Time is almost up and time flies.
The Spring Festival is an annual traditional festival in Shao country. Every household is looking forward to the arrival of this day. In order to welcome this day, people will make many preparations, such as going to the New Year's market, pasting couplets, hanging lanterns, buying firecrackers, making dumplings, and the new clothes that children look forward to the most. Of course, the indispensable thing is the New Year's Eve dinner eaten by the family.
As the saying goes, children, don’t be too greedy, because after Laba comes the New Year.
After Laba, the villagers in Taohua Village gradually became busy. People who usually seldom go out went to the county town in groups to prepare New Year's goods.
Xiaoguo is no exception, but before she goes, she has to go somewhere.
"Zhuangzhuang, do you want to go with me or go play with Xiaohu?" Xiaoguo asked while putting on his clothes.
"With you."
Zhuangzhuang answered without thinking. Xiaoguo put on his clothes and turned to look behind him. "Then you better get dressed quickly."
As soon as I turned around, I found that Zhuangzhuang had put on his clothes and was waiting for me.
Seeing Xiaoguo looking at him, Zhuangzhuang immediately picked up the messenger bag on the bed, put it on his back neatly, and then looked at her, "I'm ready, let's go!"
After saying that, he took the lead and walked outside.
Xiaoguo stood there in a daze, blinking his eyes. It turned out that after talking for so long, the other person had already finished cleaning up. So, he was the slow one.
Xiaoguo looked outside and found that Zhuangzhuang had climbed onto the donkey cart by himself, so he immediately shouted, "Wait for me."
Xiaoguo ran out, locked the door, and then took Zhuangzhuang with him to the post station.
The first time is new, the second time is familiar, not to mention that Xiaoguo has been here four or five times. Once he enters the yard, he is quite familiar with it.
She and Jiang Shanhe have been communicating via letters for several times. Although the waiting time is long each time, she is still looking forward to it every day. Every time she opens her eyes, she wonders if she will receive a letter from him today. If not, she will not be disappointed because she knows that his letters may be late but not absent.
Xiaoguo came out very early because he was preparing to attend the New Year's Fair. It wasn't too late when he arrived here. When he entered the door, he didn't see anyone registering at the counter, so Zhuangzhuang volunteered to go and find someone. Xiaoguo nodded and agreed.
After getting her consent, Zhuangzhuang went straight to the backyard. According to his experience, the people in the lobby were most likely feeding the horses in the stable in the backyard at this time.
Sure enough, once I entered the backyard, I saw a man at the front of a row of horses.
Zhuangzhuang chuckled and happily ran up to say hello.
"Hello!"
The man was startled by the sudden sound, turned around and saw that it was him.
"You are here." The person in charge of registration was an elderly man, and people here simply called him "Uncle".
As soon as the uncle saw Zhuangzhuang, he squinted his eyes and smiled, "Come on, I'll go register you."
Zhuangzhuang nodded, followed him with a smile, and chatted with him.
Xiaoguo stood in the lobby bored. Before long, he heard laughter coming from far away.
The old and the young seemed to have a lot in common. Even when they were about to leave, they were still discussing something. If they were not about to leave, the uncle would really have the urge to pull Zhuangzhuang aside for a long chat.
This makes Xiaoguo admire Zhuangzhuang very much. When he meets people of different ages, genders and statuses, he can quickly find topics to talk about and get along well with them.
When they returned to the county, Xiao Guo touched her lovingly, and Zhuang Zhuang, who was obviously very excited, said, "Little socialite."
Zhuangzhuang, who was watching the flow of people, looked at Xiaoguo in surprise after hearing what was said, "Social flower? What kind of flower is that?"
Listening to his innocent words, Xiao Guo covered her mouth and smiled, "Universal-shaped flowers."
Universal? How strange! He had never heard of this flower. It seemed that he needed to study the types of flowers in various countries.
"Mom, can I go to the bookstore later?"
"Of course." Xiaoguo nodded without thinking. As long as Zhuangzhuang wanted the book, she would pay for it no matter how expensive it was.
"That's great! Thank you, mom, ok~" As he said that, Zhuangzhuang held Xiaoguo's face, aimed at one of her cheeks, and kissed her hard.
Xiaoguo really enjoys the intimacy of the strong little one. For now, he should enjoy it as much as he can. When he grows up a little, you can’t kiss him so casually.
Because it was the annual market, the roads in the county town were completely impassable. The market place and the road crossings were crowded with people, and donkey carts could hardly move forward. Xiaoguo had no choice but to walk for the sake of others and himself.
So they parked the donkey cart in front of the noodle shop, fearing that something might happen if there were too many people watching, so they thought of leaving Zhuangzhuang behind. However, Zhuangzhuang refused and said that he wanted to see the power of the New Year's Fair. Xiaoguo was helpless, seeing that he couldn't convince him, so he had to take him with him.
"You must hold on to me, understand? If you encounter anything interesting, you must remember to call me, even if I can't hear you, but you must find a way to call me, you can't leave me without permission to watch the fun, remember?"
Xiaoguo was still worried, so he explained it again and again.
She has been listening to her mother telling stories about her childhood since she was young. In her mother's time, New Year's fairs or temple fairs were places where children were often lost, because people came from all over the world, and if they accidentally got separated from their children, they would never see them again.
The same is true for the New Year market here. She heard from Mrs. Yang that the merchants and the people who gathered at the New Year market were not only from the county, but many were from outside the county. She reminded her to keep an eye on her wallet.
That's why she explained and reminded him again and again, and even went through all the hypothetical scenarios. Zhuangzhuang was also very sensible, and every time she said it, he would remember it carefully. Zhuangzhuang remembered it and nodded as many times as Xiaoguo repeated it.
Only then did Xiaoguo feel at ease and walked into the crowd with Zhuangzhuang.
Amid the crowd, Xiaoguo held Zhuangzhuang's hand tightly, and Zhuangzhuang also held Xiaoguo's hand tightly, and the two walked towards the market entrance.
According to Mrs. Yang, not many people have gathered in the past two days because the New Year market is almost over. That is why Xiaoguo chose to come today.
But who could tell her what was going on with the crowded scene in front of her? If this was not a lot, then how lively must it have been in the past two days...
Most likely, it would be just her and Zhuangzhuang who would spend the New Year together, because Qin Anming wasn't sure whether he would come back or not. After all, they had Ruyi and the others, so he would probably spend the New Year with them. It seemed that he would have to ask him later.
Xiaoguo tightened her arms and weighed the basket on her back. She carried a medium-sized basket on purpose today, as she had plenty of meat at home. This time she came out mainly to buy some vegetables and some New Year decorations like couplets and lanterns, nothing heavy.
She followed the crowd along the way, walking and stopping, buying some fresh vegetables when she saw them, until she passed a stall and suddenly stopped. The person behind her didn't react and almost bumped into her.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
After Xiaoguo apologized with a smile, he grabbed Zhuangzhuang and walked towards the stall at the back.
She just thought she was seeing things, but it turned out to be true. What she thought came true!
Xiaoguo swallowed and looked at the things on the stall with eagerness. He had been craving for seafood recently, but he didn't expect that there really was one.
The idle girl at the stall was pretending to be busy organizing the seafood. Although no one was buying, she still had to pretend to be busy in front of others. Her father said that this was the way of doing business.
Suddenly she saw someone visiting her stall and she was stunned for a moment and forgot about doing business.
