Pay first
After school in the afternoon, Lu Xiye was packing his schoolbag. When he looked up, he saw Jiang Zhizhi and Xu Qingbo walking out together.
He waited for a long time, but everyone except the student on duty had left, and Jiang Zhizhi still didn't come back.
Lu Xiye felt inexplicably angry. He paid Jiang Zhizhi for tutoring, but Jiang Zhizhi actually forgot about him!
He picked up his schoolbag and was about to leave when he suddenly heard the students on duty talking.
"Why are Xu Qingbo and Jiang Zhizhi's schoolbags still here?"
"They went to practice. They will raise the flag in our class next week."
Lu Xiye looked out the window and saw Jiang Zhizhi, Xu Qingbo and two other junior students carrying the national flag out of the teaching building.
The blazing red sunset shone on the two of them, making them particularly eye-catching.
Lu Xiye pulled open the stool next to the window and sat down on it. He looked outside with a cold and irritable look.
"Lu Xiye, this place hasn't been mopped yet, why are you sitting here?"
The female classmate on duty dragged Lu Xiye over, but he didn't move at all. She couldn't help but say dissatisfiedly.
Lu Xiye turned around and glared at her.
Seeing that he seemed angry, the female classmate silently walked around his seat with the mop.
Lu Xiye is a well-known troublemaker in the class. He is fearless and will even confront the teacher in person when he is unhappy. No one in the class wants to provoke him.
It was said to be more than ten minutes, but Jiang Zhizhi and Xu Qingbo rehearsed for more than half an hour, and it was almost five forty when they returned to the classroom.
As soon as Jiang Zhizhi stepped into the classroom, she saw Lu Xiye with a gloomy face sitting by the window.
The first time she faced this person, she actually felt a little guilty.
Xu Qingbo returned to his seat and took his schoolbag. He glanced at Lu Xiye who was still in the classroom with surprise.
Although he was not familiar with Lu Xiye, he knew that this guy was the most active one after school. He had never seen Lu Xiye stay until now.
However, this has nothing to do with him.
He waited for Jiang Zhizhi to return to her seat to get her schoolbag, then said, "Let's go."
Ever since Jiang Zhizhi moved, they often took the bus back home, and over time, they got used to it.
But as soon as he said these two words, Lu Xiye looked at him coldly with a sullen face.
Jiang Zhizhi coughed lightly and said, "I have something else to do. You go first."
Xu Qingbo was stunned for a moment and subconsciously glanced at Lu Xiye next to him.
Even a fool can see that Lu Xiye is waiting for Jiang Zhizhi here.
To be honest, Xu Qingbo looked down on Lu Xiye. He didn't understand why Jiang Zhizhi would still associate with such a person when she had good grades now.
But he didn't ask any more questions and just picked up his schoolbag and left silently.
"Are you going home with Xu Qingbo?" Lu Xiye asked with a frown.
Jiang Zhizhi said, "We're on our way."
Lu Xiye pursed his lips, looking unhappy, "You made me wait for a full forty minutes."
"It was the teacher who asked me to be the flag bearer, and I didn't want to be one either."
For her, time is more precious. She can read half a book in forty minutes.
"I don't care, I'm going to deduct your money."
"no."
"Why not? You're wasting my time!"
"If you deduct my money, I won't work anymore. You can find whoever you want." Jiang Zhizhi said, picked up her schoolbag, turned around and walked out of the classroom.
Lu Xiye was so angry that he, as the financial sponsor, had no authority at all.
Jiang Zhizhi walked to the door and said, "Are you coming out or not? I'm going to lock the door."
Lu Xiye was the only one left in the class, and she didn't expect Lu Xiye to lock the door.
Lu Xiye picked up his schoolbag and walked out of the classroom in a bad mood.
Jiang Zhizhi locked the door with a "click", turned around and went downstairs without even looking at Lu Xiye.
Lu Xiye originally thought Jiang Zhizhi would bow down for money, but even when they reached the school gate, Jiang Zhizhi didn't give in to him. Seeing that he was about to reach the bus stop, he stopped and said, "Hey! You really don't want to tutor me anymore?"
Jiang Zhizhi turned around and said, "If you deduct my money, I won't give you tutoring."
"It's okay if I don't deduct your money."
"You can't find reasons to deduct money from me in the future." Jiang Zhizhi said.
One thousand yuan a month is certainly not a small amount, but Jiang Zhizhi can earn that much just by reading two more books.
It would be too unfair for her if Lu Xiye continued to deduct money from her.
Lu Xiye had never met anyone with such a thick skin. It was clearly his own fault that he wasted time, but he was so self-righteous. He was simply obsessed with money.
"Got it. I won't deduct money from you in the future."
"I don't believe you. You have to pay first."
"Don't push your luck!"
Jiang Zhizhi turned around and left.
Lu Xiye went crazy.
"Okay, okay, pay first!"
He said this with gritted teeth, and even he felt it was weird after he finished speaking.
One day, in order to study, he paid money to beg others to give him extra lessons.
This is so unlike him.
“Where can I go for tutoring?”
"My home."
"Your home?"
"There's no one at my house. It's in the neighborhood in front. My dad bought it so I could go to school here."
"Don't you have a babysitter?"
"She's not here."
Lu Xiye didn't want his father to know that he was taking private tutoring, so he specifically told the nanny not to come in the evening.
Jiang Zhizhi hesitated a little, "Is it not okay for me to go to your house?"
She is an adult, and although Lu Xiye is still a child, she always feels that it is inappropriate.
"Why are you so slow? Let's go!" Lu Xiye urged her impatiently.
Jiang Zhizhi followed Lu Xiye. She felt very weird. She hated this guy a few days ago, but today she had to go to his house to give him tutoring!
Thinking about how he had looked down on her in her previous life, Jiang Zhizhi began to feel uncomfortable again.
Passing by a bank, Lu Xiye went in to withdraw two thousand yuan, and came out and gave Jiang Zhizhi one thousand yuan.
He was just casually holding the stack of red banknotes on the street, as if he was not afraid of being noticed at all.
Jiang Zhizhi's mouth twitched. This guy really should learn Taekwondo for self-defense, otherwise he would be robbed sooner or later.
The community where Lu Xiye lives is a mid-to-high-end community, with large flats on the periphery and several duplex villas in the middle.
Lu Xiye lives in the duplex villa with the best location, which has two floors, including the top floor, for a total of three floors.
He lives alone!
Jiang Zhizhi estimated that the first floor was over 100 square meters, and the third floor was over 300 square meters.
She and her mother lived in a cramped rental house of more than 20 square meters.
People are really different.
The room was very clean, and Lu Xiye even had a separate large study.
This study alone is nearly twice as big as the two small rental houses in her family.
The inside was tidy, the books on the shelves were neatly arranged, the table was clean and shiny, with nothing on it.
"You've never been here before, right?" Jiang Zhizhi couldn't help but ask.
"I've been in here twice. I was locked up by my dad." Lu Xiye curled his lips.
“What a waste of resources.”
"What lick?"
Jiang Zhizhi: ...
She was illiterate in her previous life, but Lu Xiye was even more illiterate than her.
"Where is the exercise book I gave you before?" Jiang Zhizhi walked to the carpet in front of the sofa and sat down, taking the exercise book out of her schoolbag.
It just so happened that she hadn't finished these three exercise books yet, so she taught Lu Xiye while doing them, as a review.
Lu Xiye went back to his bedroom and took the three exercise books.
He sat down opposite Jiang Zhizhi and asked, "Which one?"
"math."
Lu Xiye was troubled because he hated math the most.
Seeing his reluctance, Jiang Zhizhi said, "Math improves quickly. If you want to improve your grades in a short period of time, you must improve your math first."
Jiang Zhizhi likes to do math problems the most. Compared with Chinese and English papers that require writing a lot of words, math papers are the fastest to finish and she can earn the most money in the system.
"I don't know math." Lu Xiye said.
"You can't possibly not know any of the questions, right? Just finish one set first, and then I'll explain the wrong questions to you."
She didn't even raise her head while speaking, and she was doing the exercises with the pen in her hand. Those math problems that were a headache for Lu Xiye were as easy for her to do as drinking boiled water.
Lu Xiye had no choice but to pick up a pen and draft paper and start doing the test paper.
He had never listened to the lectures seriously, nor had he looked at the questions so carefully. The more he looked, the more confused he became.
It was not until Jiang Zhizhi finished three sets of papers that Lu Xiye managed to finish one set of papers.
Jiang Zhizhi took it and gave it a score of 32.
"How much did you score in math in this midterm exam?" Jiang Zhizhi asked.
"17."
In order to maintain the last place in the class and annoy his father, Lu Xiye wrote everything randomly in the exam. He did nothing except the multiple-choice questions and fill-in-the-blank questions.
"Very good, there has been progress."
Jiang Zhizhi sat down next to him with the exercise book and explained the questions to him one by one.
"The first question asks which option has equal probability of getting a black ball and a white ball. Option B is correct. There are four white balls, four black balls, and one gray ball, so the probabilities are both four-ninths. Why did you choose option C? Option C has four black balls and three white balls, which are unequal quantities, so the probabilities can't be equal. And this question asks you to choose the angle that forms 75 degrees. 75 degrees is an acute angle, and options A and B are all obtuse angles..."
These questions seemed as simple as they could be to Jiang Zhizhi, but Lu Xiye still got them wrong. However, she still patiently explained them to him.
It took more than forty minutes to explain the entire set of papers, and Lu Xiye standing beside him seemed to understand it but not quite.
Seeing that the time was almost up, Jiang Zhizhi tore off a piece of draft paper and quickly wrote seven lines on it.
"Seven ways to determine a right triangle. Memorize these seven methods before you go to bed tonight." She took out Lu Xiye's English textbook and underlined the words in a unit. "Memorize the English words in this unit tomorrow and practice them in the evening."
"Ah? So many?"
"Is this more?"
"Can I just memorize math? I'll talk about English next time."
"Lu Xiye, you asked me to tutor you, and now you're trying to bargain? Do you still want to learn?"
Lu Xiye suddenly wanted Jiang Zhizhi to tutor him for some unknown reason. He really didn't like studying and couldn't concentrate on learning.
But with Jiang Zhizhi staring at him like that, he would feel embarrassed if he said he didn't want to learn.
I could only curl my lips and say, "I'll learn, I'll learn. Why are you staring at me like that, like you want to eat me?"
