"turn out to be..."
“Power can be used in this way.”
Ning Hongchen murmured, a hint of understanding appearing in her amber eyes. She gently clenched her fist, and this simple action instantly triggered bursts of air explosions, with invisible ripples spreading out, as if she had shaken space with her bare hands.
But the next second, the skin on her palms cracked inch by inch, like a piece of cracked porcelain that would shatter at the slightest touch.
"Don't use the power of the Extreme Realm recklessly; your body can't handle it now."
Su Bai quickly reminded him.
"Hiss... Why is this happening?"
Ning Hongchen gasped in pain.
Su Bai raised a faint light, completely healing her injuries.
He said:
"The human body is supported by three attributes: physique, strength, and agility. If any attribute is too high or too low, it will cause an imbalance in the triangular structure."
"Imagine your body is a container; physical attributes affect the container's upper limit, while agility affects the container's resilience."
"You have power now, but the performance of other attributes is not up to par. Forcing it will only break the container."
"Just carefully perceive the form of the ultimate power."
He explained.
"I see..." Ning Hongchen's intelligence in combat was quite high, and he immediately applied what he had learned to other situations. "No wonder I felt very uncoordinated when I focused on increasing strength and agility before..."
After saying that, she came to her senses and, before the amplification effect disappeared, quickly went to the statue.
"Let me see just how powerful this thing really is!"
She confidently placed her hand on the statue and grasped its outstretched metal arm. The next moment, a red light burst forth from the statue's eyes.
Suddenly, the machine roared, and two more hands emerged from beneath the statue, overlapping the first arm.
Triple power boost!
Three times more challenging!
Before Ning Hongchen could react, a powerful force pressed down on her arm.
"Huh?!"
Her eyes widened.
Instantly, a surge of powerful energy welled up within him, and without hesitation, Ning Hongchen once again unleashed his ultimate power. With a resounding bang, the statue's arm was snapped in two, and then, along with the entire statue, it shattered into pieces!
However, the price to pay for using the power of the extreme realm beyond one's limits is also quite terrible.
Ning Hongchen's arm immediately emitted a series of crisp cracking sounds. Then, as if it had lost its bone support, it hung down in an extremely horrifying position, with blood flowing freely from the gaps in the arm armor.
"Fuck fuck fuck...!"
She immediately felt so much pain that her vision went black, and she almost fainted.
A glimmer of light!
Su Bai reached out from behind to support her as she fell backward, his gaze fixed on the dark doorway revealed after the statue shattered.
"It seems our judgment was a bit off."
"66 points of strength are not the requirement to complete this challenge, but rather to unlock advanced challenge options with higher rewards..."
He said softly.
Ning Hongchen hadn't had a chance to explain the changes that had occurred in that brief moment.
But he had already guessed the general idea.
This challenge should be divided into different difficulty levels. The lowest level only requires about thirty points of strength to complete, which is also the basic condition for triggering the blacksmith's quest.
This also explains the question that had puzzled him earlier.
If he hadn't cared about that silly beggar.
Or perhaps they mistook him for a monster, accidentally killed him, and thus overlooked the clues he was blocking and the hidden Holy Grail.
The two of them have probably found the quest item and left by now.
"Hey! Aren't you even worried about me first?"
Ning Hongchen glared at him.
"He won't die."
Su Bai glanced at her and saw that her arm had recovered, so he ruthlessly pushed her away from his arms, which once again drew a furious glare from Ning Hongchen.
But soon, an undisguised joy rose from the corner of her mouth.
"Probably."
She gently rubbed her right hand, which had recovered completely.
He chuckled smugly, "The system just notified me that I completed the highest difficulty Dwarf King challenge. Not only did it permanently reward me with 5 points of strength attribute, but it also granted me some kind of power inheritance."
"Oh, the power inherited from the Dwarf King."
She glanced at it again and said with a hint of pride.
"Hidden profession?... A special profession may not be suitable for you. Think it through before making a decision."
Su Bai said it casually.
"You..." Not seeing the reaction he should have made Ning Hongchen's joy stagnate in her chest. She gritted her teeth and said, "I forgot you're a hidden profession... Pfft, what's so great about that!"
However, Su Bai's seemingly casual words touched her heart.
Dwarf warrior?
It always feels like a really low-class profession...
While Ning Hongchen was still struggling with his decision, Su Bai had already passed through the broken iron door and entered the secret room in the basement.
The layout here is a complete replica of the blacksmith shop overhead, with a smelting furnace, a casting table, a quenching pool... and an unassuming, rustic forging hammer with no decorations on its surface is placed inconspicuously next to the bellows.
Su Bai walked over, reached out and grasped the hammer handle, and pulled hard... but it didn't budge.
"Please, you're so weak!"
Ning Hongchen patted Su Bai's shoulder with a mocking smile, signaling him to step aside, and then easily lifted the heavy iron hammer weighing over a thousand pounds with one hand.
"Huh?"
She suddenly exclaimed in surprise and turned to look at Su Bai, "The mission is complete."
