Maple Syrup and the others quickly caught up with the escape route. Not long after they left the encirclement, the captain, his face ashen, snapped out of his reverie. The frozen waves melted back into a water curtain, engulfing the players who hadn't yet been thrown out of the water prison.
Yu Xunge said to Fuxiao Xianchan, "You're not allowed to say I owe you a favor anymore."
Fuxiao, the cicada-like creature, turned away, refusing to respond to those words.
Yu Xunge took this as a tacit agreement. She then turned to look at Maple Syrup, but before she could say anything, Maple Syrup had already turned her face away and asked in a blank tone, "How did I get out?"
Yu Xunge: "..." Never mind, I wasn't expecting anything anyway.
The raging prayer, however, glanced at her and Queque with a strange look and said, "You know we're opponents, right? We'll definitely face each other in the upcoming elimination rounds."
The implication is that, theoretically, you shouldn't have saved the three of us.
Yu Xunge inexplicably thought of that year's Tianhu Haoqi and Fengtang's "ridiculous" persistence. She glanced at Fengtang with a smile and said, "It's okay, I'll just defeat you all myself."
Queque shared the same thought. Gazing at the battle within the water curtain, she casually remarked, "I'm only letting it go for the sake of our classmates." After a pause, she added, "While saying this might sound like I'm flattering you, if it were you, you'd probably throw a punch at us to bring us out, right?"
Fuxiao Xianchan said, "I'll punch Zaijiu Xunge, and then I'll bring you out."
Maple Syrup: "Yeah, I'll give her two punches."
Yu Xunge: "..."
...
God's Tavern.
Kubei said, "What a vicious skill... Luckily, my projection wasn't assigned to their side."
The drummer poured a glass of iced drink for the captain across from him, who was deep in thought, his forehead resting on his hand: "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine," the captain explained. "I was just wondering why Qi Hua didn't kill Zai Jiu Xun Ge. Should I go and remind her?"
Just then, the tavern door opened.
Two heads popped in; they were Feiju and Mangmang.
Feiju asked, "Would you be willing to take in two homeless people here?"
The drummer laughed and said, "Who did we offend this time?"
This meant permission was granted. Fei Ju and Mang Mang immediately went into the tavern and skillfully picked out a drink for themselves as they passed the bar.
Feiju said, "We've offended Qihua and Yudun."
Mangmang chimed in, "I laughed twice because Feiju exposed their mutual back-scratching behavior."
The captain paused, vaguely guessing what was going on, and asked, "What steps?"
A few dozen seconds later, the captain, who had been looking sullen, burst into laughter. He slammed his hand on the table, stood up, and walked out of the tavern: "No, I have to laugh at him to his face!"
Feiju & Mangmang reached out and grabbed nothing in the air: "..." The captain's big slap is going to kill him.
Not long after the captain left, the door of the Divine Tavern was smashed open by some force, and two flower branches flew in, binding Fei Ju and Mang Mang, who were sitting quietly and obediently at the table, several times, and dragging them away.
