. "What are you looking at?"

His eyes were blurry and he couldn't see the tricks.

"What a wonderful concept, son." Xiaoguo put down the teacup and nodded his head. Zhuangzhuang was still young and definitely didn't understand this kind of quiet atmosphere.

"Okay." Zhuangzhuang shrugged his shoulders. He really didn't understand.

Xiaoguo looked at the snow which was getting heavier and heavier and felt a little worried. If it continued at this rate for another day, would the heavy snow block the door when he went out tomorrow morning?

"Zhuangzhuang, shall we build a snowman?"

Xiaoguo suddenly had an idea. It would be a waste not to build a snowman in such heavy snow.

"What is a snowman?"

Zhuangzhuang shook his head to indicate that he didn't understand.

"Well, a snowman is, well, a person made of snow."

Xiaoguo laughed after he finished explaining it. This is the literal meaning of "snowman", so this explanation is reliable.

"The man who made a snow pile, that's awesome! Then I want to make a dad!"

Hearing Zhuangzhuang's words, Xiaoguo's legs went weak. What about a dad?

Looking at Zhuangzhuang's excited back, Xiaoguo sighed for Jiang Shanhe, hoping that he would be happy to hear it.

"Wait a minute, put on your cotton clothes."

Xiaoguo hurriedly called out to Zhuangzhuang who was about to go out without wearing a coat. After seeing Zhuangzhuang come back and put on his clothes, Xiaoguo took him out to make a snowman.

When it comes to making snowmen, Xiaoguo considers herself an expert. As a northerner, her hometown has heavy snow every year, but she has never missed a year. Whenever it snows, she makes a big snowman if it snows heavily, and she sweeps up all the snow around to make a big snowman if it snows lightly. Anyway, she just makes a big snowman.

It’s not that I don’t like the little snowman, it’s just that to me, the little snowman is too cute and not domineering at all. It is certainly not as domineering as a big snowman placed in the yard.

"Is that so, mother?"

Zhuangzhuang followed Xiaoguo's instructions, doing it step by step, and he actually got somewhat of the same effect.

"Yes, it's OK, but it would be even better if it were rounder!"

Xiaoguo looked at the already well-made Zhuangshuang and couldn't help but sigh that it turned out so well on the first try. It was really true that comparison makes one feel miserable. She still remembers the first snowman she made. It was crooked and not cute at all. Instead, it looked like the snowmen in horror movies, which was really scary.

Thinking of this, Xiaoguo shook his arms quickly, goosebumps almost popping out. When he came out of his memories, he heard Zhuangzhuang's voice calling him.

"Mom, how is it this time?"

Zhuangzhuang filled the uneven spots with snow, and after seeing that there were no other problems, he asked Xiaoguo again.

"It's perfect now, except for the facial features and arms." At this point, Xiao Guo suddenly thought of something, "Wait for me a moment."

Under Zhuangzhuang's puzzled gaze, Xiaoguo walked into the kitchen with small steps. She came out after a long while, with a few things in her hands.

"Mom, what is this?"

Zhuangzhuang felt sad and aggrieved when he saw Xiaoguo sticking carrots into the round snowman he had made with great difficulty.

After hearing this, Xiao Guo did not answer him immediately, but just accelerated the movements in his hands. After everything was completed, he pulled him to see it clearly, "Zhuangzhuang, look."

Zhuangzhuang reluctantly walked closer to take a look, and instantly felt that the snowman was complete, so he couldn't help but shouting, "Wow wow wow!"

"Haha, what do you think?"

Xiaoguo was also admiring his own masterpiece, the white snowman. Because Xiaoguo added coal eyebrows, eyes, and mouth of different sizes and lengths, and a carrot nose, the whole thing looked vivid.

"Hey? Mom, what are you doing again?"

Zhuangzhuang looked at Xiaoguo who was walking towards the gate this time, and was a little puzzled. All the facial features were there, so what else did his mother need to do?

"Wait."

Xiao Guo didn't even turn his head back. He just said "wait" and walked out in small steps.

He opened the door and walked carefully to the big tree at the entrance. Fortunately, there were low branches, so Xiaoguo was able to break off a few branches effortlessly.

He quickly returned to Zhuangzhuang, handed him two and held two in his own hand, "Let's install arms on them."

"Okay!" As soon as Xiaoguo said that, Zhuangzhuang understood. He followed her example and gently inserted the two sides of the snowman symmetrically. Two perfect simple snowmen appeared in the yard.

"Mom, should we do a few more?"

Zhuangzhuang was still not satisfied, so he asked Xiaoguo for permission to continue.

Xiaoguo was not disappointed. There are only zero and countless snowmen. It would be unsatisfying for one person to make only one. Of course, he would want to make many.

"Very good!"

Zhuangzhuang lifted Xiaoguo up high, picked him up, and then found an empty space and started to build a snowman seriously.

"Zhuangzhuang, snowmen don't have to be just this shape. Make it whatever you want."

Children have rich imaginations, so we should not stifle them, but guide them to let their imaginations run wild.

"Okay!" Sure enough, upon hearing Xiaoguo's words, Zhuangzhuang immediately destroyed the small ball he had made and reconceived his snowman.

Xiaoguo smiled at his expression and thought, okay, Zhuangzhuang is going to make his own snowman, so it’s time for him to think about what the snowman should look like.

She seems to have made long, round, flat, square shapes. What other shapes can she make?

While Xiaoguo was thinking carefully, Zhuangzhuang had already come up with an idea and started to act.

Zhuangzhuang rolled the snowball seriously, and he decided to be a snowman general.

Although the name is a bit long, it is something he had thought about for a long time.

In this way, the mother and son braved the heavy snow, busying themselves with the snowmen in their hands. After an unknown amount of time, they both reached the finishing stage.

Xiaoguo had his facial features and arms installed first, while Zhuangzhuang came a step later.

After they finished, they explained the names of the snowmen to each other. One was General Daddy Snowman and the other was Zombie Snowman.

The two of them admired each other's snowmen. It's no wonder that Xiaoguo looked at Zhuangzhuang's snowman, which had a bit of flavor and was a bit like Jiang Shanhe.

The demeanor of the sturdy snowman is similar to that of Jiang Shanhe, they are both tall, with shoulders and backs always straight, and look very powerful. The sturdy snowman was actually created.

Just when Xiaoguo was praising Zhuangzhuang endlessly, Zhuangzhuang had some doubts: What is a zombie snowman?

"Mom? What is a zombie?"

The snowman knew that zombies were indeed a little beyond his understanding.

After admiring Zhuangzhuang's work, Xiaoguo heard his words, so she came to his side, looked at the zombie snowman she made in front of her, and explained it to him.

"A zombie is a depressed person." Xiaoguo's explanation was forced, but it was not the correct answer.

However, when Zhuangzhuang combined her words and looked at the snowman again, he found that it was really a bit like that. A depressed person would lower his head, bend his waist and shake his legs, as if there was a huge mountain pressing down on him. From this perspective, his mother had completely reproduced that feeling.

"Mom, you're amazing!"
