Hatred
"Then why did you give birth to my child?" Cui Heng said, looking at her almost pleadingly, wanting to get the answer he wanted from her mouth. Even if she said she hated him because of the puppet Gu, it would be better than her not caring about him at all. He was willing to be used by her.
"If not, why would you help me?" Wang Xiaoxia replied coldly. She looked up at his pitiful eyes, reached out and gently stroked the hair at his temples, revealing a fake, charming smile.
Cui Heng was truly enraged by her. He grabbed her arm, causing her to stumble and fall, her stomach pressing against him. He looked down and glared at her angrily.
His hot breath sprayed on her face, and she looked back at him without fear. Their eyes met, and the two of them were secretly competing with each other.
"Did you really do those things on purpose?" Cui Heng asked, staring into her eyes.
"Which ones? Using Muhe? Forcing her to commit suicide? Or stealing Wuyan?" Wang Xiaoxia said confidently, even with a smile on his face.
It turns out that she really did it on purpose, so from the moment they reunited, she was just using him.
“Ke Muhe has never hurt you,” Cui Heng said, looking at her with a hint of grievance in his eyes.
He suddenly felt as if he didn't recognize her anymore. She used to never take life lightly, much less be so indifferent.
"What did the eldest prince of the demon race do a hundred years ago? Did he deserve to die just because he obtained the Soul-Suppressing Cauldron? What about Cang Ze? The real Cang Ze, just because he is Qiong Cang's child?" Wang Xiaoxia asked back, staring intently into Cui Heng's eyes.
Cui Heng suddenly released his grip, his gaze shifting away. He lowered his head, unsure of what to say. Yes! Wasn't he also a ruthless executioner?
"Cui Heng, where is your sense of righteousness? You say you are innocent, but what about me? Do you know how many times I have died in the past hundred years!" Wang Xiaoxia suddenly shouted angrily, venting his dissatisfaction and resentment.
Why should she be expected to be kind? Why should she give up everything to go with him? His so-called righteousness is nothing more than putting a knife to someone else's throat to seek peace for himself. How come he can stand having that knife held to someone else's throat but can't bear it when it's held to his own?
She raised her hand, and a gentle breeze arose. Countless blood-red petals gathered in her palm. With a forceful grasp, the petals instantly transformed into a blood-red sword. She grabbed the sword and thrust it fiercely towards Cui Heng!
Cui Heng did not dodge. The sword pierced through Cui Heng's chest and then turned into flower petals and disappeared. Blood gushed out immediately, and Cui Heng felt his legs go weak and he fell into a pool of blood.
Wang Xiao squatted down and placed her hand above the bloody wound. The blood flowed upward and condensed into a huge blood ball in mid-air. Countless petals flew out from her palm and enveloped the blood ball. Finally, the blood ball rolled smaller and smaller until it disappeared into Wang Xiao's sleeve.
Suddenly, some flowers and plants sprouted beneath Cui Heng. Despite being pressed down by his enormous body, Wang Xiaoxia managed to stop the bleeding with her spiritual power. Once the bleeding stopped, the flowers and plants also disappeared.
He remained staring blankly at Wang Xiaoxia, even though she wanted to kill him, he still reached out to grab her hand. But she pulled her hand away, stood up, and coldly looked at Cui Heng, saying only:
Thank you so much!
So she left without looking back, leaving Cui Heng lying on the ground staring at her, his heart filled with mixed feelings.
After the court session ended, the Bad Guys were blocked by Cang Ze as soon as they returned to the Demon King's Palace.
"Who exactly are you?" Cang Ze asked, staring into the eyes of the Bad Guys.
The man in question smiled faintly and replied:
"What? You failed to kill me, and now you're questioning my identity?"
Cang Ze was stunned. This person actually knew about this matter. He must have been following them all along. Why hadn't Cui Heng noticed? Besides Cui Heng, there was another person skilled at using scent, and that was Wang Xiaoxia! This person must be Wang Xiaoxia's man, and the only people in this world who hated him were Wang Xiaoxia and that person. That person! It must be him!
"It's you!" Cang Ze glared at him fiercely, clearly recognizing him.
"Haha! My son, you won't even call me father anymore?" The bad guy laughed loudly without any attempt to hide his laughter when he realized that he had been recognized.
Cang Ze was so angry that his face turned pale. He gritted his teeth and glared at the Bad Guys. He stretched out his hand, and a long sword suddenly appeared in his hand. He raised the sword and slashed at the Bad Guys!
The villain immediately dodged, and a long sword appeared in his hand as he fought with Cang Ze.
When Wang Xiaoxia returned, the two were still locked in a fierce battle. Seeing their intense fight, Wang Xiaoxia rushed over and, taking advantage of Cang Ze's momentary lapse in attention, kicked him hard in the back. Caught off guard, Cang Ze was sent flying, staggering and falling to the ground. He turned around, looked at the heavily pregnant Wang Xiaoxia, and suddenly laughed:
"I didn't expect you to be so strong!"
Now that everyone has revealed their true colors, they get along much better than before.
“It’s not enough to kill you,” Wang Xiaoxia said with a smile, and walked lightly to the front of the Bad Guys.
"Then you'll have to practice more!" Cang Ze laughed, standing up and shaking off the dust.
The other side has more people and is more powerful. If he stays, he won't gain any advantage. Rather than engaging in a futile fight, he should go back and make other plans!
"I will let you go today, until we meet again!" he said, then turned and ran away.
Wang Xiaoxia did not chase after him. Even if she and the two Bad Guys joined forces, they might not be able to kill Cang Ze, not to mention that he also had a demon beast, Bai Ze, by his side.
"Have you found him?" The Bad Guys asked hastily, only concerned with the whereabouts of the fierce beast.
“No, but I obtained Bai Ze’s heart’s blood. Now all that’s missing is the Soul-Suppressing Cauldron,” Wang Xiaoxia said.
“The blood from the heart can only be preserved for one day at most after leaving the body. Even with the protection of your other shore flower, it can only be preserved for seven days. What should we do if we cannot find the Soul-Suppressing Cauldron within seven days?” Bad Guy asked with a frown.
"It's alright, we can just draw blood again," Wang Xiaoxia said nonchalantly.
Cui Heng is thick-skinned and tough; a little blood won't kill him.
“Since the Soul-Suppressing Cauldron was Mu He’s dowry, Wu Huan would definitely not bring it back to the Demon Realm after all the effort he went through to obtain it. It must still be in the Ghost Realm,” Wang Xiaoxia analyzed seriously.
"What if I transformed into Wu Huan and went to the Ghost Realm?" the Bad Guys pondered.
“Wu Huan must have gone back this time. If you go back and run into him, wouldn’t you be like a lamb entering a tiger’s den? Let’s rest for a day and make plans tomorrow!” Wang Xiaoxia thought to herself. Now that she had relaxed, she suddenly felt tired again.
The villain looked at her protruding belly and sighed helplessly:
“Aohun’s fate is unknown. Tonight, I’ll go to the Ghost Realm to investigate first,” the Bad Guys insisted.
"Don't linger in battle. If you are discovered, return immediately!" Wang Xiaoxia hurriedly instructed, fearing that he might act rashly if he encountered Wu Huan.
The villain suddenly laughed. He was surprised that a ghost who had lived for over a thousand years could be worried about by a mere mortal.
"Don't worry!" the Bad Guy replied before flying away.
When Wang Xiaoxia dragged his tired body back to the room, he smelled a strong stench of blood outside the door. The smell was mixed with a familiar scent, which belonged to none other than Aohun!
"Husband?" Wang Xiaoxia called out tentatively as she opened the door. She carefully closed the door and quietly walked into the house.
The strong smell of blood suggests he was seriously injured.
The smell of blood grew stronger. Aohun sat on the edge of the bed with his head down, two of his horns broken off. He didn't speak, and bright red blood dripped from the corner of his clothes onto the ground, making a pattering sound.
Wang Xiaoxia hurriedly ran over to check, but the fierce beast, still staring wide-eyed, suddenly reached out and grabbed Wang Xiaoxia by the neck. Wang Xiaoxia's face immediately turned red, and she hurriedly patted the fierce beast's arm, saying breathlessly, "It's me, Lian'er!"
The fierce man loosened his grip slightly. He glared, his eyes bloodshot, and asked in a low voice:
Are you also from Cangze?
The feeling of suffocation wasn't so intense anymore, and Wang Xiaoxia breathed a sigh of relief. He then said, "If I were one of his men, I would have left with him by now. Why would I stay here waiting for you to kill me?"
Upon hearing this, Aohen released his grip, and seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.
"I'm sorry, Lian'er, I shouldn't have doubted you," he said, his head bowed and panting.
He was exhausted and extremely weak. When Cang Ze and Cui Heng joined forces to knock him down from the Two Realms Cliff, he desperately grabbed onto a rock on the cliff face, breaking off his horn in the process. He struggled to climb out of the abyss, severely injured. He thought that if even Cui Heng was Cang Ze's man, then the demon realm would surely have its own spies! Suddenly, he didn't know who to trust or where to go. In the end, only one thought remained in his mind: to see Wang Xiaoxia. So he quietly returned.
After being released, Wang Xiaoxia collapsed to the ground, panting heavily. She gently rubbed her neck; although Aohen hadn't hit her hard, it was still red from being pinched because her skin was so delicate.
"Are you alright?" Aohen asked with concern, though he himself was panting heavily due to weakness.
"I'm fine, just lie down and let me see your injury," Wang Xiaoxia said.
Aohen was indeed exhausted. He obediently lay down, and as soon as his tense nerves relaxed, he closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep. Wang Xiaoxia had no choice but to take off his clothes to check him. His body was covered with wounds, big and small, the most serious of which was the one on his chest. Fortunately, his cultivation was high enough and the knife was off by half an inch, otherwise he might have really died.
That night, Wang Xiaoxia busied herself alone in the room. She first cleaned Aohen's wounds and then transferred some spiritual energy to him. Her own spiritual energy was not high, and the amount she could transfer to him was very limited, but it was enough to stop the bleeding. The Bad People would not be able to return until the morning, so Wang Xiaoxia sat by Aohen's bedside and guarded him.
