Chapter 209 A Family of Three

That person came in!

Come into her room!

Right in front of her door!

This realization made Qiao Yan subconsciously take a few steps back and keep a distance from the small door.

However, the people outside seemed to have seen her retreat and suddenly decided to attack. The knocking on the door became more and more crazy, not like knocking, but more like banging on the door.

Qiao Yan stared at her door, which was shaking constantly, as if it was about to fall down at any moment.

[Fuck, where did this pervert come from?! Get out!]

[I'm already getting goosebumps. How did that pervert get in?!]

[Did someone break in? This neighborhood is too old, and the security isn't very high!]

[There should be some sound when picking a lock, right? ]

[He wouldn't have been hiding in the house all this time...?]

[…Stop talking, help me, I have goosebumps all over my body.]

Qiao Yan had obviously thought of this possibility as well, and immediately felt both disgusted and terrified. The thought of someone hiding in his house, watching his every move...

"wrong……"

A horrifying scene emerged in her imagination. Qiao Yan's thoughts turned and she immediately denied this possibility. If the man was hiding in the house, then what were the knocks on the door before?

Could it be that the other person was knocking on the outside door from inside the house? Then he was hiding too quickly, right? After all, Qiao Yan only entered and exited the room in a few seconds!

After all the ideas were rejected one by one, Qiao Yan was basically certain that the person who broke the door had not been hiding in the house before, so it was more likely that it was a surveillance camera. He probably used some quiet method to pry the door open.

While she was thinking about these things, she did not sit idle. She moved the small table and chairs in the room to block the door, and then searched the room for the manicure set that she had put away today and took out the small scissors inside.

Despite the doubts and fears in her heart, Qiao Yan's thoughts were very clear.

She was now trapped in this room, and she didn't know when someone outside would break in. The fourth floor was obviously not suitable for escaping by jumping off the building, so she had to make use of everything she could!

After listening to the crying for more than half an hour, she was finally going to rest, but now this happened again. How could Qiao Yan dare to sleep? Even if the banging on the door stopped, she would stay awake until dawn.

Although the door was shaking after being smashed, fortunately it never really fell down. And the people outside didn't know why they only smashed the door and had no intention of prying the door lock.

Qiao Yan held the small scissors and persisted until 4:30 in the morning, when the sound of banging on the door completely disappeared.

At that time she was already sitting on the ground, her back leaning against the wall.

She had been tense the entire night, and when she relaxed, she felt sleepy, but how could she dare to fall asleep? She forced herself to wait for another half hour before carefully opening the door.

She slowly opened the door inward, revealing a gap through which she could observe the outside.

The living room was very quiet, with no one in sight.

So Qiao Yan slowly widened the gap in the door, then bent down and quickly stuck her head out to look around.

There is really no one!

She breathed a sigh of relief and finally walked out of the bedroom.

Everything in the living room was the same as it was last night, without any changes. The intruder did not steal anything from her, although it was nothing valuable to begin with, and the other party did not destroy anything either.

Qiao Yan walked quickly to the door to check the lock. The lock was rusty, but there was no sign of picking the lock, not even a small scratch.

"It shouldn't be..." She frowned and checked again carefully. After making sure that there were really no traces, her heart, which had finally relaxed a little, was lifted up again.

After closing the door, she searched the house again, but still couldn't find any hidden cameras.

This is simply unbelievable.

After all the actions, she was sweating all over and her mouth was dry, so she boiled a pot of water for herself, then washed up briefly and changed into dry clothes.

When she came out of the bathroom, the water had become warm and just right for drinking.

After drinking the water, Qiao Yan felt much more comfortable, but she hadn't slept all night, and her temples were throbbing with pain.

I looked up at the time and it was already seven o'clock.

She sent a text message to Aunt Liu, asking if there was a reliable locksmith nearby. She wanted to replace the door lock, which was now rusty.

Aunt Liu didn't reply to her, maybe because she wasn't checking her phone.

So, Qiao Yan simply packed up her things and decided to go out and look around nearby.

Coincidentally, as soon as he went out, he bumped into the door of room 401 next door, which was also open. A man walked out holding the girl's hand, followed by a woman wearing a blue and white striped cotton top and light blue jeans.

"Hello." Qiao Yan greeted them with a smile, and the family of three responded enthusiastically.

"Hello, new neighbor?" The man pinched the girl's armpit and held her in his arms. The girl giggled and turned to Qiao Yan and said, "Hello, sister."

"Hello, you're so good." Qiao Yan said, then looked at the woman. She had just said hello along with the man, but her voice was a little softer than the man's and a little covered up. However, Qiao Yan heard it, so she nodded at her.

Qiao Yan observed the woman calmly. What was strange was that although she had cried for so long last night, her eyes did not appear red or swollen, and her complexion looked good, rosy and translucent.

Qiao Yan followed the family downstairs and asked, "Do you know of a reliable locksmith nearby? I'm planning to replace that rusty lock."
