Chapter 256 Ceiling Light

She shivered violently, and couldn't tell whether it was because the air conditioner was set too low or something else.

About ten minutes passed like this, and their class was released early and allowed to move around freely, putting practice on hold for the time being.

After walking out of the classroom, Nali and Yang Feiyu went to the next door to take a look and found that people were still practicing the movements normally.

"What bad luck..." Yang Feiyu sighed, "I don't know what to do this afternoon. How could someone so perfectly fine suddenly go crazy? Did they take the wrong medicine?"

Nari shook her head, indicating that she didn't know either.

She went to the front desk and asked about the air conditioner. The staff said that it was repaired around the late night last night. This time coincided perfectly and there was nothing wrong with it.

Nari originally wanted to sneak over to the infirmary here to check on the teacher's condition after Yang Feiyu left, but Yang Feiyu didn't want to stay in the room and insisted on dragging Nari to another building.

The latter couldn't resist, and finally the two of them entered the performance hall together through the side door. You know, after entering through this door, you can directly reach the backstage of the stage.

It was very quiet inside. Nali was pulled by Yang Feiyu to jog. Yang Feiyu said that she wanted to feel the feeling of standing in the center of the stage like Liao Xiaoe.

But when the two of them approached the backstage, they heard a noise inside. Suddenly, they both fell silent, and under the illumination of the not-so-bright small light, they changed from jogging to walking lightly forward.

They carefully pulled aside the dark red curtain from the side of the stage, and then Yang Feiyu immediately covered her mouth to suppress the scream that almost burst out of her chest.

There were no spotlights on the stage as there were during performances, but there were still two figures dancing in the center.

There was no music, so Nari and the others didn't know what song the two were dancing to, but judging from their actions and expressions, it seemed that the characters had a close relationship.

Yang Feiyu's whole body was stiff because there were two people on the stage, one of whom was a ballet dancer she had always liked, and the other was someone she hated to death.

"It's just practice, right?" Yang Feiyu turned her head to look at Nali, urgently needing her to stabilize her crumbling house.

Nari bit her lip but didn't nod in the affirmative. After all, if it was practice, why would these two people be secretly training here... alone?

Yang Feiyu closed her eyes in despair, and the house in her heart collapsed. She grabbed the curtain tightly and kept preparing herself mentally.

"Are you sure you're okay?" The person dancing silently on the stage finally spoke.

"I don't know." Liao Xiaoe shook her head. As she raised her head, her slender neck stretched slightly, looking like a swan.

Meng Liming frowned: "The surveillance camera didn't capture anything."

"..." Liao Xiaoe nodded. "I've watched every surveillance video, and there really isn't anything captured. The leader isn't shielding anyone. Everything was suddenly destroyed in a second. It's unbelievable."

"Surveillance footage can be tampered with, but those who came to experience it all had alibis. No one was absent from the classroom when the incident occurred, but the surveillance footage didn't capture anyone else entering before or after, so I'm suspicious..."

"But they have no reason to do this?" Liao Xiaoe stopped dancing and turned to Meng Liming. "Maybe some of them don't like me, but the troupe is the most important thing. No one would do something that would harm others and not benefit themselves."

This conversation made Yang Feiyu's eyes widen behind the curtain. She looked at Nari with a clear question in her eyes: Is this something we can listen to?

Nari reached out and patted her shoulder, signaling her to remain quiet.

"Ah..." Meng Liming sighed and walked down the stairs to the right of the stage. He turned back to look at Liao Xiaoe who was still standing on the stage. "My application to withdraw from the band has been approved, and it will take effect after this tour. I hope to resolve all remaining issues before then, otherwise, once my withdrawal is announced, these problems may become even more serious."

"We shouldn't have chosen to hide it in the first place." Liao Xiaoe looked at him and slowly retreated to the center of the stage. "Please help me check. This part was not performed yesterday."

"Yeah." Meng Liming scratched his hair and sat down in the first row.

Liao Xiaoe was dancing alone on the unlit stage. Her steps were not heavy, but because there was no music, every move could be heard clearly.

There is no light, but when she dances, you feel like she is glowing.

For a moment, Nali and Yang Feiyu were so stunned that they forgot they were hiding. Their heads automatically followed Liao Xiaoe's figure. When her figure got farther away, their necks stretched out.

Liao Xiaoe jumped from the other end of the stage to the center, turned around a few times, and then jumped towards Nali and the others. Yang Feiyu was very excited and subconsciously tightened her hands holding the curtain, so Nali heard a rustling sound beside her.

Under normal circumstances, this sound would definitely not attract anyone's attention, but in this quiet environment, this sound lightly broke the silence and interrupted Liao Xiaoe's immersion.

She looked straight over. Because the two people behind the curtain were facing away from the light, Liao Xiaoe couldn't see their faces at all. All she could see were two pairs of eyes with distinct black and white.

"ah!"

The momentary distraction and sudden fright made her forget how to jump. Under the horrified gazes of Nali and Yang Feiyu, Liao Xiaoe was unable to control her landing, and her foot slipped and she fell to the floor of the stage.
