Chapter 401 Epilogue
After 94 days and 430,000 words, the novel is officially finished. Spread the flowers~
When I finished writing this outline, I simply set up the volumes according to the map of the Han Dynasty, including Goguryeo, ancient Qiang, Xiongnu, and Nanyue. I always felt that it was inexplicably smooth and I felt that I was really a talented person!
Later, when I looked up the life of Emperor Wu of Han, I discovered that this was his real military achievement. Wow! Things that would seem outrageous even in novels were accomplished by people in the Han Dynasty.
Liu Che, the state machine, and Huo Qubing, who sealed the Wolf's Lair, did just that. It was a coincidence, unexpected, but reasonable.
A great era, legendary heroes. I really hope that in the Han Dynasty, there were women like He Zhaojun who could break free from the constraints of the times and live a truly wonderful life.
Fan fiction based on classical Chinese is harder to write than imagined. I have to watch the original drama repeatedly, check information, and try to find ways to make up for the regrets while not changing the character settings. Later I found that this is almost impossible, because the character image drives the progress of events. Without changing the character settings, there is no way to reasonably adjust the plot.
On the basis of having to change it, I chose Emperor Wen. Many readers expressed their disapproval of the fact that Emperor Wen was portrayed as a ruthless emperor.
In the original drama, he is a cheerful leader of CP fans, but if you put aside the love line, you can find the hidden ruthlessness and heaviness.
To be honest, the two greatest emperors in history, Qin Shi Huang and Han Wudi, both pursued immortality and found it difficult to resist the weaknesses of human nature, and ordinary people were even more so.
As the Son of Heaven, what was Emperor Wen most afraid of? So he was suspicious and wary. But Emperor Wen was also the best of men, so by the end, he realized his mistakes and made amends, a behavior worthy of an emperor.
That’s all I have to say about the plot. This is the first ancient Chinese novel I have written, and there are many shortcomings. But I don’t think I can improve it in the short term. I will start the next one after I have made some progress. I’ll start for now, haha.
The mountains remain green and the water flows forever. We will meet again if we are destined to, right?
