Chapter 89 The Story of Jiang Mu (Part 9)

"This isn't right!"

Jiang Mu was stunned.

According to his memories from his previous life, when he arrived at the Hyperion, he was greeted only by Himeko, Theresa, and the three starter families. But now, why is Seele even here...?

Something's wrong. There must be some kind of loophole in this world...

"Hey, Captain..."

Seeing Jiang Mu standing there in a daze, Theresa quickly nudged his side leg...

Jiang Mu came to his senses and looked at the Valkyries in front of him, his feelings complicated.

"Hello," Jiang Mu said softly. "From now on, I am your captain. Please take good care of me."

As he spoke, Jiang Mu looked at Ji Zi beside him.

"Major Himeko, please take me to my captain's cabin..."

“Please…” Himeko hesitated for a moment, but nodded anyway and looked at Theresa beside her.

"Go..."

Theresa nodded, then looked at the group of Valkyries.

"Everyone, disperse."

"That's great!" Kiana raised her arms and hugged Mei tightly.

"Mei, let's go to Houmu Paradise!"

“Kiana…” Mei removed her hand and said seriously, “Have you forgotten that you failed your last exam?”

"Oh, don't worry about that, okay..." Kiana shook Mei's arm and said coquettishly, "I'm so smart, I'll definitely pass next time, just this once, okay?"

"I really can't do anything with you..." Mei nodded helplessly, "Don't do it again."

"Yay!" Kiana jumped up, and the hand she was holding with Mei disappeared...

"Seele, let's go too..."

Bronya took Seele's hand and walked away.

"Dean, I'm going to practice now." Fu Hua said goodbye to Theresa and left.

……………………

“By the way, Bronya…” Seele looked at Bronya and stammered.

"What's wrong?"

"I always had a feeling that this new captain..."

"Do you feel that he is hostile towards us?" Bronya's eyes sharpened, and her tone gradually turned cold.

"No..." Seele smiled and said softly.

"It's just... I feel like he... is very resistant to us..."

………………

"This is your captain's cabin," Himeko said. "Is there anything else you're not satisfied with?"

“No,” Jiang Mu shook his head. “It’s more accurate to say that this place is just too crowded.”

"Oh?" Himeko raised an eyebrow. "This is the first time I've heard such an idea..."

"Just leave me a bed, a table and chairs, and a lamp."

"That's all?" Himeko asked in surprise.

"I'm used to it," Jiang Mu said calmly, adding in his mind.

"Anyway, they'll move it away eventually..."

"Alright..." Himeko thought for a moment and said after seeing that Jiang Mu's expression didn't seem fake.

"You can stay here for now, and I'll move out once the moving company arrives."

Without waiting for Jiang Mu's rebuttal, he left.

Before leaving, he left one last sentence.

"Captain, come have a drink with me sometime."

……………………

And so, several years passed, and Jiang Mu remained in his position as captain.

"Captain brother..." Seele took out a storybook, "Would you like to tell me a story in Seele's room tonight too?"

"Not today," Jiang Mu declined. "Your sister Bronya is coming back today, and she must miss you a lot..."

“But…” Seele lowered her head, “Captain hasn’t told Seele a story for over a month, and Seele and Little Black… are both…”

"Later," Jiang Mu waved his hand, "Please apologize to Xiao Hei for me."

"Okay... alright..." Seele lowered her head, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Seele... will be good..."

Back in her room, Seele hugged her pillow and murmured to herself.

"Little Black, do you know why Captain..."

"I have no idea."

At that moment, another voice rang out in Seele's heart.

"The captain... must be very busy..."

Deep within the stigmata on Seele's chest, Black Seele sat on the ground, the scene she had witnessed years ago flashing before her eyes...

……………………

That night, while Seele was fast asleep, Blackie secretly took over her body, intending to play a prank...

"Hehe... If the captain saw Seele in his bed the next day, he'd be scared out of his wits..."

Thinking this, Seele tiptoed toward the captain's room.

Just as Seele was about to turn around at a corner, a sudden voice startled her.

“Bronya remembers reminding you…” came a calm, unwavering voice.

"Big sister..."

Seele was startled; suddenly, her innate, sensitive sense of smell made her realize something was wrong…

Pressed tightly against the wall, Seele quietly listened to the conversation not far away...

"Cough cough..." Several male coughs were heard, and "Xi'er" was startled.

"captain?"

"Bronya warned you to stay away from Seele and not to let your filthy body touch any part of Seele."

Bronya's icy voice rang out.

“I’m sorry, but… it’s Seele…”

"You must be thinking that Seele initiated contact with you, right..." Bronya sneered.

"Ha, how could a timid child like Seele possibly take the initiative to get close to you..."

"Listen, no matter what methods you use, you are never allowed to have contact with Seele again. Otherwise, Bronya wouldn't hesitate to send you straight out of this world..."

As she spoke, Bronya gave an instruction to someone standing nearby.

"Heavy Bunny, put this guy down."

"thump……"

The sound of a person hitting the ground was clearly audible...

"Today, you touched Seele's head with this hand, didn't you?"

Bronya's voice came through, and the coldness in it made Seele shiver.

"Then, let Bronya teach you a lesson you won't forget..."

As she spoke, Bronya seemed to give some instructions to the Heavy Bunny. Immediately afterward, a suppressed "whoosh" sound came from the captain, accompanied by a strong smell of burning...

"Captain!" Seele exclaimed in surprise.

A moment later, Bronya's voice came again.

"Not crippling your hand is my last act of mercy; don't be ungrateful."

"Heavy Armor Bunny 19c, let's go..."

As Bronya's voice faded into the distance, only Jiang Mu's painful gasps remained in the corridor...

"captain!"

"Seele" could no longer hold back and hurriedly took a few steps forward, but the scene in the corridor shocked her.

Jiang Mu collapsed to the ground, his legs bent at an unnatural angle. His once pristine white captain's uniform was now tattered and torn. What chilled her even more was the deep, penetrating wound on his right hand, a faint smell of burning slowly spreading through his palm…

"Xi... Xi'er...!"

Jiang Mu's somewhat unfocused pupils slowly focused, and upon seeing the person in front of him, he instinctively convulsed and staggered backward, but the sharp pain in his leg caused him to fall to the ground again...
