Chapter 81 Dining Car

Don't stay in the hallway for too long.

Qiu Yue was shocked. She was not sure whether the seven of them had seen the prompt on TV, nor was she sure whether someone was already waiting outside.

She hurriedly opened the door. There was a place in front of her room where two lamps separated her room and no light could reach her. She looked against the light and saw that there was indeed a person standing in the corridor.

When the man saw her open the door, he immediately smiled foolishly.

Sun Bufei was not good at this kind of game. The reason why he was able to go on the carousel was that he relied on the arm strength and physical strength he had trained in the gym, and also because of the reminders from Zheng Yi and Yan Bei.

He entered his room, walked around to identify the various functional areas, and then came out to wait for someone in the corridor. He thought that if Qiu Yue came out later, he could chat with her for a while.

Sure enough, God was blessing him. He saw Qiu Yue open the door.

Sun Bufei was about to speak when Qiu Yue interrupted him: "Go back to your room."

"What?" Sun Bufei was a little confused. "Aren't we waiting to go to the restaurant for dinner together?" Although he asked this, his legs had already moved towards his room on their own and his hand took out the room card.

"Turn on the TV in your room and memorize the content." Qiu Yue raised her chin slightly, signaling him to go back quickly.

"Oh, okay."

He is quite obedient.

Sun Bufei returned to the room, and Qiu Yue simply left the door half open to prevent other people from coming out and waiting.

For a moment, the only sound in the entire space was her breathing. After a while, she felt a little stuffy. There was no window at the end of the corridor for ventilation...

Quietly feeling the rise and fall of her breathing, Qiu Yue stared at the floral wallpaper in a daze, feeling that her brain seemed to have become a little dull.

Until another sudden sound in the corridor reached her ears.

There was the rustling of wheels on the carpet, the faint sound of footsteps, and occasionally the sound of one or two porcelain clinking.

She reacted quickly and closed the door without making a sound.

Then he stood on tiptoe and looked outside through the peephole on the door.

Sure enough, a dining cart appeared at the corner of the corridor. The cart was covered with a white tablecloth, and on it were two silver trays filled with fruits, snacks and tea.

The four small wheels of the dining cart rolled over the carpet, leaving two obvious marks with its weight.

The person pushing the food cart was dressed like a staff member, wearing crimson clothes and white gloves, and there seemed to be nothing wrong with it.

He pushed the food cart past every door without knocking, which made Qiu Yue a little confused. There was no other passage at the end of their corridor, and the other party didn't knock on the door. What was he doing here...

Her eyes widened in slight surprise as the man pushing the food cart stopped in front of her door.

The other party seemed to know that someone was looking at him through the peephole. After stopping, he raised his head to look at the peephole. In just a moment, Qiu Yue's entire back was soaked.

The person outside just now seemed to be looking at her.

Her hand fell on the door lock, and just as the door closed, she didn't have time to lock it.

Her breathing couldn't help but become a little rapid. She held her breath and dared not gasp for air. Her hand slowly turned the lock on the door.

“Click.”

With a soft sound, she locked the door, and the person outside tilted his head, as if to confirm what the sound was just now, and then he smiled.

Through the peephole, Qiu Yue saw the other party push the dining cart forward a little, then straightened up, raised his hand and knocked on her room door with his knuckles.

Boom boom boom,

She didn't respond.

Boom boom boom,

She still didn't respond.

Qiu Yue kept repeating the sentence on TV in her mind: "Our staff will never disturb you at will."

The person outside was not angry at her silence. Instead, he knocked on the door again: "Sir, please open the door. I'm here to serve you some snacks and tea."

"I didn't ask for snacks or tea." Qiu Yue wiped the sweat that was flowing down to her eyes, and quickly moved back in front of the cat.

When she met those eyes again, her heart skipped a beat. He seemed to be standing closer, and Qiu Yue could clearly feel that his gaze was falling on her through the cat's eye.

"This is a gift from our hotel~" He tilted his head and smiled, "Please wait a moment, I'll have them call you to confirm."

Telephone.

Qiu Yue looked back at the white phone on the bedside table. Sure enough, its small rectangular screen lit up and then rang.

"Ring, ring, ring—ring, ring, ring—"

There really is a phone.

She swallowed, walked over and answered the call, "Hello?"

"Hello, are you Ms. Moon from room 1-1084?" Moon, this is her game nickname.

"I am."

"Okay, Ms. Moon, we have indeed arranged for staff to bring you snacks and tea. Please accept them."

Qiu Yue frowned and asked, "Why did you send me snacks and tea?"

"Yes, ma'am. You are the thousandth person to check in at our hotel! This is an inherent benefit of our hotel. The 500th guest who checked in before us also received this service."

"Okay, I understand."

After hanging up the phone, Qiu Yue turned her attention to the still-lit TV screen. She had the phone, but...

"In the absence of a phone notification..." she murmured. Judging from the word order, the phone notification should come first, rather than the notification and confirmation after the person arrives, right?

It’s really a lie!

I almost missed the point.
