Chapter 51 Mad Dog Hotel

Chapter 51 Mad Dog Hotel

They search for the humans in the ghost stories, helping them leave as soon as possible.

Forcibly removing people from ghost stories can damage their sensitive and delicate nerves, turning them into idiots.

Therefore, the lord who maintains the legend cannot die.

Only an incubation process that breaks through from within is in accordance with the laws of nature.

If the lord cannot be killed by the people within the ghost story, and if the people within the ghost story themselves do not have the power to break the ghost story, then she cannot kill the lord directly either. She must wait until all humans have left before the ghost story can be exorcised.

To avoid alerting the enemy, Shi lay prone on the barrier and sharpened his knife for a long time.

She ground open a small gap, then filled it with her own energy to seal the opening.

[The World's Minions] and the Lord of Ghost Stories have almost the same energy; her filling is seamless, and the Lord cannot detect it.

This is a task that requires a lot of patience; even a slightly larger gap will attract the lord's attention.

The journey was originally expected to take a day and a half, but an accident occurred midway, and a woman left the ghost story.

She was covered in the lord's aura, and Shi thought the lord himself had come out.

This was strange; she had never seen the lord leave the ghost story before, so she followed him to take a look.

He wasn't a lord, but he had a strong lordly aura; she would never mistake that intense bitterness.

Shi was curious and wanted to ask, but she was too shy to talk to a human. While she was struggling with this, the woman had already left.

She didn't have the courage to chase after him and chose to go back to continue working on the "door".

In just that short time, the energy of the ghost story became extremely fragile.

Either the lord was severely injured, or the lord wasn't even in the legends. Either way, seize the opportunity and quickly cut a large opening.

Before she could make the second cut, the ghost story suddenly became solid again.

The "door" wasn't big enough for humans to pass through, but it was big enough for her to walk through.

He ventured into the ghost story to investigate whether humanity was in danger, but unexpectedly encountered the woman who had already left.

As for the lord, he was neither seriously injured nor forced to leave; he remained peacefully occupied in the woman's room.

The woman peered out from the room where the lord lived; she lived very high up.

I recalled the story my sisters told me, "Rapunzel and the Beast."

A beautiful girl named Rapunzel was imprisoned in a tower by a wild beast. Rapunzel, who could only see the beast all day, fell in love with it. Later, a prince passed by, was attracted to Rapunzel, grabbed her hair, and climbed the tower… Hmm? Something seems off.

The story isn't important; I just happened to pass by that woman's house.

The lettuce on the high-rise building saw her and threw her a piece of paper.

The paper was filled with words of concern for her, and it was folded into a special shape.

This was the eighth time she had received kindness from humans. She was extremely shy, but she vaguely remembered that Rapunzel ultimately chose to be with the beast, and the prince's appearance was merely to help them confirm their feelings for each other.

After confirming that the humans in the ghost stories were all doing well, Shi created another ghost story and continued to work on the door.

She finally succeeded. It was much slower than her sisters' method of directly entering the ghost stories and leading humans away, but Shi had already gotten used to opening doors with a knife.

This is the only one she knows how to do.

Shi dared not come into contact with humans no matter what.

For example, at this moment, she ate a giant dog, and two humans sat slumped on the ground, trembling as they stared at her.

She reached out and pointed to the red line, where the human trembled even more violently.

She opened her mouth as if to speak, but met the women's horrified gazes. She panicked, turned her back, and pulled down the hood of her sweatshirt.

She still can't communicate directly with humans.

All nine of her older sisters were clever and quick-witted, but she alone couldn't even talk to humans.

The girl turned her back, and wisps of black smoke rose from her body, forming a set of characters in mid-air:

exit

There was a rustling sound behind them, and the two women ran away, their faces pale.

Shi knew that the exit was guarded by a giant dog conjured by the lord, but that didn't matter; being killed by the dog was also a way to leave.

She simply pressed on, searching for those who had slipped through the net and remained hidden.

Exorcise supernatural tales without harming the lives of others in the world.

This is the job of [World's Minions].

Not all the sisters will lead humanity to victory over the lord; most of them will choose to use the rules to kill the humans and free them as soon as possible.

The latter is much easier than the former.

Two women ran away from the girl, stumbling and running towards the red line.

Before they even got close, they could see several huge black dogs in the distance.

The women, who had just escaped death from the dog's claws, froze for a moment, but soon they noticed something unusual.

The giant dog did not move.

They lined up on either side of the red line, their ears shifting between forward and backward. Even someone unfamiliar with dogs could tell they were hesitant and conflicted.

In the center of the red line stands a white-haired woman, leaning on her trekking poles, poised in front of the line. Beside her stands a young girl with a Samoyed dog attached to her neck.

The scene was strange and breathtaking; the size of any one of the dogs far exceeded that of the elderly woman.

They flank each other like a pair of black cliffs, with the short female professor standing in the center.

The two giant dogs on either side were ready to pounce. Whenever a big movement was made on either side, the older woman would immediately glance at it sideways, occasionally letting out a stern snort or raising her hiking stick to point at the dog.

If the two women hadn't seen her several times, they would have almost thought that Meng Feiqin was the leader of these monsters.

"Don't make eye contact!" Seeing someone approaching from afar, Meng Feiqin shouted, "Walk over slowly, look at me, don't look at the dog!"

The voice was full of the qualities of an elder, calm, decisive, and convincing.

The two women were stunned for a moment, and seeing that she could stand tall and unmoved among so many giant dogs, they felt a surge of trust in her.

They braced themselves and made their way through the pack of dogs.

The dog's scent and breath were right next to them. They stared blankly and stiffly at Meng Feiqin in the middle, their movements almost synchronized.

"Relax, child." Meng Feiqin glanced at the end and saw a giant dog poking its head out.

They discovered their weakness.

She needed to guide them to let go of their fear and relax their bodies. "Girl in red, what's your name?"

"Huh?" The girl was bewildered, not understanding why she was suddenly being asked this. They had been living together for a month and had already exchanged names.

"My name is Qian Wen."

"Are you a college student?"

"No, I..." The girl swallowed hard. When she saw the giant dog sitting to her right suddenly stand up, she froze instantly, not daring to move a finger.

"Hey!" Meng Feiqin immediately raised her trekking pole and pointed it at the dog that had gotten up, letting out a low growl.

The giant dog, who had just gotten up, stared uncertainly at Meng Feiqin, and they remained locked in a stalemate.

"Come here! Come here!" Tian Miaoying called to them in a low voice, "Don't be afraid! It's okay to die in ghost stories, just think of it as a nightmare!"

"No, I'm scared." Qian Wen was on the verge of tears. "I've been afraid of dogs since I was little."

"Oh?" Meng Feiqin stared at the disobedient giant dog and asked, "Are you afraid of dogs?"

Qian Wen nodded tearfully, her knees trembling.

How scared are you?

"I...I'm terrified of dogs..."

"Afraid of all dogs?"

"Afraid."

Are you afraid of the rear dog pose?

"Afraid...?"

Qian Wen was stunned, and the girl next to her was also stunned, unable to believe what she had heard from the highly respected old professor.

“Oh, sorry,” the giant dog finally gave in and sat down hesitantly. Meng Feiqin laughed, “I meant to say downward-facing dog, it was a slip of the tongue.”

She gestured with her chin to the two girls, "Come here, girls, this road is very flat and easy to walk on."

The two young girls, still in the rear dog position, blushed and began to walk.

No matter how fast times change or how much casual banter one usually engages in, female students generally still can't handle being asked this question by a stranger or elder.

They walked the rest of the way with weak legs and came to Meng Feiqin, wanting to thank her, but Meng Feiqin shook her head slightly, "Go on."

With the red line right in front of them, the two girls stepped out hesitantly.

Tian Miaoying whispered, "Great, another group has left, there aren't many people left."

Meng Feiqin didn't respond; there was a serious look in her eyes.

As the number of people in the ghost stories decreases, the number of dogs at the exit increases.

Having lost their target, the aimless dogs gathered towards the exit.

The pack of dogs gives her courage and confidence; if there were two more, she wouldn't be able to control them.

"How many more?" Meng Feiqin asked in a low voice.

Tian Miaoying immediately replied, "Including Sister Lu, there are two more women. The number of men is uncertain, but it should be three to five."

Meng Feiqin nodded, "Understood."

On the rooftop, Lu Qi anxiously watched the situation below. She saw the pack of dogs growing stronger, and she also saw Meng Feiqin's precarious situation.

"Take the dog back!" she hissed at Lulu, who ignored her and remained silent.

Lu Qi slapped the railing and turned to run downstairs.

"Lu Qi!" Lulu finally reacted and followed. "Where are you going?"

He grabbed Lu Qi, and as Lu Qi turned around, she suddenly pulled a small spray bottle of skincare products from her inner pocket.

She pressed the spray button on Lulu, and suddenly, the pungent white vinegar flew into Lulu's eyes and nose.

His vision went white, and apart from the intense acid, he could not perceive anything else.

Lu Qi ran downstairs, locked the rooftop door, rushed into the elevator, and kept pressing "1".

She had already seen where the rest of the people were.

Hurry, we have to hurry!

This is the last chance. If we fail this time, Lulu will be even more vigilant and her behavior will become more extreme.

This time, she must not panic or be timid.

From the rooftop, Lu Qi had a panoramic view of most of the park.

She saw a woman sailing out to sea on a yacht. There was a lighthouse near the shore. The woman stopped in front of the lighthouse, and then four men came out.

Lü Shi'an was among them.

After Lu Qi's death, men became Lulu's prey. The four surviving men hid at sea every day, using the seawater to block their scent, and only returned when it was almost curfew.

Lu Qi saw that they had already disembarked on a yacht, and it was three or four kilometers from the shore to the exit.

The journey is too long, and Bai Cu can't hold Lulu back for long; there are also many giant dogs along the way. They are the last humans, and the ghost stories will definitely try their best to prevent them from leaving. However, the girl went into the hotel to search but did not find the five people at sea.

Lu Qi rushed downstairs, mentally planning out a route to avoid the giant dog, but no matter how she tried, she couldn't find a perfect, safe path.

The elevator doors opened, and she rushed to the fire escape window in the lobby, breaking off the fire hammer.

The receptionist rushed over, "What's wrong, ma'am? What happened?"

"No, thank you." Lu Qi took the hammer and ran outside. The round trip was several kilometers. She couldn't fight the giant dog with her bare hands, so she needed to find some weapon for self-defense.

After running past the open-air parking lot at the hotel entrance, Lu Qi suddenly stopped.

A car was parked next to her, and through the window, the car keys could be seen on the driver's seat.

If it were Lu Qi before she lost her memory, she would recognize that this was the car of the VIP dog-headed man who turned into a dog-headed man on the first day of the ghost story.

The man in the suit got into the car, noticed a dog in the back seat, got out, opened the back door, and chased it away.

The keys were left inside the car.

After so much time had passed, the hotel security guards thoughtfully closed the car door that hadn't been closed.

Lu Qi immediately went to open the car door.

It didn't work.

This shouldn't be the case.

She was very familiar with this car model; it had been on her shortlist of cars to buy during high school.

With a keyless start system, it's impossible for a car like this to be unable to open the door.

Lu Qi immediately realized that the key was probably out of power.

Raising the fire hammer, she slammed it down heavily on the four corners of the side window.

With one hammer blow, two hammer blows, and a third hammer blow, she smashed a crack in the upper right corner of the side window. Lu Qi immediately switched to striking the other corner.

After finally managing to create cracks, she bent her elbow and took two steps back.

With a bang, she elbowed the cracked glass in the center, shattering the entire side window. She bent down and climbed through the window, her palm brushing against the glass shards on the driver's seat, causing blood to gush out.

At this point, the pain is no longer worth noting.

The security guard came out upon hearing the noise. Lu Qi slammed on the brakes, inserted the dead key into the emergency sensor area, pressed the start button, and drove off.

Upon confirming that someone had stolen the car, two security guards disguised as black stags chased after it.

They were moving extremely fast, and the distance in the rearview mirror was getting shorter and shorter. Lu Qi was calmer than ever before. She held the steering wheel with one hand and took out the spray bottle with the other, slowing down the car.

A loud thud came from the roof, and the entire car body sank down.

A black-backed dog leaped onto the roof of the car, while another pounced from Lu Qi's side, its mouth reaching into the broken window.

Lu Qi seized the opportunity and sprayed the dog's wet nose with the spray.

"Aow!" The huge blackback suddenly let out a scream, and rolled to the side after being stung by the white vinegar.

As soon as it retreated, the dog on the roof leaned down and poked its head in, and Lu Qi did the same thing.

Two black-backed dogs rolled around on the ground, sticking out their tongues and shaking their heads, frantically rubbing their noses with their front paws.

Lu Qi silently apologized, stepped on the gas, and sped towards the seaside.

Lu Shi'an was shocked to see a car heading straight for them from afar.

The four men and one woman immediately became alert, and then they saw a hand reach out from the broken car window and wave at them.

As the car approached, Lu Qi slammed on the brakes, kicking up a cloud of dust on the beach.

"Lu Qi?" Lu Shi'an was shocked.

"Get in the car!" Lu Qi shouted urgently. "I'll see you out!"

“Okay!” Lu Shi’an didn’t hesitate and immediately opened the back door.

The five people froze when the door opened.

A small white Bichon Frise, wearing a collar, lay under the back seat, looking at Lü Shi'an with a bewildered expression as he opened the door.

"A dog!" a man cried out in terror, pointing at the Bichon Frise. "There's a dog! There's a dog in this car! You can't ride in it!"

"Don't sit! We'll turn into dogs!"

Lu Qi turned his head and then noticed the little Bichon Frise huddled under the seat.

She was about to comfort them, saying that as long as they didn't chase the dog away, they wouldn't be breaking the rules, when she suddenly heard the man in the black down jacket shout, "What's that!"

Following his gaze, Lu Qi's expression changed.

A clump of irregular, blackish-red, sticky fog is drifting towards the sea.

It's less like floating and more like rolling in the air; it's too viscous and lacks the lightness of drifting.

"Get in! Get in quickly!" Lu Qi urged.

"But the dog..."

She twisted her waist, scooped up the little Bichon Frise from the back seat, and placed it directly on her lap. "Hurry up and get on!"

Some of them still had reservations, but Lü Shi'an opened the passenger door and got in first. "Let's go! Do you guys still want to stay here?"

The remaining four then moved and squeezed into the back row.

The Bichon Frise was half asleep when the car was taken over. It climbed off Lu Qi's lap in a daze and went to its usual spot in the back seat.

The most timid man gasped, his voice trembling: "It's coming! It's coming! It's looking at me!"

"Don't talk! Don't shoo it away!" Lu Qi focused intently on driving, hooking the Bichon Frise's collar and pulling it back, wedging it between her body and the car door. Just like when she used to bring Lulu into the car.

The noise from the car startled all the giant dogs in the park.

They chased after them. Lu Shi'an looked in the rearview mirror, his face growing increasingly grim. "The dog is chasing a moving object."

Lu Qi understood, but she couldn't stop.

She avoided the location of the sticky fog, floored the accelerator, and barely outpaced Lulu in the air, only slightly.

Lu Qi glanced at the rearview mirror. In mid-air, the sticky fog was constantly approaching. If she slowed down even slightly, Lulu would catch up immediately.

Suddenly everything went dark as a giant dog leaped out from behind the green belt and blocked the road.

Lu Qi instinctively reached for the gas pedal, but stopped abruptly halfway through, gritting his teeth and crashing into it.

sorry.

I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.

The car drove through the side gap without a head-on collision, but it still produced a considerable sense of impact.

The whole vehicle jolted, jolting everyone up.

The Bichon Frise barked in alarm, and Lu Qi quickly rubbed its head before continuing to drive forward.

Thump—

"Something hit it!" The woman in the back seat turned around and saw two giant dogs running behind the car. The faster one tried to pounce on the back of the car, but fortunately the car was going fast enough that it was thrown away as soon as its front paws touched the trunk lid, only scratching a little bit of paint.

"Drive faster! Drive faster!" Her husband anxiously climbed onto the driver's seat and leaned close to Lu Qi. "You step on the gas! If you can't, let me do it!"

The man's rapid breathing splashed on her neck, and the rearview mirror reflected his anxious, flushed face. Lu Qi's pupils contracted slightly; her hands, already trembling from smashing the glass with excessive force, shook when the man slapped the driver's seat. The steering wheel, traveling at high speed, wobbled, and everyone was almost thrown out.

"Fuck your mother!" The short man, huddled in the back seat like a pancake, screamed in panic, his emotions amplified, "Do you even know how to drive?!"

Lu Qi's pupils dilated slightly.

She swallowed hard, trying to calm herself down.

Normally it's one thing, but we absolutely cannot let things fall apart at this time!

She didn't even flinch when dealing with the security guards; they were just men, nothing to be afraid of.

There's nothing to be afraid of, nothing to be afraid of!

In the not-so-large space, the barking of frightened dogs and the shouts of men alternated in a chaotic cacophony. Suddenly, a sharp female voice pierced the air: "They're here again! They're pouncing!"

A pair of gray-black paws gripped the trunk lid, and a huge dog head, drooling, was pressed against the rear windshield. Its long snout was filled with sharp teeth, and it barked and bit heavily through the glass.

The crisp snapping of teeth outside the car echoed the sharp barking of the dog inside. The man pointed at the Bichon Frise at Lu Qi's feet and shouted in terror, "Dog! It's the dog! The dog in the car attracted it!"

"Throw it down quickly! It's about to mutate too!"

Lu Qi gritted his teeth. The exit was right in front of him, and he could already see Tian Miaoying and Meng Feiqin.

She forced herself to focus on them, ignoring the man's complaints and delusions in the car.

This method seemed to work somewhat; just looking at Meng Feiqin's face calmed Lu Qi down a bit.

Bang!

After calming down a bit, Lu Qi was suddenly slapped hard on the back of his seat, almost causing him to fall onto the steering wheel.

The man, his face flushed, slammed his fist on the back of the seat and shook Lu Qi's shoulder. "I told you to throw the dog away! Hurry up!"

The Bichon Frise cried out in panic, "Woof woof woof!"

"It's barking and barking again! It must be the one that attracted those dogs!"

"Throw it out! Throw it out now! Damn it, another dog's coming! What the hell are you doing? Step on the gas!" "Throw the dog away! Throw the dog away first!"

"Shut up!" Lu Qi roared, unable to contain himself any longer. "If anyone utters another word, I'll throw the dog at them!"

The car immediately fell silent.

No one spoke anymore, only the Bichon Frise's anxious whimpering and barking.

Its voice was much cuter than a human's, so Lu Qi gently comforted it.

Lu Shi'an turned his body slightly, stunned, about to advise the four people behind him not to get agitated, but he didn't expect Lu Qi to shout like that.

He had never heard Lu Qi yell, especially at a man.

No one was arguing anymore. Lü Shi'an turned around and sat up straight, glancing at Lu Qi's profile.

Her jaw was clenched, her brows were furrowed, and her expression was stern due to the urgency of the situation. She was completely focused on driving and had no energy left to pay attention to anything else.

She was more assertive than ever before, and Lu Shi'an opened his mouth several times, wanting to comfort her, but couldn't utter a single word.

He had a feeling that if he opened his mouth, she would scold him.

At the red line, Meng Feiqin and Tian Miaoying saw the car rushing towards them.

"It's Sister Lu!" Tian Miaoying exclaimed excitedly.

"Go—" Lu Qi shouted at the top of her lungs, "Go now!"

Her voice came from the broken car window. She was less than 100 meters from the red line, and at a speed of nearly 200 miles per hour, she could cross it in a few seconds.

Meng Feiqin acted decisively, grabbed Tian Miaoying's arm, and gave Lu Qi a deep look.

"Walk!"

They crossed the red line, and as soon as Meng Feiqin left, the giant dogs on both sides of the lawn immediately became restless.

Lu Qi was prepared; at such a short distance, even if they pounced, the car's momentum would allow it to surge forward.

However, things did not develop as Lu Qi had expected.

The giant dog didn't pounce; instead, it headed towards the red line.

One after another, large black and gray dogs leaped onto the red line, their massive bodies turning into black smoke and disappearing into the red line.

The front of the car rushed across the red line, and the surrounding area was filled with red mist.

There were no streets, no pedestrians; the whole world had vanished into nothingness, leaving only a thick, impenetrable red fog.

Something's not right.

Lu Qi was taken aback.

Beyond the red line is a red mist—Tian Miaoying had told her that this was the view Yeye saw when she crossed the red line.

She got lost in the red mist and then turned into a dog.

This is still a ghost story! This isn't the exit! They didn't get out!

Thick red fog poured in through the broken car window, making it impossible to distinguish directions. Suddenly, the moving car encountered tremendous resistance.

A terrifying force clung to the rear of the car, dragging the speeding vehicle backward.

"Holy crap! What's going on?!" Chaos erupted in the back row.

"I can't see anything!"

"Something is pulling us down from behind!"

"Go, go! Get out of here!" The man pounded on the back of the driver's seat, frantically urging Lu Qi on.

Lu Qi did not move.

Her blood ran cold, she was so stiff she couldn't move, and all that remained in her mind was, "There's no door, there's no way out, she was wrong, she's harmed so many people!"

Her mind went blank, and before she could think of anything, the car was pulled back to the red line.

As the red mist receded, the familiar scenery returned.

Lu Qi stood frozen in the driver's seat.

The car door was suddenly ripped open, and with a loud bang, the entire front left door was violently pulled off.

A strong force pulled Lu Qi off the car.

She was enveloped in a blackish-red viscous mist, the viscous substance churning violently, but it was cold, no matter how much it churned, it was still icy cold.

Stimulated by the low temperature, Lu Qi's sluggish thoughts slowly began to move.

Through the sticky fog, she looked at the lawn where only three or five giant dogs remained.

There were no strange dogs wearing clothes there, and the rules weren't in effect, which means that the people who came before them really left.

The "door" that the girl opened was probably filled in by the giant dogs that pounced on the red line, which is why the six of them couldn't get out.

Realizing that the others had really gone out, Lu Qi collapsed into the red mist, panting heavily. After inhaling several mouthfuls of sticky mist, he was choked and coughed.

The sticky mist rolled and twisted into human shapes.

"Lu Qi!" Lulu, now in human form, hugged her anxiously. "You're hurt! You're bleeding!"

He was furious and wanted to teach her a lesson, but the smell of blood on her body suppressed his rage, leaving Lulu completely bewildered.

bleed……

Lu Qi looked down and noticed her hand that had been cut by the glass.

She coughed and shook her head. "Let them out."

Lulu's face darkened. "They're all men!"

“So what if they’re men?” Lu Qi struggled to his feet, his bloodied hand pointing at the wrecked car. “I brought them here. I dare to speed with a car full of men! I’m not afraid of them!”

"You're scared!" Lulu exclaimed angrily. "I saw it! You were scared when they yelled at you and patted you! Lu Qi, you can't survive out here!"

"I'm scared! What am I scared of?!" Lu Qi stepped forward and grabbed Lulu's collar, the remaining adrenaline making her scream, "Do you even know what I'm afraid of?! I'm not afraid of men! No! I'm afraid of losing you! Don't you understand?!"

Lulu was stunned.

The adrenaline was completely depleted after the outburst of anger, and a deep sense of exhaustion followed.

Lu Qi lowered her head, grabbed his collar, pressed her against his chest, and sobbed softly, "Let them out... Lulu, I finally met you again, I want to love you... But they are living in fear because of me, I can't live with a clear conscience."

"Lulu... let them out, there are still so many things I want to do with you..."

Cool tears fell on Lulu's toes, making a soft patter.

Lu Qi closed his eyes, a deep sense of powerlessness rising within him.

She knew she shouldn't cry or use such a chaotic tone; she should be like Meng Feiqin—unbreakable, decisive, and calm.

That's the proper way to make a dog submit, not by crying and wailing like she does.

But she couldn't control herself.

The extreme emotional fluctuations in a short period of time exhausted Lu Qi. She pressed herself against Lulu's hard chest, utterly exhausted and left only with gasps for breath.

There was no response for a long time.

Lu Qi's heart sank little by little.

It's okay, she thought. It's okay, even if we can't get out of here, she can still kill the five people in the car and let them leave by dying.

It's okay, she has plenty of time. She has decades to train Lulu and herself.

It's okay, it's okay, everything can be resolved.

It doesn't matter……

She pressed her lips tightly together. Even though there was a solution to everything, her eyes and nose felt increasingly sore, and she couldn't stop the tears from flowing.

Unable to say whether it was disappointment or something else, Lu Qi suddenly felt extremely aggrieved.

She knew Lulu was just a dog and shouldn't be judged by human standards. Even though Meng Feiqin used therapy dogs as an example, there are indeed dogs in this world that are immune to negative human emotions and provide love unilaterally and continuously. But those are miracles that only happen once in a million or even tens of millions of years, and are, without exaggeration, rare gifts from God.

She herself is not even one in ten million human geniuses, so how can one expect her dog to be one in ten million?

What could he possibly know? He's just a little dog.

"Don't cry, Lu Qi." Her shoulder was gently pushed away.

Light blonde hair caught Lu Qi's eye.

The young man bent down, pressed his face against her wet cheek, and said in a low, husky voice, "Don't be sad, Lu Qi, you have to be happy."

Lu Qi was unable to respond, tears streaming down Lulu's face.

He lowered his head and embraced her. "I'll let them out, please make me happy. Please make me happy, Lu Qi."

Lu Qi was stunned, tears welling up and falling unconsciously.

She cried even harder, but her heart was overflowing with joy.

She hugged Lulu back, tears streaming down her face, "Thank you, thank you so much."

He defied his dog instincts, repeatedly yielding to her chaotic, anxious, uneasy, and vulnerable state, abandoning the dominant desire inherent in his genes.

Lu Qi knew how difficult this was; it was a miracle, one in ten million.

Lulu... her most amazing little dog, who has been creating miracles of strength and gentleness since birth.

Bang--

A cold glint shone forth.

The heavy, broad-backed cleaver smashed through the barrier on the red line once more, and the girl who followed leaped and kicked the wrecked rear of the car.

The car carrying five people was kicked out of the red line and disappeared into the ghost story.

The girl raised her hand, recalling the flying cleaver back into her palm.

She pointed the knife at Lulu, her clear black and white eyes cold and sharp.

"Let her go," she said.

Lu Qi heard the girl's voice for the first time; like her petite and fair appearance, it was crisp and clear, like a bird's song.

The author's note: Swallow only appears a few times in each dungeon to make its presence known and to remind everyone that it exists.

The Shi character appears even less often, basically only there to distribute settlement rewards.

One of them can be considered the male protagonist's cheat code, and the other can be considered the female protagonist's cheat code. They are used to showcase the world view, or you can treat them as the system.
