Chapter 60 The Unreasonable Aunt Luo

"They arrested the wrong son?"

Upon hearing this, Officer Zhao almost lost his composure: "These days, there are actually people coming to the police station to claim relatives?"

After a little thought, he understood.

Luo Biao estimated that there were other accomplices, who were too frightened to make any rash moves after seeing him being arrested.

But in order to find out the situation, he deliberately went back to inform Aunt Luo.

"Let's go see what's going on."

Resisting the urge to smoke another cigarette, Officer Zhao walked forward.

In the police station lobby, Aunt Luo, fearing the police officers wouldn't know who her son was, wailed and cried, blurting out all sorts of things: "Officers! You've arrested the wrong person! My son, Luo Biao, hasn't done anything wrong in ages! He's changed for the better since he got out of jail! You've really wronged him!"

They had handled many civil disputes, so the officers present did not dare to step forward rashly.

Although these ordinary people dare not extort money from the police, as long as they are grabbed by the other party, one ear will be bombarded with explosives, leaving them completely dumbfounded.

Moreover, if the situation is not handled properly and these elderly people are angered, they may inadvertently assault the police, which would make the situation even more complicated to handle.

Therefore, the police officers present could only try their best to calm her down, and they dared not get close to Grandma Luo at all.

"I'm very calm! My son hasn't done anything wrong! What right do you have to arrest him!?"

She kept turning over and over, and all she ever heard were the police officers' few words to calm her down.

Grandma Luo's patience finally ran out. Relying on her loud voice, she simply shouted recklessly, "Where's my son?! What have you done to my son?! Let me tell you, don't think you can just arrest people because you're police officers. We ordinary people aren't easy to bully! If you don't release my son, I'll report you to higher authorities! The old man I dance with in the square knows your bureau chief! If you don't release my son, I'll have your bureau chief fire you all!"

This kind of dramatic scene plays out almost every day, and Officer Zhao is already used to it.

People think that just because they know a few nobodies and listen to others' exaggerated boasting, they've somehow connected with some powerful backer.

Whenever he saw such a scene, he deeply agreed that the saying was absolutely right.

Like begets like, and even a rat's son knows how to dig holes!

Even with a thousand thoughts swirling in his mind, Officer Zhao still managed to put on a smile when facing Aunt Luo, an ordinary citizen: "Oh dear, what's going on here? Auntie, let's talk this out. Hey, Xiao Wu, how can you be so oblivious? Can't you see that Auntie is tired? Quickly pull out a chair for Auntie to sit down."

Officer Zhao asked politely, "Are you thirsty, ma'am? How about we have some water first?"

"What are you drinking?! My son is still locked up by you!"

Other police officers, being police officers, are not easily intimidated. If they were truly swayed by Aunt Luo's few words, they might as well change careers as soon as possible.

It's estimated that among everyone present, only Aunt Luo herself believed the nonsense she had just uttered.

Feeling more confident, she became even more arrogant.

Of course, she wasn't stupid; she didn't take these young men present seriously at all.

Upon hearing Officer Zhao speak, they knew he was in charge here, and immediately grabbed him, asking, "You're in charge here, right? Where's my son, Luo Biao?! What have you done to him?"

She looked around; there were too many rooms in the police station, and every door was closed.

Grandma Luo didn't know where the interrogation room was. Grabbing Officer Zhao's hand, she looked around and tried to rush inside: "Let me tell you, my old man knows your bureau chief. If you don't want to lose your jobs, release my son right now. What right do you have to arrest him?!"

She walked past Officer Zhao, trying to pull him away, but she couldn't budge him.

Unconvinced, Aunt Luo pulled again with all her might, but Officer Zhao remained rooted to the spot, his body completely still.

"What do you mean...?"

Aunt Luo lost her patience and looked up at Officer Zhao, only to be startled by the way he was staring at her.

"What do you want?! Why are you staring at me like that?! You want to hit me?!"

“I don’t care whether your old man really knows our chief or not, you’re crying and making a scene in the police station and you’re clinging to me and won’t let go. Do you know that this is assaulting a police officer?”

Officer Zhao's tone turned cold: "Based on your current behavior, I can simply handcuff you!"

"Go ahead and copy it! If you're so capable, then copy it!"

Grandma Luo flung his hand away, plopped down on the ground, and began gesticulating wildly and throwing a tantrum: "This is outrageous! The police are arresting people! We ordinary people have no way to survive! I didn't do anything, and he's going to arrest me!"

When a scholar encounters a soldier, reason is useless!

Officer Zhao turned to leave, but Grandma Luo, who had been wailing and howling, immediately jumped up again: "Where are you going!?"

Officer Zhao was amused by her question: "What business is it of yours where I go?"

"You're not allowed to leave!"

Aunt Luo tried to pull him back, saying, "You're not allowed to go anywhere until my son is released!"

There are always strange things every year, but I didn't expect there to be so many this year.

Officer Zhao was seething with anger; there was a lot of work piling up at the police station.

He didn't have time to waste with an old lady. Once he had investigated Luo Biao's case thoroughly, he would sentence him if he was guilty and send him to prison if necessary.

Does this old lady really think that everyone has to indulge her when she throws a tantrum?

If you can't afford to mess with someone like that, can't you at least avoid them?
