Twin Flowers (Part 3)

Twin Flowers (Part 3)

Yu Shu had been worried about having altitude sickness, but fortunately it didn't happen.

Tsering Dolma lives in the Potala Palace Square, with convenient transportation and complete facilities. After getting off the plane, Tashi Wangdui kept muttering that she didn't want to go home, but she didn't resist the feeling of being at home here.

"Because of our daughter, my husband and I have temporarily separated. He insisted that it was an illness and that we should go to the hospital to see a doctor. He did not believe in metaphysics, so our daughter did not want to go back to the manor to live, for fear of being taken to the hospital for a blood test." Tsering Dolma saw that the two had heard something fishy, and she smiled bitterly and explained briefly.

Every family has its own problems, and it is difficult for her as a mother to run around for her daughter.

Tsering Dolma arranged for Jiang Yu and Yu Shu to stay at the Shangri-La Hotel. When the hotel receptionist saw Tsering Dolma, he contacted the hotel manager and asked him to come down to pick them up personally.

Jiang Yu and Yu Shu didn't understand Tibetan, but they could tell that the hotel manager had great respect for Tsering Dolma. He was afraid that if she took a few more steps, her shoes would be contaminated by microorganisms on the clean, reflective tile floor, so he wanted to use himself as a doormat for her to step on.

Yu Shu used Tsering Dolma's face to experience the feeling of being superior to others.

"I'm sorry to bother you staying here for now. You've been tired from running around today, and my daughter's matter cannot be resolved all at once. Let's start tomorrow." Tsering Dolma smiled gently and patiently. She said she would start tomorrow, but the dodgy and wavering light in her eyes betrayed her true thoughts.

"It's better to do it sooner rather than later." Jiang Yu looked determined.

Yu Shu interjected at the right moment: "Has Zhaxi Wangdui learned to play a musical instrument?"

Before arriving in Tibet, he had to concentrate very hard to occasionally hear the mournful flute sounds coming from Tashi Wangdu, but after arriving, he could easily hear the flute sounds without having to put in any effort. The sounds were as clear as if they were being played right in his ears, and the more he listened, the more they sounded like sobs and cries.

He then suspected that Tashi Wangdui had learned to play a musical instrument and that his usual instrument had been tampered with.

Tashi Wangdui grabbed the corner of his mother's clothes and shook his head: "I didn't learn to play an instrument."

"What instrument do you think it is?" Tsering Zhuoma understood the meaning of the words and asked Yu Shu first, then frowned and looked at Jiang Yu.

Before liberation, feudal superstition and sorcery were rampant in old Tibet. According to what the two young men said, she really suspected that her daughter was being plotted against.

Although their family is well-known in Tibet, their dealings in the business and political circles only appear calm on the surface. There are turbulent undercurrents underneath that can drag people in and swallow them alive. There are countless people who have made small and big grudges against them, and there is really a possibility of retaliation.

"Flute." Yu Shu said bluntly.

As he spoke, he heard the flute sound again, shrill and mournful, as if if he closed his eyes, he would see in the darkness a little girl covered in bruises, with rotting and festering wounds, with disheveled hair and a slovenly look, kneeling on the ground and crying bitterly with her face covered.

Tsering Dolma’s face turned pale instantly.

In Tibet today, the flute is just a Tibetan musical instrument. But if we go back eighty or ninety years, it was no longer a flute, it was a life.

For the sake of sacrifice and privilege, the old religion and the old aristocracy would use the skin, bones and flesh of the purest boys and girls who had never been sexually abused by humans to make ritual instruments and musical instruments. Moreover, when removing the bones and skinning them, the victim had to remain awake and feel the excruciating pain.

"I understand." Tsering Zhuoma took a deep breath and contacted the driver.

She had to believe these things, as they had actually existed in history. Moreover, Jiang Yu and Yu Shu were obviously not the kind of charlatans who swindled people. They had real abilities. If she didn't seize the opportunity to stop the loss in time, it would be too late to make up for it later.

She wanted to take them to the manor, have a good talk with her husband, and find out the murderer behind the murder.

"She finally decided to come back? I told you I was sick, but you insisted..." Danzeng Dunzhu looked at the two strange men behind his wife, and his eyes suddenly dimmed.

His eyes clashed fiercely with Tsering Dolma's. No one spoke, but it was as if they had fought a fierce battle with no survivors, from contempt and disdain to the truth.

Danzeng Dunzhu sighed and said, "Come with me to sort out the list. The housekeeper will take them to the house to rest." As he said that, he took his wife and daughter inside, leaving Jiang Yu and Yu Shu to the housekeeper.

Yu Shu admired their courtyard with dazzling eyes, like Granny Liu entering the Grand View Garden. In his mind, Jiang Yu's house was already large and beautiful, but compared to Tsering Dolma's, it was a bit underwhelming. The front yard alone was the size of a football field. After passing through the winding forest path, the religious Baroque-style main house finally appeared, like a fairy tale world.

But after looking at it for a few more times, Yu Shu felt a little bored. He still preferred the Chinese aesthetic. This decoration style with a strong religious atmosphere was amazing at first sight, but it seemed strange after looking at it for a long time.

Danzeng Dunzhu came over with a stack of freshly printed papers. "My wife just told me the details. I've found everyone in the business and political circles who might have had a grudge against our family. Please take a look."

"Run! Run!" Zhaxi Wangdui covered his ears and squatted beside the sofa, screaming.

Tsering Dolma hugged her daughter, heartache and helpless self-blame swirled in her eyes, melting into crystal clear tears in her eyes.

The sound of the flute became extremely sharp and high-pitched, like a tsunami, almost destroying Yu Shu's ears. He covered his ears and made a "hiss" sound.

His movements caught Jiang Yu's attention.

Jiang Yu quickly pulled the man to his side and helped him cover his ears.

For some reason, the moment Jiang Yu touched Yu Shu's body, a strong sense of uneasiness invaded his whole body, it was the feeling of his sixth sense being suspended upside down in the air.

"What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?" Danzeng Dunzhu frowned and asked politely.

Yu Shu shook his head.

A pile of information, the reasons for the feud and the severity of it were all written in great detail, but just looking at the sorted information, there was no way to confirm the real culprit. We could only focus on the two people who were involved in both business and politics based on the severity.

However, Yu Shu discovered a very interesting problem.

The information is all about men, and several of them have the word "Wangdui" in their names.

He couldn't help but recall the information Kai Jiangyu had found on the plane: the youngest daughter of this family was either named Wangdui or Zhandui. There was also a note at the bottom of the page: "Wangdui" and "Zhandui" are Tibetan words that mean prosperity and flourishing, and also reflect masculine energy, bravery, and wisdom.

It's strange that a girl has a boy's name.

"It's a bit presumptuous, but I want to ask why you give a girl a boy's name." Yu Shu put down the information and looked at Danzeng Dunzhu with burning eyes.

Tenzin Dunzhu said, "The elders said that because we offended the old nobility and religion, the women in our family are prone to early death, so it is better to give them a boy's name."

"Then why do you have to stop when the youngest child is a daughter? Zhaxi Wangdui has three older brothers, your eldest brother has five children, the youngest is a daughter with four older brothers, and in your generation, the sixth child is also a daughter."

So the tone became sharp.

The reason why he had such deep hostility was that as long as Danzeng Dunzhu was present, the frequency of the sound waves of the flute would become faster, and the more Yu Shu listened, the more nervous he became.

He suspected that Tenzin Dunzhu knew who attacked the women in their family, but for the sake of future interests and superficial peace, he chose to avoid the topic and put on a show here.

This left Tenzin Dunzhu stumped. He thought for a moment and came up with a plausible excuse: "Because there are more boys in my family, I want a daughter. You know, we have a strong religious atmosphere here. If a family only has men, or if men make up the majority, it's unbalanced and has a very bad connotation."

Yu Shu was not religious and was not sure whether what he said was true, but his logic was correct. The less he had, the more he wanted, and the more he wanted, the less he got. This formed a closed loop, so there were no adult women in their family except for the women who married into the family.

"I understand. I also want to find out the problem quickly and make Zhaxi Wangdui feel less uncomfortable. What I said just now was very offensive. I apologize." The frost in Yu Shu's eyes melted, revealing a kind and gentle smile.

Danzeng Dunzhu smiled casually, patted Yu Shu's shoulder, and his eyes were filled with admiration like surging waves: "You are doing this for my daughter's good, I will definitely cooperate."

He pointed at one of the two people who had been singled out and said, "Dambadoji, his family used to be an old noble family and was also responsible for religious activities. Last year, due to the development of a new area, I successfully bid for it and snatched it from him. He was determined to get it. If I had to say who is the most likely candidate, they are the ones."

Yu Shu nodded, putting on a smile of obedience: "Understood."

But in his heart, Yu Shu cursed Danzeng Dunzhu several times, which clearly pointed out that Lu Yin and the others were not going to succeed.

The title of descendant of the old aristocracy who is in charge of religious activities is not easy to get, and Danba Doji is also a member of a big family, so they can see him whenever they want.

Tenzin Dunzhu winked at the housekeeper and said, "Send the two distinguished guests back." Then he turned and asked his wife, "Have you made arrangements for them? If not, I will make some arrangements for them."

Tsering Dolma frowned, hesitated for two or three seconds, and then nodded: "It's arranged."

At night, the lights are bright and the streets with a strong exotic atmosphere are bustling with people.

After eating and drinking, Yu Shu went for a stroll on the street.

They also wanted to resolve the matter of Zhaxi Wangdui as soon as possible, but the only clue they had was Danba Doji. They couldn't meet such a busy man whenever they wanted, so they had to make an appointment. So they took advantage of their free time to come out and take a look.

Anyway, since you have come from afar on a field trip, the client has made arrangements for food and accommodation, so you can just think of it as working while traveling at public expense.

Jiang Yu didn't want to go at first, but he was worried about Yu Shu going alone, so he followed him out.

"Let's go into the gift shop. I'll buy some gifts for my two younger brothers, and you can also bring some souvenirs to your employees?" Yu Shu suggested.

"You're very conscious of being a sister-in-law." Jiang Yu raised his eyebrows and teased with a smile.

Yu Shu rolled his eyes: "Fuck you, who the hell is your wife, shameless."

"You are." Jiang Yu curled his lips. Under the bright lights, the cold young man seemed to be surrounded by a gentle halo.

Yu Shu mentally advised himself to just take one more look. He stared at Jiang Yu for a full ten seconds before he was willing to look away. His gaze returned to the gift shop, and he felt a strange sense of daze as if he had been to this place before.

Jiang Yu was still at the door and hadn't entered. Yu Shu, who had just passed the door, was separated by the chaos of shattered glass, falling electrical equipment and collapsed ceiling.

Before Jiang Yu could go in and bring the people out, the wall shattered and collapsed, and they seemed to be separated by a world.

Everyone around was shocked by the sudden accident.

Yu Shu's eyes went dark and his whole body was in severe pain. He also felt numbness in his thighs and back, and warm liquid kept flowing out.

The crowd's screams mixed with a shrill, familiar child's voice, brought Yu Shu back to his senses. The little girl's voice was shouting with all her might, "No."

Jiang Yu's concerned cry penetrated the surrounding sounds. Yu Shu's eyelids trembled, and everything in front of him was dark, but he remembered that this place was familiar because he had seen it in his dream.

This is the store where Zhaxi Wangdui screamed "No" at the top of his lungs.
