Chapter 165 Fish Disease

"If I'm the chosen one, then I can definitely do it." Richard looked away, not wanting to meet her eyes. "After all, the reason I was so patient was simply because the way you looked at the stern was a bit like me back then."

He said, "I thought you were going to jump."

It turns out that the old friend he was talking about was actually himself.

Song Shixin didn't explain anything. She couldn't possibly have jumped. She was just panicking at the time. Speaking of which, the source of all her panic...

“Where’s the woman in pink?” she asked Richard. “I don’t see her here.”

"Didn't she die a long time ago?" Richard asked with a smile.

Song Shixin frowned. This man clearly knew that he was not asking about the woman's life or death, so he deliberately didn't say it.

He didn't say anything, and Song Shixin was too annoyed to continue asking, so he simply changed the question: "What else is under this boat?"

Richard answered this question normally: "Captain's cabin."

Song Shixin decided to go and take a look, so she asked Richard if he was still going to stay here. She was about to leave.

Richard pointed her in a direction and waved his hand, signaling her to go as she pleased.

Song Shixin took one last look at Richard and the monsters, then left neatly.

Following the direction Richard pointed her, Song Shixin successfully walked to the captain's room.

The captain's room was very spacious, and it was only then that she realized that the captain's room and the wheelhouse of this cruise ship were not in the same place.

The captain's room was more like a private space belonging to Richard. As soon as Song Shixin walked in, she smelled smoke, but it was not the smell of tobacco.

She glanced at the remaining items on the table, roughly understanding what they were, and couldn't help frowning.

There was a huge map in the captain's room. Song Shixin looked at it carefully and it took him a while to understand that the messy dots and lines on it seemed to mark several different routes.

The routes were a bit confusing, but the destination was the same. It wasn't the so-called fairy island, but another continent, probably where the people who were "doing business" with Richard were.

Song Shixin tore off the huge map and spread it on the ground. He simply knelt on the ground and used his fingers to carefully confirm the direction of each route.

After several comparisons, she found that there were a total of 12 routes marked on this map, but none of them passed through the Serpent Strait!

What does this mean?

Song Shixin's hand fell on the map, and the rough touch of the paper made people feel uneasy.

She licked her lips, got up from the ground, and searched the cabinets and boxes inside. The more she searched, the more she found the problem.

So clean!

Most of the boxes and cabinets were empty. The only things left, besides some of Richard's clothes, were some handwritten receipts, which were proof of "shipment" and "receipt", and some wine.

In the entire captain's room, this is the only map that can be said to be related to navigation. Isn't this strange enough?

Boom...

While Song Shixin was quickly thinking about the reason, a dull sound suddenly came from outside, as if something had started running.

She hurried out the door. The noise continued and could be heard more clearly outside.

Song Shixin hurriedly ran towards the place where the monsters were previously imprisoned. The sound of her footsteps echoed clearly in the interior space of the ship.

The door was locked by Richard.

Song Shixin pulled it and after making sure there was no way to move it, he lay down on it to listen to the movement inside.

The sound came from inside. Song Shixin listened carefully and could hear the friction sound of the gears turning. She was sure that Richard had activated some mechanism.

She banged on the door several times. "Richard?! Are you in there?! Richard!"

No response, maybe the person has left.

Song Shixin frowned and rubbed his red palms. He had slapped quite hard just now.

She didn't see any obvious lock on the door, so she didn't know how the other party locked it. Maybe there was some mechanism or something?

The mechanical and metallic sounds continued, but they were gradually becoming fainter.

Song Shixin guessed that the mechanism was about to reach the end, but at the same time, another sound that had been covered up was revealed - the sound of flowing water.

Her brows furrowed even more tightly, as if she had been frowning ever since she boarded the ship.

Song Shixin remembered everything inside clearly. The liquid was not flowing at all, so how could there be a sound of water flowing? Her first thought was that there might be a passage inside, and Richard opened the mechanism that opened that passage.

She had clearly observed the cylindrical container, but the pipes on it converged upward to other places and should not have produced such a sound of flowing water.

After eliminating all these options, the only possibility left is that there is something fishy in that rectangular "big box".

Click.

As the sound of the gears completely disappeared, Song Shixin heard the door make a crisp sound. She pulled the door again, and this time it opened. The mechanism reached the end, and the locked door automatically unlocked.

Song Shixin opened the door without hesitation and entered the experimental space again.

Facing several empty containers, Song Shixin knew that while she was studying the map in the captain's room, the other "corpses" had already completed Richard's "experiment".

She walked closer to the big box, and sure enough, there was no water inside. Naturally, the monsters also disappeared, and the circular passage hidden at the bottom was completely exposed.
