Chapter 186 What to Pray

The little ghost's hands were thin and cold, and felt like some kind of soft mud. It made people wonder if the flesh under the skin had rotted, and the sour and smelly juice and meat pieces were caught by the skin so that they would not flow everywhere.

Zibai tried hard to free his body, but these little ghosts looked thin but were very strong, leaving bruises on his hands and feet.

Xiaogua stood in front of Zibai, and the ball was no longer in his hand.

The kid holding Zibai's neck put his feet on his back and pinched his neck with his hands to make him tilt his head back. This action forced Zibai's jaw to open due to the pulling of his muscles.

He opened his mouth and Xiaogua squatted down. Zibai saw its eyeballs slowly being completely covered by black, and then it opened its mouth and spit out a puff of black smoke.

When Zi Bai saw the black smoke, he knew something was wrong. The veins on his neck were throbbing. He wanted to close his mouth, but the little ghost on his back clamped his neck.

Seeing the black smoke flying straight towards his mouth, Zi Bai's eyes showed annoyance. His mind was filled with what had happened in the past two days. He felt that he could have done better and would not be like this...

Zi Bai closed his eyes helplessly, thinking that he might as well die... But at this moment, a slight explosion sounded in the room. It was a very faint sound, but it immediately made the black smoke that had entered Zi Bai's mouth dissipate.

Xiaogua and the little ghosts didn't know what was happening. Suddenly they couldn't sense the adults. The six little ghosts made hissing and laughing sounds that Zibai couldn't understand, as if they were communicating something.

They could clearly feel their strength weakening. The five little ghosts holding Zibai could not even maintain their appearance. They squeaked and curled up into a ball, turning back into the shape of a ball.

Xiaogua stared at Zibai, who had regained his freedom, warily, took two steps back carefully, and let out a low growl, as if warning him not to move.

Zi Bai moved his hands and feet and it hurt. He had no doubt that if they continued to pinch his hands and feet with such great force, it would not take long before they would be broken.

But fortunately, the bloody scene did not happen. He didn't want to see his hands and feet separated from his body at all.

but……

Standing up again in embarrassment, he wondered why the black fog suddenly disappeared?

The five balls were still on the ground. Zibai took a look and found that the balls were a little deflated. Looking at the child Xiaogua, his figure seemed to become a little... blurry?

Like a flashlight with a dying battery, the beam of light gradually grew dimmer.

ah,

Zibai suddenly understood that their "batteries" were damaged.

His brain was working rapidly. If he were to think of something that could be called a "battery"... in this small orphanage, the only thing Zi Bai could think of was - that strange statue.

Raising his head, he looked straight at the statue sitting on the shrine.

Its mask seems to be missing a corner?

Zi Bai narrowed his eyes. His naked eye vision was very good, and he quickly confirmed that the mask on the statue's face was indeed missing a small corner.

I think the barely audible explosion sound that was heard in the house earlier came from here.

So, what caused the mask to shatter?

Did anyone else do something?

The other people that Zi Bai guessed were lying on the ground, gasping for breath.

The director's mother fell to the ground beside him, her tear-stained cheeks showing the fear that had not yet faded. Beside him, there was another figure lying, Minghui.

The person is no longer breathing.

Looking at Zibai and Nanpeng who were still standing in the living room like they had lost their souls, and then looking at the children who had fainted next to each other in the corner, Qian Xingxing clenched his numb hands.

Not far from his hand, there was a bone-chopping knife that was broken into two pieces. Just now, he used this thing to split a crack in the strange statue.

Time goes back to the past.

After they discovered the strange ball kid, everyone was haunted without realizing it.

Qian Xingxing was pulled back into the dream that was interrupted that night.

He saw his shadow holding his hand tightly, and a huge black figure emerged from the ground. He was the same height as him and his figure was also a copy and paste.

The shadow man grabbed the hand of his original body, and no facial features could be distinguished on his black face, but Qian Xingxing heard his own voice ringing in front of him.

"You killed her."

He subconsciously held his breath, because because of this sentence, his memory became particularly clear, but everything in front of him became blurry.

The shadow man in front of him changed shape. Qian Xingxing looked at the pure color and felt that his soul was about to be sucked in.

It is like a piece of black plasticine that can be molded into any shape. After being kneaded, it finally freezes into a small figure.

It’s Xiaoxue.

Although it was black, Qian Xingxing recognized it at once.

"Where's my hairpin?" Xiaoxue stretched out a hand towards him. The five black fingers did not look real, nor did they look like they could catch anything, but Qian Xingxing seemed to be possessed, and his brain could not think.

So he quickly took the small flower hairpin out of his pocket, held it in his hand and stretched it out.

Xiaoxue looked at the hairpin. The man's fingers holding it were trembling slightly, but for some reason, he did not let go of his fingers to let the hairpin fall into her palm.

So, she withdrew her outstretched hand, and without taking the hairpin, she looked at the hairpin and asked him: "Why do you have my hairpin?"
