Having a child

Having a child

"You're about to give birth!" Aohen gently stroked Wang Xiaoxia's belly and said softly.

"It's still early!" Wang Xiaoxia said with a smile, looking down at her lower abdomen. The little guy could kick her every now and then and was very lively.

She quickly raised her head again, revealing a charming smile, and handed Wu Yan to Ao Hen, saying:

"This is the Faceless Sword. My husband can use it to defeat the Qingyi tribe!"

She didn't take out the Soul-Suppressing Cauldron. Aohen knew that she would only put on such a fawning smile when she needed something from him. However, since she had found the cauldron herself, it was only natural for her to use it.

He reached out and took the Soul-Suppressing Cauldron from Wu Yan, saying, "You may use the Soul-Suppressing Cauldron! However, since it is an ancient artifact, you must be careful when using it and avoid being injured by it."

"I will be careful. How is my husband's health? Is he still able to attend the morning court?" Wang Xiaoxia asked with concern, her face beaming with joy at having obtained the Soul-Suppressing Cauldron.

“It’s alright. Now that we have the war against the Wuyan Qingyi tribe, we should prepare in advance. I may have to go out for a while. You must be careful in everything you do at home,” Aohen instructed with concern.

The war against Qingyi must be resolved quickly, otherwise it will be difficult to deal with them if Cangze forms an alliance with them and grows his power!

"Don't worry, my husband, as long as you are safe, I am safe!" Wang Xiaoxia said.

"Hmm," Aohen nodded, reaching out to pull Wang Xiaoxia into his arms, and Wang Xiaoxia obediently let him hold her.

Before his injuries had healed, Aohun rushed off to war. With Wuyan's help, the battle was much easier than before. However, due to the interference of the Ghost Realm, the fighting dragged on for two or three months. Aohun did not return until Wang Xiaoxia was about to give birth.

Wang Xiaoxia has been in the Demon Realm all this time. While Aohen was away, she used the Soul-Suppressing Cauldron and Cui Heng's blood to forge a blood-red sword, waiting to use it to kill Cang Ze during the great battle with the Ghost Realm.

Meanwhile, Cang Ze and Cui Heng had been busy secretly helping the Qingyi tribe fight against the Aohun, so no one had time to take care of a woman who was about to give birth. The Bad People had been taking over the management of the demon realm in place of the Aohun, and the demon realm was relatively stable. Wang Xiaoxia was able to focus on her pregnancy until she gave birth.

On the day Wang Xiaoxia gave birth, a strange phenomenon occurred. The originally clear demon realm suddenly began to snow, and countless bluebirds flew towards the northern border. Cui Heng, who was at war, found this sight strange and couldn't help but ask Cang Ze beside him:

"Wu Huan, this bluebird is not a bird from the northern border, so why has it flown here?"

Cang Ze was also somewhat surprised. He suddenly remembered that Wang Xiaoxia had the bloodline of the Bluebird Clan, so he said:

"The Bluebird Clan once served as messengers, and my daughter has Bluebird Clan blood. Judging by the time, she should be about to give birth! Aohun is here; he's probably here to deliver the message!"

Cui Heng was suddenly jolted. Yes! He had been so engrossed in battle these past few days that he had completely forgotten the day she gave birth!

Cang Ze looked up at the bluebird, only to see it circling above their heads, refusing to leave. He asked, somewhat puzzled:

"Why is the bluebird no longer flying east? Could it be that the fierce beast has come here?"

"Oh no!" Cui Heng thought to himself. He hadn't expected the child to attract the bluebird to deliver the message. Looking at the bluebird, he quickly said, "I'll go ahead and scout. You wait for me here!"

“Alright,” Cang Ze replied.

Cui Heng immediately flew to where the fierce beast was. Cang Ze looked up and saw that after Cui Heng left, the blue bird also followed him eastward. He couldn't help but frown and a doubt arose in his heart.

The fierce beast was still guarding the camp when it suddenly saw the bluebird flying over. It felt strange, thinking that the bluebird clan had once lived in the land of the ghost clan, and that Cang Ze had secretly helped the other side. It thought that Cang Ze had lured the bluebird over as some kind of illusion, so it told everyone in the army to be careful and did not think of anything else.

Seeing that Aohen hadn't connected the dots, Cui Heng thought that perhaps Xiaoxia hadn't yet revealed his true identity to Aohen, and he became increasingly worried about Wang Xiaoxia.

Every production process is a brush with death, and the more Cui Heng thought about it, the more worried he became. He could no longer care about the previous estrangement between the two of them and hurriedly went to the demon realm to visit Xiao Xia.

Wang Xiaoxia lay alone on the bed, writhing in excruciating pain. The veins on her forehead bulged, and she clenched her teeth, afraid to utter a sound lest anyone discover she was about to give birth. When the officials returned after finishing their business at court, she was delirious with pain, gripping the bed curtains tightly, her teeth clenched as she strained alone.

"I'll go find a midwife!" the bad guy said hurriedly when he saw her like this.

Wang Xiaoxia grabbed his hand and said through gritted teeth, "We can't look for people from the demon realm unless Wang Yue comes. I saw that it's snowing outside. It's winter, so snowing is easy to explain. But if I give birth to a white-haired monster, how am I supposed to silence everyone?"

"If you die, will the mouths of the people be silenced?" Cui Heng's voice suddenly came from the doorway.

Wang Xiaoxia was startled and the Bad Guys quickly stood up to stop him, saying:

What are you doing here?!

He was dressed in white, his hair was silver-white, and his pupils shone with a faint emerald green light, like a noble young master. He had rushed from the northern border, covered in snow, and the opening of the door brought in a bit of cold air. He quickly closed the door to warm the room a little, and said softly:

"I am the child's father, how could I not come?"

The villain knew about his relationship with Wang Xiaoxia, so he had no choice but to take a step back and look at Wang Xiaoxia, seeking her opinion.

At this moment, Wang Xiaoxia was in so much pain that she couldn't care less about anything else. She frowned, her face contorted in agony, and asked only one question:

Has anyone spotted you?

"No," Cui Heng replied, and hurriedly walked to Wang Xiaoxia's side and grabbed her hand.

All her unhappiness seemed insignificant in the face of life and death; she needed him now, more than ever before.

The two looked into each other's eyes, and Wang Xiaoxia couldn't help but cry out in grievance. Cui Heng gently wiped away her tears, his own eyes glistening with a pained look as he gazed at her.

Seeing this, the ruffians wisely withdrew and quietly stood guard at the door. Wang Xiaoxia lay on the bed, tightly gripping Cui Heng's hand, her face filled with pain and grievance.

Cui Heng didn't know anything about childbirth techniques, so he could only use his magic to alleviate some of her pain. With Cui Heng by her side, Wang Xiaoxia felt much more at ease, and after a while, she finally gave birth to a baby boy.

The child's cry was quite loud. As soon as he was born, the snow outside stopped, and the entire demon realm was once again bathed in clear skies. Cui Heng held him tightly in his arms. The child stared blankly at his father, looking at his emerald green eyes and silvery-white hair, which seemed to be a carbon copy of Cui Heng's. Only his small mouth and chin resembled Xiao Xia's.

"Xiaoxia! Look, our child!" Cui Heng said, almost crying with joy, his eyes filled with tears as he looked at Wang Xiaoxia with heartache.

Wang Xiaoxia smiled faintly, weakly reaching out to the baby in the swaddling clothes to gently stroke his tender little face. Her eyes were bloodshot from the effort, and she looked exhausted.

"What a troublesome little monster," she said.

Cui Heng held the child, seemingly unable to get enough of looking at her. He then looked at Wang Xiaoxia, intending to persuade her to leave the demon realm with him, but ultimately couldn't bring himself to say it.

At this moment, the villain walked in and only reminded him, "The child is crying, and the people from the demon realm will be here soon. You need to hurry!"

After he finished speaking, he left, feeling sorry for both Wang Xiaoxia and the child.

Cui Heng still looked at his child with reluctance, but now he had to part with him. He pressed his face close to the child's small face, feeling the child's warm body temperature. He had no choice but to steel his heart and reach out to Wang Xiaoxia, saying, "Where is the thing I gave you?"

Wang Xiaoxia knew what he was talking about. She reached out from under the covers and handed the blood-red bead to Cui Heng. Cui Heng took it, hardened his heart, and transformed the child into a form that resembled the fierce and ruthless Ao.

“He will only reveal his true appearance when the Disguise Bead leaves his body, so don’t worry!” Cui Heng said.

His gaze never left the child, his first child, born to the woman he loved.

"Okay," Wang Xiaoxia replied. She closed her eyes, and a tear slid down her cheek and into her hair, disappearing in an instant.

Cui Heng arrived in the Northern Territory a step ahead of the news from the Demon Realm. Cang Ze had been waiting for him. When he came in, some snow had blown in, and his silver-white hair was covered with snow.

"You're back," Cang Ze said first.

"Hmm," Cui Heng replied with his head down, without saying anything more, neither hiding anything nor explaining.

Cui Heng's attitude further convinced Cang Ze of his previous guess. Perhaps the child in Wang Xiaoxia's womb was not that fierce one, but Cui Heng's. Thinking about it this way, everything made sense. Why did Cui Heng look like he was dying when Wang Xiaoxia died, and why did he seem unsurprised when he saw Wang Xiaoxia's resurrection? Cui Heng probably knew and loved Wang Xiaoxia long ago.

"Why has my brother been gone for so long?" Cang Ze finally asked.

Cui Heng raised his eyes to look at Cang Ze. His emerald green eyes seemed even colder in this frigid place. Cang Ze suddenly dared not meet his gaze. He was afraid, afraid that the speculations would be revealed by Cui Heng.

“I went to visit Xiaoxia; she gave birth,” Cui Heng said frankly.

He had kept it a secret for so long, loving his woman like a rat living underground. That feeling made him feel wronged and as if he could never see the light of day. So he suddenly didn't want to hide it anymore. He loved Wang Xiaoxia more than anything else.

Cang Ze suddenly didn't dare to face Cui Heng. He lowered his head and asked, "When did you two meet?"

“From the first time she came to the Ghost Realm, she met me by chance, Wu Huan. I love her, I love her more than you do,” Cui Heng said frankly.
