Chapter 345 Building Six, Sixth Floor

"I think it's too late."

Su Bai turned his head with an unusual expression.

When the woman's voice rang out, he instantly felt a sense of unease.

The sound seemed to come directly from behind the door.

There was no delay.

In other words, ever since he climbed through the window, or even earlier, a woman had been standing motionless outside the door...

But despite sensing something was amiss, the woman did not immediately push open the door and enter the house.

It was as if they were deliberately waiting for him to hide.

The little girl said nervously, "How can it be too late?...Quick, hide inside, or it really will be too late!"

"..."

Su Bai remained silent for a moment, but still obeyed her.

When he got to the bedside, he first squatted down and looked inside. The space under the bed was empty and completely exposed, and he couldn't see any mechanisms or traps.

The little girl pushed him softly from behind, so Su Bai simply lay down and crawled under the bed.

I just crawled under the bed.

He then heard a system notification.

...

Su Bai glanced at it subconsciously and immediately felt something was off. Unlike typical missions that had detailed descriptions, this mission's introduction was just one sentence:

He began to sense that something was wrong.

The space under the bed, which was originally spacious enough to accommodate an adult man, suddenly became narrow for some reason. The distance between the bed and the floor seemed to be compressed, and he soon found it difficult to breathe and gasp for air.

As he shifted his body to adjust his posture, his palm inadvertently touched a cold, slippery object.

I lifted it up and took a look.

His entire hand was stained bright red with blood.

Turning his head sharply, Su Bai saw a cold corpse lying right behind him. The corpse's eyes were wide open, its eyes wide open in death, as if it had seen something terrible before it died, its eyes revealing deep fear.

If an ordinary person were in this situation, no matter how calm or prepared they were, they would probably be unable to help but scream.

However, Su Bai has an unusual ability to accept the unknown.

I was just slightly startled.

Then calm returned.

"This illusion was not as simple as it seemed."

He held his breath, ignoring the corpse behind him, and turned his gaze back to what was in front of him. Just as he had hidden himself, the door was pushed open, and a woman in a long black dress walked into the room.

Due to his perspective, he couldn't see the woman's entire appearance, only what she was holding in her hand.

But then the changes in his surroundings interrupted Su Bai's observation.

All that could be heard was a soft rustling sound.

A cold object suddenly landed on his neck; it seemed to be a live venomous snake, which crawled into his collar and began to move!
