Chapter 117

Chapter 117

The moonlight dimmed and brightened again, its cold, desolate glow illuminating the mess on the ground and the various expressions on the faces. Thanks to the blazing, brilliant light, the bamboo forest was at its brightest that night.

Afu wiped away her tears, leaning out of the range where the sword formation could harm her. Yin Qiu raised her sleeve to wipe the blood from her lips. The sleeve was soaked with blood, making the lower half of her face dirtier and dirtier as she wiped it, looking somewhat eerie.

The straw hat on her head partially obscured her vision, so Wen Chaoyu took it off and looked at Afu, saying, "Little girl, don't talk nonsense. I did come to kill someone, but not to kill you."

After she finished speaking, she smiled at Yin Qiu, who was in the sword formation, as if to say hello.

"Uncle Wen...?" Yin Qiu was very surprised by her sudden appearance. She tried to stand up, but she had no strength left.

Wen Chaoyu waved his hand, and a group of Ziwei Sect followers leaped out from the bamboo forest behind him and rushed towards the men in black without saying a word.

Once the two groups clashed, they drew their swords and began to fight.

Realizing that she had indeed come to our rescue with people, Afu asked, half puzzled and half surprised, "You...aren't you a member of the Ziwei Sect? Why are you saving us? And how did you know we were here?"

Wen Chaoyu ignored her series of questions and asked with a smile, "Then aren't you from the Nine Immortals Hall? Why did you shoot that arrow at the main altar to save me back then? And how did you and Meng Wugui know the terrain of the main altar?"

Afu said, "Well..."

“Fate is just so wonderful,” Wen Chaoyu said. “I don’t like owing favors. Although I never thought of committing suicide back then, your arrow did help me a little. We’re even now.”

Afu's eyes widened, and she finally exclaimed joyfully, "You...you're a good person! Then...then Yin Qiu..."

"Don't be too happy yet," Wen Chaoyu said. "My kung fu is not as good as before, and it is still unknown whether I can save you. I did bring a lot of people with me, but I don't know if the other side also has any tricks up their sleeves."

Afu was taken aback for a moment: "Then why didn't you bring more people?"

She deliberately dragged out the word "many" and emphasized it.

Wen Chaoyu shrugged: "With your and Meng Wugui's extraordinary abilities, I don't believe you don't know my current situation in the sect. It's good enough that these people came this time. Be content."

Afu's heart was in turmoil. Hearing this, she couldn't help but hang her head in dejection and said, "Then what should we do? My master and I arranged everything from the beginning, but I didn't expect that my senior sister would be blocked by their scheme. If your people can't defeat them and my senior sister can't come, then aren't we doomed?"

Wen Chaoyu neither confirmed nor denied her words, but merely glanced at Yin Qiu, circled the sword formation twice, and asked, "Can you still stand up?"

Yin Qiu tried to support herself on the ice, but her legs trembled uncontrollably.

"Alright, stop trying," Wen Chaoyu said. "I'm just asking you, if this sword formation breaks, can you still continue fighting?"

Yin Qiu replied quickly: "As long as I have a breath left, I will not give up easily."

Wen Chaoyu smiled and said, "Then we have to break the formation first. After breaking the formation, you still have to solve the problem on your own."

Yin Qiu said, "I will." She coughed twice and then asked, "So, can Uncle Wen break this formation?"

Upon hearing this, Afu immediately cast an expectant glance at Wen Chaoyu.

Meeting those two expectant and longing gazes, Wen Chaoyu smiled slightly and said, "I'm sorry, I can't."

Yin Qiu was taken aback, then said with a mixture of amusement and exasperation, "Then you..."

"Then why are you talking nonsense!" Afu shouted, "Don't we know we need to break the formation? Honestly!"

“I never said I could break the formation,” Wen Chaoyu said, looking even more speechless than Afu. “If you’re so capable, then you break it.”

“I didn’t!” Afu said.

“I don’t have any either,” Wen Chaoyu said.

"Then let's die together!" Afu said, raising her hand and pointing behind Wen Chaoyu. "Your men are almost all dead. Let's all be buried with you. It'll be more lively walking the road to the underworld!"

After being reminded by her, Wen Chaoyu and Yin Qiu realized how fierce the battle was on the other side. Many of the cultists who had come with Wen Chaoyu had been killed by the men in black, leaving only about a dozen with relatively strong martial arts skills who were still fighting desperately, looking somewhat disheveled.

On the other hand, the other side was in complete control and their cooperation was even more seamless. In particular, the black-clad man who was leading the group showed no surprise or panic when Wen Chaoyu appeared with his men. He didn't even move, just stood there quietly watching from afar without taking any further action.

The scene seemed perfectly normal, but seeing the man's calm and composed demeanor, Yin Qiu became suspicious.

Why didn't he take action?

Since the people Wen Chaoyu brought posed no threat to them, and she was already trapped inside the sword formation, why didn't he take this opportunity to kill her quickly?

What is he waiting for?

·

"Your people are utterly useless!" Afu couldn't help but become agitated again. "I even saw a cripple inside! Are you doing this badly in the Ziwei Sect? We're doomed, we're all going to die together!"

Wen Chaoyu was annoyed by her commotion and couldn't help but yell, "If you want to die, then die yourself! If you and Meng Wugui hadn't brought Yin Qiu here, would this have happened tonight? What are you yelling about? How dare you even speak?"

Afu retorted, not to be outdone, "Would this have been prevented if we hadn't lured Yin Qiu here? This was bound to happen sooner or later! If it weren't for my senior sister..."

"Who is your senior sister anyway? So what if she came?" Wen Chaoyu interrupted. "Can she kill all of them by herself?"

“My senior sister is very powerful! Even if she couldn’t kill everyone, as long as she had arrived on time and joined forces with Yin Qiu, we wouldn’t be in this situation now!” Afu argued vehemently, sticking out her neck. “If you don’t understand, don’t make random comments. Nobody wanted things to turn out like this. We weren’t trying to harm Yin Qiu! Wasn’t this an accident?”

Wen Chaoyu rolled her eyes at her, not wanting to give in at all, and retorted, "This is a matter of life and death for so many people, you should have anticipated that many unexpected things would happen. You must consider everything carefully before implementing anything. Hindsight is useless. You did the wrong thing in this matter, so stop talking nonsense!"

Afu was rendered speechless by Wen Chaoyu's scolding. She wanted to explain further but felt that Wen Chaoyu's words made sense, so she could only say in frustration, "Then let's not waste any more words! So what do we do now?"

Wen Chaoyu remained silent, her brows furrowed as she looked in the other direction.

She had spent nearly five years in the Fiery Pool, and not many followers were still willing to follow her. It was already a rare blessing that she had these people with her this time. But as Afu said, her subordinates were indeed useless. The opponent's skills were clearly superior. Even if she came, she could only delay the situation a little longer.

Thinking of this, Wen Chaoyu recalled how Yin Qiu was able to fight against many opponents in this situation, forcing them to rely on a sword formation to subdue her. She couldn't help but look at Yin Qiu with new respect.

Therefore, if the sword formation remains intact, they will still be at a disadvantage; if the sword formation is broken, they will have to rely on Yin Qiu to protect them.

Wen Chaoyu felt a pang of pity.

Seeing Wen Chaoyu remain silent for a moment before casting a sympathetic look at her, Yin Qiu asked, somewhat puzzled, "Uncle Wen?"

“You have a hard life,” Wen Chaoyu looked at her meaningfully, then sighed deeply, “I have a hard life too.”

After saying that, she held the throwing knife she had retrieved earlier in her hand and said to Afu, "If we're going to do something, let's do something big. We don't need to worry about those small fry. Aren't you a pretty good archer? Kill the leader and fight for your life."

Seeing that she was preparing to fight, Afu quickly picked up her bow and said excitedly, "Go ahead and attack, I'll cover you!"

Wen Chaoyu looked at her with suspicion: "Are you really capable? I don't think you're a very reliable girl."

"Who do you think you are!" Afu glared at her, seeing her disdain. "I killed all these dead bodies on the ground!"

Wen Chaoyu smiled silently, glanced at the man in black while holding the throwing knife, and then shouted to Xue Tan in the crowd: "Make sure you keep them occupied. I don't ask you to kill more people, just don't die yourself!"

Amidst the chaos, Xue Tan replied to her, "Rest assured, Protector!"

Yin Qiu followed Wen Chaoyu's gaze and was taken aback when she saw Xue Tan's limping figure.

Isn't that the woman who was abducted on the street a few days ago?

Perhaps sensing Yin Qiu's gaze, Xue Tan glanced at her across the crowd and gave an inappropriate smile.

As Yin Qiu was still in shock, a dark shadow flashed before her eyes, and Wen Chaoyu had already moved and rushed over. Her throwing knife was nimble and swift, cutting through the falling bamboo leaves in the night and attacking the man in black. Afu seized the opportunity and, as the man flipped away, followed up with an arrow.

Aside from their brief encounter at the Ziwei Sect headquarters that night, the two had practically never met before. Yet, at this moment, they displayed extraordinary teamwork. Knowing her skills were insufficient, Wen Chaoyu dared not confront the man in black head-on. Instead, she maintained a distance, supplementing her attacks with throwing knives. Every time the man in black dodged, Afu would shoot arrows at him at just the right moment. The two worked together, advancing and retreating as needed. After several proactive attacks, they managed to give the man in black a hard time, making him struggle to cope.

Xue Tan was also secretly observing their movements. Because of his disability, he could no longer perform many of his martial arts skills consistently. Therefore, during the fight, he acted as the eyes and ears of the followers, directing the overall situation and preventing the men in black from having any free time to help the man.

Although the situation seemed to be improving, Yin Qiu was still sweating bullets. She was trapped in the formation and could not move an inch. The long swords stood upright all around her, pressing down on her tightly. Even if Yin Qiu wanted to help, she was powerless to do so.

Every sect that is proficient in swordsmanship will learn the corresponding formations. Yin Qiu has learned quite a few over the years at Yunhua Palace, but after exploring them, she found that she did not recognize this sword formation.

It should be known that there are many different kinds of formations in this world, and they are constantly emerging. In addition to those left by our predecessors, many new ones have been created in later generations. Compared with sword techniques, sword formations are a completely new field. Even a master swordsman can not necessarily break all the formations in this world. Every formation has its own rules. If you do not know where the core of the formation is or how to solve it, then you can forget about getting out.

Unless the trapped person is highly skilled and can forcibly break the formation, it would be a viable method. However, Yin Qiu's skills are limited, and she is at a loss when it comes to this formation. In addition, she is injured, so forcibly breaking the formation is nothing short of a pipe dream.

Since neither of these two methods works, there is only one way left.

With a "whoosh!", Afu's arrow struck the black-clad man's shoulder with pinpoint accuracy. Upon seeing this, Wen Chaoyu quickly threw a throwing knife, slashing a deep wound across his chest.

The dazzling array of lights before their eyes flickered, and the intense pressure eased slightly. Yin Qiu's face lit up with joy, and he immediately shouted, "He's the master of the array! Injuring him will break the array!"

Those longswords were all controlled by the man with his true energy. If he was injured and his true energy was insufficient, the sword formation would gradually lose its effectiveness.

This may be why he has been hesitant to take action.

Upon hearing this, Afu and Wen Chaoyu attacked the man in black even more vigorously. Perhaps realizing that their opponent was not as easy to deal with as they had expected, the man decisively withdrew and ordered his subordinates, "Withdraw!"

In an instant, all the men in black obeyed and retreated, forming a protective barrier in front of the man in black. Xue Tan hurriedly led his subordinates to meet them, but the other side had already changed tactics. The man in black hid behind the crowd and began chanting incantations again. As the two sides grappled, Yin Qiu in the formation once again faced a new round of pressure. The formation forced his true energy into chaos, and his blood surged.

"No, this will be bad for Yin Qiu!" Afu immediately noticed Yin Qiu's situation and shouted to Wen Chaoyu, "As long as that beast isn't dead, he can still injure Yin Qiu through the formation, but we can't defeat those men in black. This can't go on!"

Wen Chaoyu had already expended a lot of energy in the fight, and seeing Yin Qiu coughing up blood again, she couldn't help but say angrily, "Damn it, did Man Jiangxue go dig our graves in advance? Why hasn't she come yet!"

"Master! Senior Sister!" Afu cried out at the top of her lungs, as if calling for a lost soul, "Hurry up and come here!"

Blood splattered, soaking the long night; the bamboo grove was littered with broken branches, and the stench of blood filled the air. The man in black sneered, standing at the back of the crowd, and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Kill them!"

·

Large amounts of blood gushed from between her teeth, and the intense golden light stubbornly enveloped the people in the formation. Yin Qiu's eyes were unfocused and her vision was blurred. She could not see Wen Chaoyu and Afu clearly. All she could see was a dazzling light that stung her eyes until they turned red, but she could not shed any tears.

The world was spinning, but the stench of blood lingered in the air. Yin Qiu whimpered twice in pain, and her tightly closed eyes could no longer be opened.

She was completely exhausted and collapsed to the ground in the light that enveloped her.

Sensing its master's danger, Zhu Bing suddenly shone with a cold light, trembling violently in Yin Qiu's hand and emitting a deep sword cry, as if it were trying to fight against the light. In an instant, the sword cry became loud and piercing, forcefully protecting Yin Qiu and driving away the chaotic noise in Yin Qiu's mind.

All the sounds transformed into clear, melodious chirps in an instant, growing ever tighter, as if coalescing into a single thread that brushed against Yin Qiu's heartstrings and echoed in her mind.

The world seemed to quiet down, with only the low hum lingering in her mind. Yin Qiu breathed heavily, clutching her head. The sword cries that sounded so intimidating to outsiders gradually softened to her ears.

The core of the formation... have found the core of the formation...

With only this one thought in her mind, Yin Qiu disregarded everything else and crawled on the ground, searching everywhere. She tried all the formation-breaking techniques she had learned, but all of them were in vain. Moreover, her incorrect attempts caused the sword formation to rebound with even more pressure, which Yin Qiu endured. The bloodstains on her side accumulated more and more. Her eyelids became heavy, and her mind became dim. In the end, she had no choice but to stop what she was doing.

But the next moment, a gentle voice suddenly whispered in her ear, "Don't be afraid."

Two soft, gentle words rang in my ears without warning, yet seemed to come from a very distant place.

—She had never heard that voice before.

Yin Qiu's distorted eyes cleared for a moment, but quickly returned to silence.

Darkness enveloped everything before her, leaving her in emptiness, as if she had fallen to the edge of heaven and earth, into a chaotic void. There was nothing there, yet Yin Qiu felt as if she were being gently lifted by a pair of hands, and a voice as gentle as an autumn breeze was saying, "Child, do not be afraid."

·

"Child, don't be afraid."

Shen Mandong leaned against the headboard, her face pale and covered in sweat. The bedding hanging by the bed was soaked and covered in blood.

The baby in her arms was crying, her tiny body still covered in blood and undried amniotic fluid. She was wrapped tightly in a clean cotton blanket and held in her palm, looking only a tiny little thing.

The deafening sounds of fighting erupted outside. The clashing of swords and blades pierced through the window screen and clearly reached Shen Mandong's ears, but she remained calm, as if she hadn't heard anything. She simply looked at the baby in her arms with affection.

"Young Miss, the Ziwei Sect is already at our doorstep!" The midwife cried, her face covered in tears, and kowtowed to Chen Mandong on the ground. "I beg you, I beg you, please leave! For the sake of this newborn child, please listen to the sect leader's arrangements and leave with the child!"

A stream of warm blood splattered onto the window screen. Shen Mandong turned her head as if nothing had happened, watching the blood slowly drip down, and said softly, "Ruyi Gate is my home. Why should I leave my home?"

The midwife repeated the action of kowtowing, blood from her forehead flowing down her nose and dripping onto her chin. She pleaded with Shen Mandong through tears, "Miss, please go, please go!"

·

"No... I won't leave," Yin Qiu struggled to open her eyes, holding Zhu Bing as she stood up with difficulty. "I won't leave..."

·

"I won't leave." Shen Mandong pulled back the covers, revealing her pure white undergarments stained with blood. She stood firm amidst the anxious gazes of the midwives and maids, and gently placed the baby in her arms onto the couch.

"Where is my sword?" Shen Mandong looked at the baby, her words seemingly directed at someone else, "Where did my sword go?"

·

"Here..." Yin Qiu held up Zhu Bing and danced in the center of the light, "Here!"

·

Suddenly, the weather changed dramatically. A fierce gale swept across the land, and a loud, phoenix-like cry arose out of nowhere, like a thunderclap from the sky, swiftly exploding in everyone's ears.

Zhu Bing trembled violently, constantly emitting sword cries that could strike straight to the heart. Yin Qiu gripped the hilt tightly and fiercely attacked the several longswords in front of him.

"Bang!"

A dazzling array of lights flashed rapidly, and several longswords shook violently at the same time. In the crowd, the black-clad man's pupils contracted, and a stream of blood immediately flowed over his black cloth and down to his chest.

Startled by this change, Afu was first taken aback, then looked behind her as if sensing something. When she saw what Yin Qiu was doing, she exclaimed in alarm, "Oh no, she's trying to forcefully break the formation!"

"Then let's take this opportunity to kill this man!" Wen Chaoyu immediately gave the order, "Everyone, attack together!"

·

"Young Miss, kill this man quickly!" The maid fell backward to the ground, blood seeping through her words. "Don't give up, you mustn't give up!"

Amidst the raging inferno and thick smoke, the sky above Liucang Mountain was ablaze with crimson. Shen Mandong knelt in a pool of blood, Zhu Bing trembling and chirping in her palm, but Shen Mandong felt nothing. She wept silently in the flames, and finally released the desperate Zhu Bing.

The torrential rain arrived silently, piercing through the clouds and crashing down. This rain came at the worst possible time, and it was so despairing.

The baby's blanket was soaked by the rain, but the fire around them was still burning fiercely. The man holding the baby stood not far away, his smile revealing smugness and mockery.

"From this day forward, Ruyi Gate will cease to exist. Surrender is your only option, unless you want to see this child die in my hands."

Warm tears dripped onto the soil, quickly swallowed by the rain. Shen Mandong's eyes were bloodshot as she looked up at the man: "What do you want me to do?"

"Leave," the man said. "Change your name and go far away. Never come back in this lifetime."

Shen Mandong stood up in the rain.

“I can agree to that,” she said, looking at the baby in the man’s arms, “but please, hold up an umbrella and shield her from the sun.”

“There’s one more thing,” the man said, taking the oil-paper umbrella from his subordinate and holding it over the baby’s head, “Give me the holy sword that Yin Xuan gave you.”

Shen Mandong raised her hand and took off the sword box from her back.

"No, no..." Blood tears streamed from the maid's eyes. "Don't believe me, young lady, you mustn't give up..."

·

"I won't give up..." Yin Qiu fell to the ground, then leaped back into the air in the next moment, "I won't give up!"

·

With a deafening roar, thunder suddenly echoed in the distance, and lightning bolts, like silver dragons, tore across the sky overhead, catching everyone off guard by a torrential downpour.

"Senior brother!" a man in black shouted, "Our objective has been achieved, it's time to stop!"

The heavy rain drowned out all sounds. Afu struck the man in black in the heart with an arrow and shouted sharply, "Trying to run? Not so easy!"

Wen Chaoyu seized the opportunity and led the remaining followers to rapidly close in.

"Tell Meng Wugui!" The man in black hurriedly retreated under the cover of his men, his voice cold as he said, "If she dares to cause trouble again, next time, you'll only see Yin Qiu's corpse!"

Afu shouted, "Keep chasing them! Don't let them get away!"

The throwing knives flew out in quick succession, cutting through the dense rain. Several men in black bravely dodged to block them, but were struck in the throat and fell to the ground.

"Damn it!" Wen Chaoyu cried out anxiously, "Grab that leader!"

The cultists pursued relentlessly, drawing their swords to meet her. Wen Chaoyu chased after them swiftly, stepping on the green bamboo, but the man in black possessed extraordinary lightness skills, far surpassing hers. He fled at an incredible speed. Wen Chaoyu had already used all her skills, but she was powerless to stop him, and an insurmountable distance remained between them.

Seeing that the people in front of her were about to leave the bamboo forest and escape successfully, Wen Chaoyu was furious. Just as she was about to grit her teeth and force out the little true energy she had left, she suddenly heard a loud noise behind her. Then, a terrifying wave of energy swept over her like a tidal wave, instantly sending her flying straight out of the air.

Not only her, but the cultists also rushed to the ground without any warning at that moment. Afu, who was behind, was hit even harder. Her face turned pale, and before she could release the last arrow in her hand, she lost consciousness as the shockwave hit her and collapsed to the ground.

"what happened?!"

Wen Chaoyu felt like her bones were about to fall apart. She hurriedly pushed herself up and looked back over the bamboo forest. She found that the place had suddenly become dark. The bright light that had been as bright as day had mysteriously disappeared without leaving a trace.

Just as she was filled with doubt and suspicion, she heard a very low cough coming from the other end. Wen Chaoyu immediately turned her head and saw that the man in black was lying on the edge of the bamboo forest, coughing up blood, and he couldn't even stand up.

Upon seeing this scene, Wen Chaoyu immediately realized what was happening.

Yin Qiu has broken the formation!

Overjoyed, she laughed loudly three times and immediately drew her throwing knife, rushing towards the man in black. The man in black behind her also hurriedly chased after her. The two flew back and forth through the forest. Wen Chaoyu dodged several long swords that were slashing at her, leaped into the air onto the top of the mountain, and then pounced on the man in black with all her might!

The throwing knife was held between his fingers, ready to be thrown, but in this critical moment, someone was faster than Wen Chaoyu.

Two slender, silver-white swords suddenly appeared from the forest almost simultaneously, piercing the black-clad man's heart with swift precision at almost the same moment!

Upon witnessing this scene, Wen Chaoyu paused in his action of throwing the knife, and stood there stunned.

Of the two swords, Wen Chaoyu only recognized one of them, the Zhubing sword that Shen Mandong once used, which is now used by Yin Qiu. But whose sword is the other one?

The frost on the riverbank is exactly the same as the one on the ice, which Wen Chaoyu has seen before, so it can't be Man Jiangxue.

Who is it that has arrived?

The cacophony of rain drowned out the approaching voices behind her. When Wen Chaoyu came to her senses, a hand had silently landed on her shoulder. That hand pulled her back sharply, seemingly effortlessly, but forcefully throwing her to the ground and into the dirty mud.

Wen Chaoyu was nearly knocked unconscious by the sudden fall. She hurriedly raised her eyes, but then squinted again under the relentless rain. She could only put her hands above her head and struggle to open her eyes wide to look at the uninvited guest beside her.

The rain poured down, and the gale continued to rage. The bamboo forest stretched out in all directions, its thick stench of blood washed away by the rain. Wen Chaoyu struggled to breathe, and through the curtain of rain, she saw a figure in a green robe, soaking wet yet clean.

Wen Chaoyu was taken aback. She raised her chin and looked up, and this time, she saw a familiar face again.

Compared to five years ago, her face had gained a sharper edge and lost some of its youthful innocence, but her features remained the same, her eyes and brows unchanged, and the way she looked at him was just as in the past, revealing a complex and cold indifference.

The rain seemed to be falling even harder.

Wen Chaoyu lay on her back in the mud pit, her depleted true energy subsiding at this moment, but her emotions immediately began to fluctuate again.

Her pale lips moved a few times, but no sound came out. She seemed to have lost the ability to speak in that instant, and could only stare in astonishment at the person beside her, forgetting to get up from the ground in time.

"After five years apart, we meet again amidst the clash of swords."

The man looked down at Wen Chaoyu, his tone and eyes both cold and indifferent.

Wen Chaoyu tried to stand up, but a sword flashed in the distance and quickly rushed to her side. Ji Wanshu raised his hand, sheathed his sword, and used the tip of the sword to lift Wen Chaoyu's chin.

She said coldly, "You still don't know how to repent!"

Author's Note: I tried a writing style I hadn't written before, and to prevent my limited abilities from misleading you, I'd like to explain: I only used Yin Qiu's hearing of Shen Mandong's voice as a pretext to write about some things from back then. This doesn't mean that Yin Qiu personally witnessed what happened back then; the ones who truly saw it are you.

If you were to ask Yin Qiu why she could hear Shen Mandong's voice...

That's what makes it fantastical. I can't explain why, but that's how it happened. You can think of it as telepathy or some kind of special connection between mother and daughter.

If Yin Qiu doesn't unleash her full potential, she might very well die this time. But I don't want to arrange for Man Jiangxue to save her. I want my daughter to face it on her own; she's grown up now.

And, Ji Wanshu's inner thoughts upon seeing Wen Chaoyu were: The last time I saw you, you had captured Yin Qiu and brought her to the Ziwei Sect. Five years later, when I see you again, you are doing bad things again and are with Yin Qiu again. You really have no remorse!

(The above rambling might be my own wishful thinking; you clever folks might have figured out my intentions. Sorry in advance, hahaha.)
