Only after Aohen left did Cui Heng's true colors gradually emerge. With his back to Wang Xiaoxia, his expression grew cold as he muttered:

What happened to your neck?

Wang Xiaoxia snorted coldly, slowly turned around and sat back down in front of the dressing table, instead asking:

What business is it of yours what we, as husband and wife, do?

Her words were clearly meant to provoke him, and Cui Heng was indeed furious, his face turning ashen. He was enraged that the person who had been intimate with him not long ago had now fallen into someone else's arms in such a short time! He was consumed by jealousy, and he turned around, pulled Wang Xiaoxia up from the chair, and glared at her angrily while holding her in his arms.

Wang Xiaoxia was captured and unable to move. He couldn't help but look towards the door. Oh no! Because he wanted to give the Bad Guys an official position to facilitate future matters, the Bad Guys returned to Wangyue Pavilion in the morning to wait for the Demon King's envoy. The servants at the door also left with the Demon King. The only maid left was Lan Ge, who was still confused and only obeyed orders. She was also ordered to do other things. At this moment, only Wang Xiaoxia and Cui Heng were left.

"You are husband and wife with him, so what am I to you?" Cui Heng asked, bringing his face closer.

The sweltering heat hit Wang Xiaoxia's face, and his fierce gaze made her lower her eyes and look away in a panic.

"What else could it be but an affair!" she muttered stubbornly.

Cui Heng's face turned even paler. He felt like a worm living in the shadows, unable to see the light. He breathed heavily and tightened his grip.

"Ouch!" Wang Xiaoxia couldn't help but frown.

She raised her head reproachfully, only to meet Cui Heng's angry gaze. She tried to look away, but Cui Heng sealed her mouth with his hot lips. His warm breath on her face seemed to be accusing him of his resentment. He rubbed her hard, holding the annoying little girl tightly in his arms, and they became entangled in each other's embrace.

After the passion subsided, Wang Xiaoxia and Cui Heng sat on the floor by the bed. Cui Heng lowered his head and smoothed the wrinkles in his clothes until they were smooth before he breathed a sigh of relief.

Even though the bed was large, neither of them wanted to touch it.

"I don't smell your scent on this bed. Did you not sleep all night?" Cui Heng said calmly.

He said this with a smug look on his face. Although Wang Xiaoxia verbally belittled him as a lover, her body never betrayed him.

In reality, he knew that Wang Xiaoxia was a person of high moral character, and even though he didn't believe she would submit to that old monster, he was still furious because of her words.

"Your nose is incredibly sensitive, even more so than mine," Wang Xiaoxia said with a nonchalant smile.

“I am good at tracking, you are good at discerning; we are not the same in essence,” Cui Heng simply said.

"Cui Heng, take me out for a walk! I don't like it here," Wang Xiaoxia said, her eyes lowered.

She disliked ruthlessness and didn't like to deliberately flatter him, even though those words would disgust her. But she had no choice; she had no foundation and could only achieve her goals by relying on the strong.

"Okay," Cui Heng replied gently, then concealed their presence and led her to a secluded place.

The scenery here is beautiful, with endless mountains and fields as far as the eye can see. This place is located at the boundary between the demon realm and the human realm. The gentle light shines on Wang Xiaoxia's face, making her feel warm. She hasn't felt warmth in a long time. She sits on the grass and rests her head on Cui Heng's shoulder. Cui Heng is usually taciturn, but he is even quieter now.

"Cui Heng, what is Wu Yan?" Wang Xiaoxia asked first.

Cui Heng frowned slightly:

You shouldn't ask these questions.

"What is it?" Wang Xiaoxia persisted.

Cui Heng sighed helplessly and looked into the distance:

"A magical artifact, which, according to legend, was used by Nuwa when she created humans. It can change a person's appearance at will without anyone noticing."

"Why would Aohun want such a divine artifact?" Wang Xiaoxia asked, puzzled.

“There is a tribe in the north called Qingyi. They have blue faces and blue eyes and are descendants of merfolk. Merfolk are skilled in water. In the past, when Aohun fought with the Qingyi tribe, he was injured by them. Muhe’s mother died because of this. Aohun has been holding a grudge ever since. However, he has been unable to conquer the Qingyi tribe because they are good at changing their appearance. Every time they fight, they can’t distinguish friend from foe. A few years ago, Aohun learned that the ancient artifact Wuyan had appeared in the world. Wuyan can change a person’s appearance and also turn the person into their original form. So Aohun has been searching for it.” Cui Heng explained.

Wang Xiaoxia nodded blankly. Although demons and ghosts possess magical powers, they emit a faint light when using magic to change their appearance. Anyone with a higher cultivation level can easily detect this. Furthermore, not everyone knows such high-level magic. Ordinary soldiers do not know it, so the transformation technique is only suitable for deceiving those with low cultivation levels who cannot transform. However, the mermaids have mermaid pearls inside their bodies that can conceal their light, so their transformations are not easily detected. This magical artifact is indeed useful.

She leaned on Cui Heng's shoulder, her eyelids too heavy to lift. A gentle breeze blew, and the occasional calls of birds and animals filled the air, creating a tranquil atmosphere that lulled her to sleep.

"Xiaoxia, I'm sorry. I've ruined you over the past century. If we ever meet again, I'd rather die by your hand," Cui Heng murmured. Knowing she was asleep, he sat upright until she woke up.

When Aohen returned in the afternoon, Wang Xiaoxia was already sitting in the room waiting for him, with Lan Ge quietly standing by and serving him.

"Where did you go today? Did you have a good time?" Aohen asked Wang Xiaoxia with a gentle expression.

"His Highness took me fishing. Try this; I caught it myself," Wang Xiao said with a grin, picking up a piece of fish and feeding it to Aohen.

The fierce beast was naturally delighted, even pretending to taste it a few times, and said with a smile:

"The fish caught by the lady herself are naturally delicious. I had no idea there were fish in this back garden?"

"Yes! There are fish in the pond behind!" Wang Xiaoxia said with an innocent and certain expression.

This puzzled Aohen, who looked at his attendant beside him and bowed, replying:

"It is a spirit fish raised by the princess. It was a fish fry given to her by the late crown prince in her early years because she missed the late queen. He only told her that the fish was the spirit of the late queen. So the princess has taken good care of it for many years. Although the princess knew in her heart that the fish was just an ordinary spirit fish after she grew up, she still took good care of it because of the late crown prince's legacy."

"Damn it!" the fierce-looking man muttered to himself, then turned to Wang Xiaoxia and asked:

Did anyone see you while you were fishing?

"I don't know!" Wang Xiaoxia replied with innocent eyes.

Just then, the door was suddenly pushed open with such force that both doors fell to the ground with a loud 'bang'.

As the dust settled, Mu He stood angrily on the door, pointing at Wang Xiaoxia and cursing:

"Witch! How dare you try to lure me in!"

Wang Xiaoxia was so frightened that he stood up and timidly hid behind the fierce-looking Aohun, not daring to speak.

Aohen stepped forward and immediately smiled ingratiatingly:

“He’er, your mother is new here and doesn’t know that it’s the spirit fish you raised. I’ve already spoken to her about it.”

"She is not my mother! Father, don't stop me, you witch! You hurt my spirit fish, I will take your life today!" Mu He said angrily, holding a whip in her hand and gathering spiritual power as if she would kill Wang Xiaoxia in the next second.

"Princess, please forgive me! I only wanted to please His Majesty and did not know that it was your pet spirit fish," Wang Xiaoxia explained, hiding behind Aohen.

"Witch! Don't use my father as a shield. Today, I will teach you a lesson no matter what!" Mu He said, and suddenly lashed out with her whip, binding Wang Xiaoxia and throwing her into the air before slamming her heavily to the ground.

Wang Xiaoxia didn't dodge, letting her whip her like that. It took her a long time to painfully get up from the ground.

"He'er!" Aohen said angrily as soon as he saw Wang Xiaoxia being beaten.

"Father! She's a witch!" Mu He hadn't finished speaking when she heard a 'smack'.

Wang Xiaoxia stood in front of Mu He but was slapped to the ground by Ao Hen and covered his face with his hands.

"Madam!" Aohen was stunned and hurriedly squatted down to gently move Wang Xiaoxia's hand away. The bloody palm print was clearly visible.

Muhe looked at Aohen with surprise; this was the first time her father had ever hit her in all her life.

"Father, are you going to hit me? You're going to hit me for this vixen? Have you forgotten what you promised Mother before she died?" Mu He said aggrievedly, her eyes filled with great anger.

Because of Muhe's mother, Aohen has been patiently indulging her all these years, which has made her lawless!

"How dare you be so lawless! Do you even respect me as your father?!" Aohen ignored her and coldly shouted.

"Witch! Remember this, I'm not done with you!" Mu He said, feeling extremely wronged, tears streaming down her face, and she turned and ran away.

Aohen sighed heavily, and Wang Xiaoxia gently stroked his hand, softly comforting him:

"My husband, please don't be angry. It's all my fault."

"Lian'er, you are so kind and gentle. It is my blessing to marry you," Ao said fiercely, reaching out to gently stroke the palm print on Wang Xiaoxia's face.

Wang Xiaoxia obediently turned her head to let him stroke her, as soft as a cat.

"Go and summon that wretched child! Why did he take the Queen fishing for no reason? Doesn't he know where those fish come from?" Aohen turned and whispered to the servant behind him.

"Yes," the servant replied and left.

Wang Xiaoxia raised her head, her eyes filled with tears, and said:

"It is my fault. I wanted to go fishing, it has nothing to do with Your Highness. Husband, please do not let me ruin the harmony between father and son."

The fierce-looking man gently stroked Xiaoxia's face and said:

"It's none of your business."

Cui Heng was completely baffled by the question. They had just returned, and he had never taken Wang Xiao to go fishing.

When he entered the room, he immediately saw Lan Ge standing there. Her figure and back view were quite similar to Wang Xiaoxia's. He suddenly realized that the fish was caught by this woman and that she had deliberately done it in front of Mu He.

"You wretched child! Who told you to take your wife fishing for no reason!" Aohen asked Cui Heng as soon as he saw him.

Cui Heng looked at Wang Xiaoxia, but his eyes immediately fell on her swollen face. He frowned and ultimately accepted the situation.

“It’s my son’s fault. He thought there were just ordinary fish in the water,” Cui Heng said, bowing his head.

In the end, Aohen didn't say much, after all, it was just a fish, but Muhe's declaration of being an enemy of Wang Xiaoxia had left a mark on his mind.
