Chapter 198 The Suicide Crow

"What 'pet' does the witch have?" Qiongzhi flipped back the book and found a description of the pets raised by the witch in the story.

Wax clay monsters, aphid spiders, straw worms...

"Aren't these all..." Childe said in surprise. These are the monsters they have encountered!

But, "If this story is based on true events, and the original philanthropist was not a witch, why do these monsters exist?"

Childe's question hit the four people's hearts like a hammer.

"Perhaps the story affected her." Renault guessed, "She was indeed just an ordinary person when she was alive."

But after her death, because of the stories written by these people, she really became a terrifying witch.

This is the most reasonable explanation.

"Then this diary..." Qiongzhi picked it up and examined it carefully, comparing it to a description in the book. "Its ability isn't exactly called predicting the future. It's probably a witch's cursed diary."

"She won't let any of us go!" Ni Jie nervously grabbed his short hair, and bit the dead skin on his lower lip with his teeth that had turned yellow from smoking. "Everyone in the town has disappeared, and next we will slowly disappear too..."

Although he looked a little crazy, Qiongzhi knew that what Ni Jie said was not wrong.

If this trend continues, they will eventually die at the hands of the witch.

"Can't we kill her?" Childe asked with a pale face.

"We..." Renault seemed to want to say something, but was interrupted by a bang behind him.

The four people's bodies shook at the same time, and they turned around in shock, facing the window stained with black and red blood.

"What is it?" Childe jumped out of his seat and walked to the window first, followed by Renault.

The two walked to the window, and Childe reached out to open it to see what was going on outside, but a hand came across in front of him faster and stopped him.

Childe frowned and was about to ask Renault what he was doing when a loud bang sounded in front of him the next second.

"Ah!" Childe was so frightened that he fell back to the ground. The loud crash was as if something had really hit his face.

Outside the window, a black crow slid across the window with its broken and twisted neck, leaving a long trail of blood, and then fell to the ground outside.

Lei Ze reached out and pulled Zier up, then pushed open the blood-stained window.

On the ground outside the window lay the corpses of two crows, their necks twisted and broken, their black beaks open, their eyes staring blankly, as if they had died with their eyes open.

Qiongzhi also came over to take a look, then asked Renault to close the window.

It would be bad enough if one crow flew over and hit someone to death, but now there are more than one. This is definitely not a normal thing, and it is definitely not a good thing.

With a click, the window closed again, and the bloodstains belonging to the crow on it showed signs of drying up.

Three people stood by the window looking at the sky outside. The heavy rain stopped suddenly, but the dark clouds did not disappear and still covered the town with darkness.

When they weren't paying attention, Ni Jie was staring at the diary on the table, which was still on the page of Ni Ye's story.

He reached out and gently turned the page of the diary, and saw blood-red words quietly emerging on the new page.

The library was exceptionally quiet. Ni Jie's eyes followed the slow movement of the bloody words, trembling from time to time.

He had bitten his lip, and a drop of blood had formed on the wound, forming a sharp contrast with his pale lips.

His name was clearly listed in the bloody diary.

Ni Jie's mind was buzzing as countless images flashed through his mind. One moment, it was the arrogant look of Fudok kicking the scarecrow, and the next moment, it was the look of Fudok falling to the ground and being devoured by straw worms.

And there was Zhen Lisi. Ni Jie remembered the terrified expression on her face when Ni Ye pushed her into the basement, and his own figure was reflected in her eyes.

After Fudock died, they ran all the way into the red house. Because of fear and self-blame, Zhen Lisi kept talking crazy, so Ni Ye and Ni Jie decided to let her calm down.

The next moment, the terrified Jane Lis in her mind turned into a silent figure lying on the ground. Dense black spiders crawled out of the wound on her face. From a distance, they looked like ants leaving a hole.

Then, Zhen Lisi's figure disappeared and he saw Ni Ye.

Seeing him struggling in pain, his face red and purple, his eyes looking like they were about to pop out...

Although the doors and windows of the library were closed, he suddenly felt a cool breeze blowing gently across the back of his neck.

Ni Jie shuddered, and his eyes finally stopped being dull.

Run away...

He seemed to have heard the advice from Ni Ye.

Run!

"Ni Jie!" The movement behind him attracted the attention of the three people at the window. When they turned around, Ni Jie had already opened the door of the library with the diary in his arms.

Zild yelled, hoping that the other party would be scared, but unfortunately Ni Jie did not stop.

"He took the diary." Renault took the lead and chased after him, and Childe and Qiongzhi quickly followed. No one knew what had gone wrong with Ni Jie all of a sudden.

Except Ni Jie himself.

Ni Ye was showing him the way. The whites of Ni Jie's eyes gradually became covered with red bloodshot, and he ran out as if he was possessed.

"Our car!!!" Childe suddenly let out a girlish scream, because outside the school gate, Ni Jie got into the driver's seat with the diary!
