The investigation team in the bureau was very powerful. The decades of hard work of the criminal police were not in vain. Their steady criminal investigation methods caught the guy who secretly fanned the flames. At the first trial, the mastermind behind the scenes was the suspect.
After many twists and turns and finding an extremely tricky angle, they arrested the man, but there was still no progress in the case. The only good thing was that Xu Shiqing was reinstated and Xie Chongyue had to write a self-criticism for a long time.
A genius is a genius after all. After three months of rest, it was like he had accumulated some time. Xu Shiqing looked more stable. Xie Chongyue couldn't help but think that it was because of the filth and blood poured by the angry families of the victims and the people who hated evil during these days. He also couldn't help but think that it was shaped by the various abusive words written on the wall at the door that were erased and added to again and again.
Xie Chongyue watched from the side, living silently and shamelessly in other people's homes, helping to clean up those things every day. Sometimes, he would run into those people at the door, and they would spit at him and call him a son of a bitch who aided and abetted the evil.
The young man had fallen, bled, and been afraid, but no pitfall or stupidity had ever left such a deep impression on him, nor had he ever regretted so much.
He thought, if only he hadn't asked someone to do the blood sample report, then the captain would never be slandered like this. No one knew better than him how heavy and bright the truths that Xu Shiqing had endured for so many nights were. He knew it too well, so he regretted that his report had led people to link it with Xu Shiqing, and thus doubt his past real achievements.
Xie Chongyue's hands were shaking from thinking about it. The thought that this man might be misunderstood because of this made him feel so heartbroken that his nose was blocked and his throat tightened.
That's so painful.
In the more than one month that he had lived with the other person, no matter what happened outside, Xu Shiqing remained motionless and did his own thing, studying, reviewing cases, or exercising.
Xie Chongyue asked him, aren’t you sad?
The door was slammed so hard it sounded like a violent storm was about to break in, and then there was the sound of something being thrown.
Xie Chongyue was indeed confused in his heart. He knew that Xu Shiqing's experience was an unprovoked disaster and the result of a group of ignorant people's fanatical outburst. This was like a minefield in Xie Chongyue's young and clear-minded mind, and it was difficult for him not to be shaken by it.
No. The man reading on the sofa said, raising his eyes under the warm light, with a dazzling starry sky in his eyes.
From that moment on, Xie Chongyue knew that he had been on this path all his life and would never change until his death.
After the case was solved without any obstacles, all the mysteries were solved like a mountain collapsing, and the truth was given to the victim's family.
However, Xie Chongyue received an unexpected news. His matter was reduced from a big matter to a small matter, and it was not because his father protected him.
"...What are you thinking about all day?" His father was speechless on the other end of the phone: "I can't protect you. Nothing has happened. I just asked about this matter and it's been resolved. You are fine."
"You're such a good-for-nothing. You're such a fool, and you're lucky to have a tall, reliable guy. Don't mess with him."
As a father knows his son, Mr. Xie finally said, "Your captain treats you very well. He treats his own son very well. He's such a tough guy. He'll probably only bow his head for you once in his life. When you go out and become a police officer, be a good person and don't let your captain down."
"Tsk." His father was surprised and a little unhappy: "Why do you always run into good things and good people?"
Xie Chongyue hung up the phone silently. His father had a bad temper, and only his mother could keep him in check.
After thinking about it, he felt a little uncomfortable. Xie Huaian had lived for most of his life, and there was nothing he couldn't get on the battlefield, in officialdom, and in the business world. This man had sharp eyes and a sharp mouth, so the good words that came out of his mouth were particularly valuable.
Are you a tough guy? Just bow your head.
Xie Chongyue licked his lips. His father said that he was a person who was easily led by emotions. When he was in high spirits, he could refuse his father's arrangement and run away from home, or become a policeman. But when he was not in high spirits, he did not think that he changed his mind frequently or was so capricious, so he naturally raised his mobile phone and began to seek protection from his parents.
Because of this, Xie Huaian had always been skeptical about how long he would stay in this profession, thinking he would soon get bored and run back home. He hadn't expected that Xie Chongyue would meet someone who would directly kick him into the police profession, and he might never be able to get out of it.
Perhaps there are some people standing in front of you, who can give you great courage just by existing.
After all, who would not walk on the moonlit road at night but instead walk into darkness?
Xie Chongyue wasn't someone who would avoid him, nor was he someone who would deliberately take a detour. To him, the only thing that mattered was the goal he wanted to achieve. As for the path he took to achieve it, or the means he used to achieve it, that was secondary.
Anyone who has the resources but doesn't use them is a fool. He is out here to prove himself, not to survive in the wilderness.
But how could he indirectly get Xu Shiqing to tell him the truth? Xie Chongyue knew him, and he also knew the old director. They were both taciturn, the former by nature, the latter by job requirements.
He knew how straightforward Xu Shiqing was and that he would not resort to any common bad tactics - although Xie Chongyue still didn't understand at the moment why his admiration for a senior would make him do this.
But we already know that he is a very honest guy. If he cares, then do it. As for the details, they are not that important to him.
