Chapter 46 Going to the Market

Zhuangzhuang was awake at this moment, and Xiaoguo called him to go out with him to herd cattle and donkeys. Zhuangzhuang happily took the rope and skillfully put it around the cows' necks. After feeding them for such a long time, the cows had grown much taller now, and Zhuangzhuang had to lift his feet to put the rope around their necks. Xiaoguo took the donkeys out of the house and came to the river where they were last time. He untied the rope and let them eat grass freely.

Xiaoguo and Zhuangzhuang sat on a rock, quietly appreciating the scenery. It must be said that the air quality here is very good. Every breath feels like purifying the heart and lungs. Their eyes can see emerald green mountains, the chirping of birds, the clear river water, and the azure sky with big white clouds floating above, moving with the wind.

Xiaoguo kept an eye on the movements of the donkeys to prevent them from running away. Zhuangzhuang sat in Xiaoguo's arms and looked at the sky. After a while, he pointed at a white cloud and called Xiaoguo, "Mom, look, what does that look like?"

Xiaoguo looked in the direction of Zhuangzhuang's finger and saw a cloud of strange shape. Xiaoguo studied it but couldn't figure out what it looked like. "Mom can't guess." Xiaoguo said truthfully.

Zhuangzhuang was not disappointed either, he narrowed his eyes and smiled happily, "Looks like mother."

Xiaoguo was very surprised, how could it be like her? She couldn't tell after careful observation. Zhuangzhuang pointed and explained to Xiaoguo, "Look, this is mom's head. The extra part is hair, and..."

Xiaoguo was amazed by Zhuangzhuang's creative ideas. After listening to his explanation, she felt that it was very similar to herself. "Really?" Xiaoguo said happily. She found that children have very good imagination. She couldn't see the shape at first, but after Zhuangzhuang explained it, it was exactly the same.

Zhuangzhuang laughed, and Xiaoguo asked him to explain what the other clouds were. Zhuangzhuang thought for a while, then pointed and said, "This is a horse, and this is a puppy's head..."

After listening to Zhuangzhuang's description, Xiaoguo really felt that it was just as Zhuangzhuang said. The mother and son played happily for a long time. When the sun went down and the cows and donkeys were full, they staggered back home.

The next day, before dawn, Xiao Guo set out in his donkey cart, still to the same time and place as last time. Before he arrived, he saw a row of people gathered there. Xiao Guo frowned, thinking that maybe someone was selling something there. Then he thought that it was possible. If he could sell something last time, others would surely come to sell something if they saw that it was good.

Xiaoguo stopped the donkey cart and planned to find another place. As soon as the donkey cart turned around, the woman in the first line saw Xiaoguo and called out to her when she saw that she was about to leave, "Young lady! Young lady!"

Xiaoguo didn't know that the person was calling him, but he turned around subconsciously when he heard the voice, and saw an acquaintance.

The woman ran a few steps to the donkey's cart and said breathlessly, "Why are you leaving, young lady? We have been waiting for you here for a while."

When Xiaoguo got closer, he recognized the person. She was the aunt who first bought Xiaoguo potato noodles last time.

"Wait for me?" Xiaoguo widened his eyes in disbelief.

"Yes! Come on, I'm here first. Give me three bowls, one bowl of spicy mushroom soup and two bowls of bone soup." After saying that, he showed the money to Xiaoguo and then stuffed it into the purse on Xiaoguo's waist.

The last time my aunt bought some, she received rave reviews from the whole family. They even drank up all the soup. Knowing that they would be selling it on market days, she rushed over early in the morning to queue up.

Xiaoguo received the thirty cents in a daze. The enthusiastic auntie even helped Xiaoguo unload the things from the donkey cart. Xiaoguo stood there and was clearly instructed by the auntie. He simply stood at the street corner and sold the things.

People rushed in. Some of them bought again because they found the food delicious. There were also many people who smelled the food last time but didn't buy it. This time they got up early and waited for the stall to be ready. People were afraid that they would not be able to buy it again, so they kept saying what they needed.

"Two bowls of mushroom soup, spicy."

"Four bowls of bone soup, two of which are spicy."

“I want…I want…”
