No one answered her; there was no one else in the study besides her.
"Lili..." she called out emotionally, turning to walk out of the study.
But in the instant she turned around, her gaze fell upon an imperial edict laid out on the desk.
The word "former dynasty" suddenly caught the mother-in-law's eye. She knew she shouldn't look at it casually, but at that moment she couldn't help but look.
She had never heard of such an imperial edict before. She had never seen one like it since arriving at this mansion. It seemed to be a secret edict.
It clearly states that Meng Yuxiu must do everything in his power to eliminate the remnants of the previous dynasty.
The mother-in-law was stunned for a long time before she came to her senses and walked out with fear in her eyes and face.
She was in a panic, and just as she was about to step out of the study, she bumped hard into someone.

These mechanical figures reminded him of Chan'er. If these mechanical figures had such power, passing this test would be as difficult as ascending to heaven.
Chang Lili stroked her chin and said, "A mechanical formation? Eighteen Arhats? Could these mechanical figures be blocking our way? But the formation doesn't seem to have been triggered yet. Does that mean we can get through safely if we don't trigger the mechanism?"
