"Is there something dirty on my face?" Song Huaizhi retorted. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"without……"
Jiang Mian silently turned her head away.
There was nothing dirty on his face, but this lousy system made her see "dirt"!
Perhaps it was after drinking a bottle of beer, or perhaps it was the street breeze that made Jiang Mian's mind exceptionally clear.
As if she couldn't keep her mouth shut, she blurted out in the next second, "Song Huaizhi, you don't like me, do you?"
The look of surprise on the other person's face flashed by, but it did not escape Jiang Mian's eyes.
"Miss Jiang Wan is so beautiful, any boy who isn't blind would fall in love with you at first sight."
Song Huaizhi initially thought Jiang Mian was joking, but seeing her serious expression, he knew she wasn't.
After the other person remained silent for a few seconds, Song Huaizhi also dropped his joking expression, thought seriously for a moment, and then told a white lie: "Although you are very charming, I don't like you."
If it weren't for the heart-fluttering score above his head as proof, Jiang Mian might have actually believed it.
But it took a lot of courage for Jiang Mian to blurt out those words.
So she didn't choose to ask any further questions.
"Sorry, I might be drunk."
Jiang Mian laughed it off, skipped the topic, and started talking to the other person about other things.
Perhaps to accommodate her embarrassment, Song Huaizhi, as a man, took the initiative to ask Jiang Mian for her number.
This would avoid any awkwardness, so Jiang Mian readily gave it to her.
The conversation about "like or dislike" that just happened was as if it had never occurred.
Neither of them mentioned it, and they continued in this tacit understanding.
After Song Huaizhi escorted Jiang Mian back to the hotel.
After getting off the bus, we had already said goodbye to each other.
But just as Jiang Mian stepped onto the hotel entrance steps, Song Huaizhi's voice rang out behind her again: "Miss Jiang."
"Um?"
Jiang Mian turned to look at him.
The passing wind blew her hair, and also subtly stirred Song Huaizhi's heart.
Seeing that the heart-fluttering value, which had already dropped, suddenly rise to "90", almost breaking through the 90-point mark.
Jiang Mian almost lost her composure, even though she was usually very carefree.
But in front of others, I still can't help but show my best side.
This is a behavior hidden in the subconscious of Chinese people, and the situation is even more different when the other party is a teacher.
Jiang Mian turned around and stood still, fixing her unruly hair like a child preparing to receive a scolding.
Seeing her flustered and somewhat comical yet adorable, Song Huaizhi's "heartbeat value" of 90 remained unchanged.
"Nothing special, I just wanted to ask if you have class tomorrow?"
What do you need to do?
"I'll take you hiking to watch the sunrise."
"Then I'm not going!" Jiang Mian shook her head like a rattle-drum. "Who wants to get up early in the morning to climb a mountain to watch the sunrise? I'm sleepy and tired, I'm just wasting my time!"
"That's not up to you."
Song Huaizhi smiled and said, "You haven't repaid me for helping you get out of trouble before."
"Nothing was in return, didn't I treat you to something to eat... um..."
As Jiang Mian was talking, the engine automatically turned off.
"Huh? Eating? Aren't you the one eating while I just sit here and watch?"
Jiang Mian was speechless for a moment: "It seems that's indeed the case..."
"Then it's settled. I'll pick you up at six o'clock tomorrow morning. See you there!"
After finishing his sentence, Song Huaizhi drove away.
Jiang Mian jumped up and down in anger: "Are you crazy?! Who wants to go hiking?! I didn't agree to meet you no matter what!"
But even after jumping around for a while, Song Huaizhi's car still disappeared without a trace.
Jiang Mian returned to her hotel room in a huff, and finally breathed a sigh of relief after trying to turn back into her original form.
The longer she stayed in the hotel, the more her heart bled, so she went downstairs and cancelled the room.
However, she was told that since the fees had already been incurred, there would be no refund even if she checked out now. Jiang Mian simply decided to give up and stay one more night.
I took a good, long shower, and during that time, that damn system seemed to have come back to life and said a few words.
But I don't know if this broken thing is underpowered, because when it talks, it sounds like it's short-circuited, intermittent and incoherent.
Jiang Mian didn't understand what was said, so she ignored it. (This is foreshadowing.)
In any case, compared to the intelligence of other people's systems, my broken system is as stupid as it gets!
Although she was reluctant to get up early to climb the mountain the next day, Jiang Mian couldn't resist the drowsiness. She wanted to watch some more short videos, but she fell asleep without realizing it.
I woke up again to the sound of the phone ringing.
Unknown number?
I don't know him, I'm hanging up.
But soon, the phone rang again, tormented by more than fifty seconds of ringing, which shows how persistent the person on the other end was.
Jiang Mian was at her wit's end. Even though she wanted to swear, her body had already awakened, but her soul was still peacefully asleep.
She barely had the strength to speak: "I don't buy insurance, I don't order fast food, I don't order takeout, I'm not rich, you should scam someone else."
After saying that, she yawned very rudely, making such an unseemly sound. The person on the other end must have been furious with her.
Strangely, all that came through the phone was a soft chuckle from a boy: "Jiang Wan, you're not still sleeping, are you?"
