Chapter 185 How I Died

The room was filled with the screams and cries of children.

Qian Xingxing and the other two were simply unable to cope with those invisible creatures. They were toyed with by them like cats and dogs. They could protect one child but not the other, and their own safety was not guaranteed either.

After wiping the blood from the broken forehead, Zi Bai reached out to protect the child behind him.

This bizarre farce lasted for an unknown amount of time. Several children had sprained wrists and feet, and everyone had injuries of varying sizes on their faces and bodies.

However, Nan Peng couldn't break the door open no matter how hard he tried. The window closed automatically and couldn't be broken even if he smashed it. All their ways of escape were blocked.

"Ah!" A child who had hidden under the bed was suddenly dragged out by his legs. He screamed and kicked his legs, and his chin was rubbed against the floor.

Qian Xingxing rushed over to grab the child. He was almost experienced in snatching things and knew that the first thing to do was to cut off the contact between the invisible objects and the child, so he kicked the air.

He snatched the child back into his arms, gasping for breath. As time passed, Qian Xingxing gradually realized one thing: these invisible things did not seem to have the intention of directly harming their lives.

So he kept thinking, what would their real purpose be?

Boom——

A deafening thunder outside the house attracted everyone's attention. The messy objects floating in the room fell like rain. Fortunately, they were not big things and would not kill anyone.

Only then did everyone realize that the sky outside had been covered with dark clouds. Thunder roared like drums and lightning struck fiercely, but upon closer inspection, there was not a trace of rain.

The strong wind blew the leaves off the trees in the yard. Nan Peng was the first to notice that there was no movement in the house, so he immediately went forward and turned the door handle that had been deformed by him.

This time, the door opened easily.

"You finally came out!" Minghui looked at them in surprise. He found that they all had injuries of varying degrees on their faces and bodies. He quickly asked, "What happened?"

Zi Bai and Qian Xingxing took the children out first. They carried the child who sprained his foot out and put him on a chair first.

Nan Peng wiped the sweat off his face and said, "I don't know what's causing this trouble in there. Is everything alright outside?"

Minghui shook his head. "We couldn't hear a single sound from inside you. No matter how we called out, you didn't respond."

"Where is the dean?" Qian Xingxing comforted several children and walked over with a serious expression.

"In there." Minghui looked warily in the direction of the closed room. The others immediately understood what he meant. Zibai frowned slightly.

"Let's leave here first." Qian Xingxing glanced at the children, "At least move them away first?"

Everyone had no objection. Faced with things that could not be explained by science, the natural thing to do was to leave quickly.

Carrying the child with limited mobility on his back, Nan Peng rushed to open the door first, but as soon as the door opened, a strong wind rushed in, sweeping him away and making him stagger, almost falling to the ground with the child.

"This wind..." Qian Xingxing reached out to support him. After the strong wind passed, the door closed by itself with a bang, which reminded him of his experience in that room not long ago.

Sure enough, the next second, all the light bulbs in the room popped and shattered. The electric light struggled for a few times before finally going out.

Without the lights and with dark clouds outside, the whole room suddenly became at least eight degrees darker. Although it was not so dark that you couldn't see your hand in front of you, it greatly affected your vision.

"Woo..." The children were afraid of the dark, so Zibai asked Xiaoyi to take them to hide in the corner of the living room.

Snap, snap, snap.

In the dim environment, the only open door in the house was the door leading to the children's room, and at this moment, noises came from inside one after another.

The children suddenly fell silent, and fear made them tremble and huddle together. The oldest one, Xiao Yi, whispered, "Don't be afraid," "Don't be afraid."

The four adults all looked into the room. There was no light, so the mess in the room became blurry. Qian Xingxing could only barely make out that there seemed to be a child standing beside the bed.

It was only half the height of the lower bunk, with its head lowered and its hands moving up and down, patting a small rubber ball.

Snap, snap, snap.

The ball bounced back and forth between the child's hands and the ground. The thunder outside had stopped and the wind could not come in, so the sound of the ball filled the entire house.

"Gudong." The sound of Nan Peng swallowing his saliva was particularly obvious, but no one cared about him at this time. Everyone's attention was focused on the child who didn't speak and just lowered his head to kick the ball.

Zibai narrowed his eyes and asked, "What are you going to do?"

despair.

The ball slipped out of his hand, rolled out of the room, and rolled in front of him.

The child in the house finally moved. He slowly turned around and walked towards Zibai and the others.

Everyone stared at him, fearing that he would suddenly attack, but he just walked to the ball, then quietly bent down to pick it up, and then stood in front of Zibai without moving.

It didn't move, and no one else dared to move either. Only Xiao Yi looked at the ball in its arms and suddenly said, "Little melon?"

Click.

The sound made it raise its head quickly, and its neck made a crisp sound, as if a bone was broken.

This action finally allowed everyone to see its appearance: chubby cheeks and a watermelon head. Zibai, who was closest to it, could see clearly that there was a strange depression on its neck, as if it had been strangled for a long time.
