Chapter 85 Water Ghost

The people still on the pirate ship didn't know what was happening near the fountain. After Sun Bufei fell down, Li Xing and Zheng Yi were still being harassed by two water ghosts.

The water ghost that had been pestering Sun Bufei lost its primary target, and its cloudy and red eyes rolled around as it looked at the people at the stern.

The swollen limbs slid as if swimming, and soon slid in front of Qiu Yue and the other three.

It targeted Liu Yingying, the girl who had kept her eyes closed since the pirate ship game. She had no idea what was happening in the outside world. Qiu Yue and Yan Bei beside her were her only two sources of security.

As the ship swayed, the stern rose high into the air.

"Yingying, hold on tight!" Qiu Yue and Yan Bei took advantage of the rare opportunity to take a breath and spoke to her very quickly.

Liu Yingying closed her eyes and nodded, even though she didn't know why the two people around her suddenly emphasized this to her.

Gurgle.

Once again falling and entering the water, the invisible sea water soaked Liu Yingying's cheeks, and this time, it brought another strange touch.

Something brushed against her neck repeatedly, strand by strand. Was it Qiu Yue's or Yan Bei's hair? She closed her eyes and frowned, thinking, one hand tightly holding the iron bar in front of the seat, the other hand grasping Qiu Yue's arm.

The hair was swaying in the water and wrapped around Liu Yingying's neck in circles, but it did not tighten.

Qiu Yue and Yan Bei held up their eyelids and each stretched out a hand to try to pull away the hair that was slowly wrapping around Liu Yingying's neck, while the swollen and inflated water ghost also stretched out his hands.

It felt like a huge balloon was stuffed in her arms. Liu Yingying frowned uncomfortably because the balloon felt soft, like cotton soaked in water, and gave off a strong fishy smell mixed with something.

She could sense what the people sitting on either side of her were doing, their movements seemed anxious and a bit too strong. So Liu Yingying finally mustered the courage to pry her eyes open a crack.

It’s better not to support it.

Almost the moment she saw that thing, she subconsciously used her hands to frantically try to push away the "human-shaped balloon" that was clinging to her.

Liu Yingying once read a news report. Due to a mistake made by the staff, the initial report pictures were not blurred, so she saw that the drowned person appeared to be a giant.

That photo made her unable to eat for a whole week.

And now, something almost identical to the one in that picture was lying on her body!

When she saw this scene, she completely collapsed. She didn't care that she was still in the "sea" anymore, she just wanted to break free.

Qiu Yue and Yan Bei hurriedly grabbed her hands. The stern of the boat slowly rose again. If Liu Yingying didn't hold on tightly, she would probably fall down.

"Woo woo... Gurgle..."

Liu Yingying waved her hands in panic to push the swollen water ghost. Her movements were too violent and the people on both sides could not hold her. Instead, the water ghost hugged her tighter. The hair wrapped around her neck was also tightening little by little, which restricted her breathing.

Water poured into her nasal cavity, and some of it flowed into her throat. She kept twisting her body, opening her mouth wide, and spewing out strings of bubbles from her mouth.

The other people were also very anxious. As the altitude increased, Liu Yingying was obviously starting to slide down.

Yan Bei held his breath, gave up trying to catch Liu Yingying, and instead simply tried to grab the water ghost's face, but was almost bitten on the finger by the ghost.

The water ghost had sharp teeth. If she didn't stop in time, her fingers would have been bitten off.

Liu Yingying felt like she was about to die.

The hair wrapped around her neck had left red marks on her neck. The water ghost's legs were clamped around her waist, and his arms passed through her shoulders and covered her back, and his long black nails scratched the skin on her back.

Even if the stern where Liu Yingying was located reached the top, she had no way to breathe. Her gradually numb hands made a final effort based on the instinct for survival, tearing the hair on her neck.

Liu Yingying could clearly feel that half of her body had fallen out, and her entire upper body was about to turn over. Qiu Yue and Yan Bei were still grabbing her clothes and pulling her back.

Because she couldn't breathe, her whole face gradually turned liver-colored. Finally, Liu Yingying gave up struggling, gritted her teeth, grabbed the backs of Qiu Yue and Yan Bei's hands, and shook her head reluctantly.

After learning of her decision, the two friends hesitated for a moment and then let go of her hand. No one expected that this was only the second day and the second project, but they had already lost three teammates.

When Liu Yingying fell out, she clearly felt the water ghost on her body was about to loosen her restraint. For a moment, she had only one thought in her mind: if she died, she would take someone with her.

She no longer tried to push it away, but instead took the initiative to open her hands and grab it tightly, just like the thing in front of her had grabbed her tightly. As soon as the water ghost left the range of the pirate ship, it opened its mouth and bit her neck anxiously, but Liu Yingying didn't care anymore.

She dragged the water ghost and sank into the deep sea with her.

There are only five players left on the pirate ship.

Fortunately, there were only three water ghosts. One of them was taken away by Liu Yingying, and the remaining two were harassing Li Xing and Zheng Yi. At least the other three people were temporarily safe.

The pirate ship's rocking height slowly decreased, which was good news, meaning that this round of the game was about to end. But it was also bad news, because if they didn't reach the highest point, it meant they would not have the opportunity to breathe.

The three people at the stern were fine; they just had to hold their breath, but the remaining two people at the bow...

Li Xing's facial features were wrinkled together, and there were obvious scratches on his neck and arms. The stinging sensation when he touched the salty and humid sea water was doubled.

They both had good physical strength, and after their strong arms broke free, they had room to maneuver.

Li Xing pressed the water ghost's head against the iron rod in front of him with one hand. The water ghost opened its mouth but couldn't bite him, so it scratched him with its long black nails.

Unexpectedly, even after being scratched several times, the man still didn't let go. The water ghost twisted his body and no longer entangled the man. His hand also changed direction and went straight to grab his bulging belly.

Its claws were very sharp, and Li Xing felt it deeply, but he did not expect that the water ghost would attack him.

The water ghost's stomach was always swollen. When he poked it with his finger, it deflated quickly like a balloon, and a pile of turbid liquid mixed with green and yellow came out of his stomach.

The liquid quickly mingled with the invisible seawater, and the stench filled the air. Along with the liquid, small, dead, white octopuses emerged from its belly.

They crawled out from the water ghost's belly and swam away in dense groups. The water ghost that was entangled with Zheng Yi also followed suit. For a moment, countless white little octopuses attacked people indiscriminately.
