Chapter 242 Tesla

The sea shimmered beneath the surface, sunlight filtering through and refracting into the water, adding a touch of brightness to the otherwise dark seabed. As the three descended, fish would occasionally gather around Jiang Mu and his companions, curiously observing these unfamiliar visitors.

"So beautiful..."

Lying on the edge of the bubble, gazing at this unprecedented sight under the moonlight, he murmured to himself.

Although she had been to aquariums before, seeing this scene in person was a first for her.

After all, no matter how beautiful a man-made scene may be, it can never compare to this pure, natural landscape...

Durandal was also staring blankly at the scenery outside. She had been here before, but she had never discovered that such a scene was hidden beneath the sea.

Is it because of a change in mindset, or because of changes in the people around me...?

"Yorlandel murmured."

As you walk further ahead, you can vaguely see a huge outline, standing there in the shadows.

That is Haiyuan City, one of the crystallizations of the wisdom of pre-civilization humans.

"Humans, this is..."

"That's right. Wait a minute, you should see two familiar faces. Don't be surprised."

Smiling, Jiang Mu patted Yuexia's head and said.

"Um."

He nodded under the moonlight.

"Yuexia is professionally trained, so she's not usually surprised."

"Unless I can't help it, hehe..."

"Small in stature but big in mind..."

Jiang Mu smiled and manipulated the bubbles, slowly drifting forward.

………………

Soon, the three arrived at the gate of Haiyuan City.

Only when you get close to it will you marvel at its grandeur and the great achievements of the wise men of pre-civilization.

"Bianca, do you have a way..."

Jiang Mu turned his head and looked at Youlandail, who nodded and said.

"I've already contacted them, and I expect it will be ready soon..."

As they were talking, suddenly, the gates of Haiyuan City opened.

"Durandal? What are you doing here? Is Otto up to something again...? Huh?"

A woman with red hair styled in pigtails slowly walked out of the door, muttering to herself as she looked up at the group. But when she saw Jiang Mu, her face visibly stiffened, and she immediately took a few steps back, shouting loudly.

"Jiang Mu!? Weren't you already dead? Don't suddenly come back to life! I have no grudge against you, so if you're looking for someone, don't come looking for me!!!"

Seeing this, Jiang Mu found it both amusing and speechless. This guy was indeed as unreliable as ever...

"I didn't die... no, for some reason, I've been resurrected!"

Jiang Mu stepped forward, grabbed Tesla's cheeks, and said with dissatisfaction.

"Huh? Something's not right?"

Tesla frowned as he looked at the face so close to his.

"I remember, in the surveillance footage you were hit by a car, right? You even crashed into a roadside fence, and your face was badly slashed. But now your skin is better maintained than mine. Tell me the truth, you're definitely not Jiang Mu. Tell me, who are you? Are you a clone created by Otto? That guy likes to mess around with these things when he's bored..."

"Let me think about it..."

Jiang Mu scratched his head, wanting to recount some of Tesla's dark history to prove his identity. Suddenly, an idea flashed through his mind. Looking at the former, he smiled and said...

"Do you remember when you first came to my lab, you almost..."

"Alright, alright... stop talking, I believe you, you're just that stingy Jiang Mu!"

Upon hearing this, Tesla's expression froze, and he quickly waved his hand.

"Isn't that enough...?"

Jiang Mu shrugged.

"Why do you have to have all these flowers..."

As he spoke, Jiang Mu looked around and asked in confusion.

"By the way, where did Ai-yin go?"

Tesla paused for a moment, and after a long while, he stammered.

"Um, she went to Schicksal headquarters with that guy Walter."

When did this happen?

Jiang Mu frowned and said.

"That's pretty early, about half a month ago..."

Tesla thought for a moment and then spoke.

"These guys..."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Mu's face turned somewhat ugly. He immediately turned around and was about to take a step when Tesla grabbed him.

"Hey, wait a minute..."

"What's wrong?"

Jiang Mu asked in confusion.

"You...you wouldn't..."

"Mm." Jiang Mu nodded.

"But they aren't..."

Tesla is getting a little anxious.

"I only speak for myself. How they treat me or what they do to me is none of my business."

As he spoke, Jiang Mu waved his hand gently and said.

"Okay, that's all I wanted to say. Thank you for the information. I'll come to you if I need anything in the future."

"Alright..."

Upon hearing this, Tesla had no choice but to give up and turned to look at Durandal, saying...

"Hey, you idiot, you have to keep an eye on this guy and make sure he doesn't do anything stupid."

"I'm not a silly goose!"

Durandal expressed her dissatisfaction, but then nodded in agreement.

"I see."

"That's good."

As she spoke, Tesla turned her gaze back to the moonlight that was watching her, and asked in confusion.

“You… no, you don’t seem to be Theresa either, but how come you look exactly like her…”

"You'll have to ask Otto about that."

Jiang Mu waved his hand and said.

"That's enough of our chat, let's go."

With that, he waved to Durandal and Moonlight, turned around, and walked away.

Goodbye!

Under the moonlight, he politely waved to Tesla, then turned and left.

………………

Tesla stood there, lost in thought, watching the three figures disappear into the distance.

"Hmm...should we go and remind Ai-in and Walter first..."

"Let's forget about it."

Tesla shook his head at Jiang Mu's aggressive demeanor.

"To avoid being resented by that petty and vengeful guy, I'd better just focus on my research."

Having made up his mind, Tesla turned around and walked into Abyss City. The heavy gates slowly closed behind him, and the space returned to silence...

………………

"Jiang Mu, what's wrong with you...?"

After returning to the surface of the sea, Durandal looked at Jiang Mu and asked with some confusion.

"let's go."

As he spoke, under the somewhat panicked gaze of the moonlight, Jiang Mu picked her up.

"Huh, human, what are you going to do...?"

Although somewhat surprised, Yuexia remained quietly in Jiang Mu's arms.

"Durandal, you should be able to fly, right?"

"Um."

Durandal nodded, a hint of doubt in her eyes as she looked at Jiang Mu.

"you mean……"

"Alright, let's go."

As he spoke, Jiang Mu's mind stirred, and wind wings unfolded from his back. Under the shocked gaze of Yulandel, he soared into the air!

"Hey, wait for me!"

After shouting behind him, Durandal quickly summoned her armor and gave chase.
